Triple X System

’Bang! bang! bang!’

”Wake up you fucking peasant, it’s time for your big day!” A guard yelled. banging the door of a room, as about seven other armed guards stood behind him. Inside the room was a dark haired boy, laying on ruffled bedsheets scattered across the bed. Some of the pillows and sheet on the floor.

”Hey asshole! Don’t tell me you fucking died before you even left.” The guard sarcastically said, causing the group to erupt into laughter.

”Can’t I have some few seconds of rest before I sacrifice myself.” Kyle muttered, his eyes slowly fluttering open. Sitting up straight, dark circle bags could be seen under his eyes. His dark hair was now all ruffled and spiked, like a mad man.

”Fucking imbeciles! I wouldn’t be the one sacrificing myself, if you two goody shoes weren’t so useless now would I?” Kyle yelled in anger, as the other party halted a bit.

”T-this bastard.. I might just kill him before Lynn gets to him.” With his advanced hearing, Kyle could hearly hear what they were saying. He didn’t mind the insults and curses, as he was already used to it right from earth.

’Bang! bang! bang!’

”Get the hell out here peasant or I’ll have your head in the name of the king!” The guard yelled more, with every bit of disdain and irritation.

”Yeah yeah.. don’t crap your pants I’ll be out in a minute.” Kyle lazily said proceeding to the shower. Gazing at himself through the mirror, he couldn’t deny he was a mess right now.

’I’ve had worse days.’ shrugging, he then brushed his teeth. taking much more time than he usually did, as he brushed like three times.

’You never know when you’re gonna die so why not look your best.’ Kyle chuckled spitting into the sink. He didn’t know what happened when one usually died, but it wasn’t anything pleasant. He’d also wondered if there was an afterlife, of heaven and hell.

But within this past few days everything about his reasoning had changed, as it had taken a toll on his personality. Shaking his head, he then pulled all his clothes and entered the shower. It had an automatic motion sensor, so it automatically turned on as Kyle entered.

’Mhmm.. I can get used to this.’ Kyle smiled, enjoying the sweet sensation of the hot water dripping from his body. His tense muscles were slowly relaxing, as he savoured every moment.

”T-this peasant~ just how long does it takes to have a goddamn shower.” The male guard from earlier angrily spoke, a vein bulging on his forehead.

”Calm down sky. the king ordered us not to engage him.” A younger male guard gently tapped his fuming colleague.

”Yeah.. only because they messed with king Troy’s head. I mean come on people, wake up! haven’t you all noticed the king’s been acting strange.” He said raising his voice a bit.

”Damn it sky! lower your voice, he could hear us.” A female chastised him. a frown forming on her face, to which she received a murderous glare from sky.

”Who cares if he hears huh? Don’t you think I’d already have been dead? Face it! the king isn’t himself now, the kingdom is under threat from his psycho daughter, And we’re here.. waiting for a common disgusting peasant to finish his bath!” Sky yelled in anger, his veins on display with his eyes dilated a bit.

”And here I thought I was the only one that was crazy.” Kyle softly said. protruding out the room, dressed in a black sleeveless vest with black trousers and boots.

”I thought you wanted to kill me what happened? Didn’t grow enough balls?” Kyle said with a sly smirk, adding salt to the injury.

”You piece of shit!” sky roared, about to head out but was stopped by his friend.

”Don’t do it sky, he’s not worth it.” Ben said holding sky’s arm. Letting out a snort, sky managed to control himself walking away.

”Well don’t just stand there let’s go.” Ben coldly said, to which Kyle simply smiled nodding. They then formed a circle with Kyle in the middle, as they headed up the lift to the throne room.

”I didn’t think there’d be this much crowd.. ha! the price of being famous.” Kyle dramatically said, earning an awkward glance from Ben. Reaching the throne room, the two huge golden doors were already open wide.

Kyle could sense an enormous amount of presence in the room, along with four high powered individuals on the not so tall podium.

”We apologize for the delay your majesty but this peasant is to blame.” Sky said bowing his head, with a snickering smile that made Kyle be on guard.

”Well what can I say ’your majesty’.. I had to take my time in the shower, I never know if it might be my last. As they say, you only live once.” Kyle lazily spoke with a light smile.

”Today is the day you venture of to save my daughter-”

”Or get killed!” Boris chipped in, earning an awkward look from everyone in the room.

”What? It’s true.” Boris shrugged with an indifferent expression, not intimidated one bit by their piercing stares.

”Yes thanks for that Boris.” Troy awkwardly said to which Boris nodded. ”As you already know, the journey that awaits you is a perilous and dangerous one.” Troy seriously said staring at Kyle.

’Jeez.. spare me the drama.’ Kyle yawned, tired of Troy’s dramatic acts.

”To prepare you for the journey ahead, you’ve undergoed three trainings from the best of the best.” Troy said gesturing for ona to continue.

”To aid your journey, the king will be giving you these three state of the art items.” Ona said with a hint of nervousness.

Three guards then came in Kyle’s front, with different wrapped items in their hands. One by one they uncovered them, revealing the items. Looking at them, Kyle could see the first was a scroll. the second a special purple coloured gun, pulsing with purple energy. And the last was a small blue ball.

”The first item is a map of the kingdom’s layout and it’s surroundings, including the wastelands. Though I must warn you.. some things you encounter there might not be on the map, as it had been some years since it was drawn.” Ona explained, to which Kyle nodded picking up the scroll inspecting it.

He could see the outlines of Lumia kingdom, the castle, and the nearby towns. He also saw some rocky plains, which he guessed was the wastelands and other intriguing parts.

’This’ll definitely come in handy.’ Kyle thought, strapping the scroll by his side. His attention then shifted to the second item, which was the strange gun.

”The second item is a double cannon beam blaster, powered by a medium grade energy crystal.” Ona explained, seeing Kyle was staring at the gun.

”Medium grade? Do energy crystals have tiers?” Kyle asked confused, hearing ona clearly said this mana crystal was at the medium tier.

This time it was everyone else, apart from ona who had a shocked expression on their faces staring at Kyle.

’Shit! He doesn’t know.’ Ona was the only one who knew Kyle wasn’t from around here, so basically he wasn’t supposed to know these stuff.

”Of course. There are different tiers which we classify them, but that isn’t for a mere peasant to know.” Ona coldly said trying to act tough.

”Of course.. he spent most of his life as a slave so he isn’t expected to know such.” Eldren played along with a light smile, while Boris just snorted.

”Anyways.. the last is an ability disrupter. As the name implies, it disrupts the abilities of an individual including user, within a 5 meter radius. making them unable to use their ability for the next ten seconds.” Troy calmly said.

”A-an ability disrupter.” Kyle stuttered with wide eyes, staring at the tennis sized blue ball. ”If you had one of these then why didn’t you use it on Lynn?” Kyle frowned.

He never knew or heard of a thing called an ability disrupter ever! It was an extremely good equipment to have, even though it’s effects is short. If timed and utilized properly, one could achieve his desired goal.

”Because we only have four of them, and it wouldn’t make a difference with my previous condition.” Troy retorded in an angry tone, his fist clenched tightly.

’True.’ Kyle understood what troy meant, and he couldn’t deny it was true. They had both been previously banged up badly from each other’s attacks, before Lynn’s intervention.

Picking up the gun he crossed it at his back, putting the small ball in his pockets. ”Thanks for the gear, though am pretty sure I won’t be needing the beam blaster.” He honestly said.

He wasn’t used to using guns, as they didn’t suit his fighting style. ”Anyways these will have to do, am ready to leave now.” He said to which they all nodded.

”Wait!” A voice yelled from behind. Turning, Kyle could see Darwin running towards him with a sheathed item in his hand.

”Y-you.. i-i.. you owe me a fucking huge favour boy!!” Darwin screamed on top of his lungs, causing Kyle to defend his ears from the sudden assault. Turning, the dwarf then left the room leaving everyone in awkward silence.

As soon as Kyle touched it, the system screen popped up in his view. A wide smile slowly formed on his lips.

”So.. let’s get on with it shall we?” Eldren said breaking the ice.

”Yeah..” Kyle nodded shaking his head. He was about leaving with the guards, when he suddenly remembered something.

”Wait.. how can we go out the dome if it can’t be destroyed?” Kyle asked a bit confused, as the ominous purple dome still stood.

”Who said anything about destroying it?” A soft feminine voice spoke.
