As a remote force, the Skeleton Mages were closest to Gu Xi. Upon hearing Gu Xi’s command, they immediately took action.

And as they drew mana, Gu Xi also turned his gaze to a few positions he had noticed.

Sure enough, as the Skeleton Mages began to draw mana, there were some disturbances, more or less, in the positions Gu Xi focused on.

It seems just as he guessed, there are heroes present in those positions.

With a quick glance, Gu Xi swiftly issued the latest command.

The Zombie Axe and Shield were formed into five rows, blocking the position where the enemy cavalry would impact, with all of Gu Xi’s Skeleton Shooters and Skeleton Mages behind them.

Gu Xi had considered the method to deal with cavalry: zombies to hold the enemy, using shooters and spell attacks.

As for the remaining troops, they were to be deployed against the other enemies at this time.

Looking at the already gathered enemies, Gu Xi had no intention of waiting for them to attack.

He held up the Cold Wind Staff and laid down numerous Flame Traps around him, pointing to the area with the most undead.

”Attack!”

The attacking unit was Gu Xi’s Skeleton Gunners.

Although without the command of the Skeleton Boss from Battle Squad 1, their strength wasn’t actually weak. After several expeditions, they were no longer inexperienced as before.

Under the command of four Skeleton Bosses, they put the experienced Skeleton Gunners at the front, forming a neat battle array, actively charging towards the area with the most undead.

The undead on that side were stunned by the charge of the Skeleton Gunners.

They hadn’t expected Gu Xi to send out his troops proactively at this time.

So several undead heroes quickly made their choices, and in the attacked group of undead, a large number of zombies stood out immediately, with several Skeleton Shooters holding giant bows and arrows behind them, ready for precise shooting.

Further back were the Skeleton Soldiers, who were the most numerous among these undead.

Unlike Gu Xi’s habit of using Skeleton Gunners, these Skeleton Soldiers were mostly orthodox Skeleton Soldiers, the kind holding sword and shield.

Gu Xi found these the hardest to deal with, due to their traits, as the piercing damage from the gunners was relatively low against them.

Plus, these Skeleton Soldiers were of relatively high levels, with most even being warriors. In a real fight, Gu Xi’s Skeleton Gunners might not be their match.

However, what Gu Xi needed wasn’t for the Skeleton Gunners to kill all the enemies, but to hold them off, giving Gu Xi the opportunity to deal with the two waves of ghosts.

After arranging the undead, Gu Xi took a deep breath and set his sights on the Ghost Maid’s position.

He chose the Ghost Maids not because they appeared weak but because, of the two waves of ghosts, the Ghost Maids were closest to Gu Xi.

The Ghost Maids had also noticed Gu Xi’s move, and they didn’t expect Gu Xi to attack them after sending out the largest undead forces. According to their thoughts, Gu Xi’s target should have been the other Ghost Corps.

Actually, they couldn’t have guessed that Gu Xi’s choice of them as targets was simply due to their proximity.

Facing such enemies, Gu Xi immediately used Magic Divine Arrow.

This magic, which he had just learned, had the longest flight distance and was a magic attack, not a physical attack. Such an attack was 100% effective against ghosts.

As an ice-formed flying sword struck the Ghost Maid, these Ghost Maids also began charging towards Gu Xi.

Gu Xi estimated the power of the Magic Divine Arrow and made a judgment about the strength of the Ghost Maid.

Their life was at least above 60, and their defense power was relatively high. One arrow from Gu Xi’s Magic Divine Arrow might only severely injure them.

If he couldn’t kill them in one shot, using the Magic Divine Arrow again would be wasteful.

If it took two Magic Divine Arrows to kill just one Ghost Maid, Gu Xi might as well use Bone Spike instead.

Luckily, Gu Xi wasn’t hoping to annihilate all these Ghost Maids at the start. As they rushed towards him, Gu Xi quickly switched tactics.

”Bone Storm!”

A large number of bone fragments appeared in the path of the charging Ghost Maids.

The Ghost Maids flew at high speed, and as Gu Xi unleashed the Bone Storm, they charged right into it.

Although ghosts can be immune to physical attacks, the immunity chance is only 50%, not a complete negation, and Bone Storm is a large-scale attack technique.

The Ghost Maids, upon entering the attack zone of the Bone Storm, were hit hundreds of times within seconds.

Moreover, these attacks had an ice effect that the ghosts couldn’t completely negate.

As a result, the fastest flying Ghost Maids were immediately turned into white light by the Bone Storm, disappearing from their ranks.

The trailing Ghost Maids noticed things were wrong and wanted to stop, but it was already too late. After confirming the effect of the Bone Storm, Gu Xi quickly launched two more, targeting the Ghost Maids’ ranks from left and right.

At this point, the hero hidden within the Ghost Maids finally made a move.

It was a ghost indistinguishable from the other Ghost Maids.

She had been flying at the back of the formation.

As the Bone Storms from Gu Xi attacked, this Ghost Maid finally stood forward, her body changing from blue semi-transparent to a red semi-transparent form.

After flying out, she spread her hands outward, forming a shield-like barrier around the Ghost Maids, and all the Ghost Maids quickly crowded inside, flying together towards Gu Xi.

Gu Xi understood their intention at a glance.

Clearly, they wanted to use the shield to block the Bone Storms and reach Gu Xi.

This act of gathering together, however, gave Gu Xi an opportunity.

Seeing he had nearly 300 mana points left, Gu Xi gritted his teeth, pointed at the Ghost Maids’ position, and declared:

”Death Incarnation!”

The Death Incarnation, which had been recuperating in the Longgu Laboratory, charged out from behind Gu Xi.

Due to the Crystal Storm, black mist, and Melting Light being sealed by the jester, it would take another half a day to unseal them. Gu Xi initially didn’t plan to release the Death Incarnation.

But not wanting to miss such a good opportunity, Gu Xi went ahead.

Thus, for the first time without the accompanying black mist, the Death Incarnation appeared on the battlefield.

The black dragon bone, with a metallic gleam, immediately drew everyone’s attention when it appeared.
