Triple X System

[Death’s call activated]

The system notification flashed in Kyle’s retina but he quickly dismissed it. Turning the notification section off.

The main reason Kyle stalled was because of the notification that popped up in his view when he teleported here.

[Demon energy has been depleted due to user’s inactive state!]

[Accumulating demon energy..]

That was the reason he didn’t use any of his active skills since relying only on physical stats and his passive skills. He also received other notifications from the system but he brushed them away interrupted by eldren and Boris.

What is that thing. Boris could see a strange item in Kyle’s approaching palm. It looked like a small dark ball with spikes all over it spiraling fiercely. And seeing it heading straight for him made Boris gut burn.

Boom! A much larger explosion than the rest occured as Kyle’s hit collided with Boris sending him crashing back to the wall. Dark chains magically appeared wrapping onto Boris body like a snake.

Argh! What sort of ability is this. Boris wondered struggling to break free but unfortunately the chains wouldn’t bend to his wish. Every time he attempted to break free the dark chains would tighten around his body constricting his movements.

Snap! Snap! Snap!

Boris bones were mercilessly being snapped by the chains causing him to grunt in pain. He was slowly being enclosed by Kyle’s chains as he struggled to break free.

I-impossible.. eldren softly muttered staring in disbelief. His eyes were twitching uncontrollably with a shocked expression plastered on his face.

I knew you were special but.. this is beyond what I imagined. Eldren seriously said a frown forming on his face looking at Kyle. Shaking his head he then dropped the glass cup in his hands adjusting his hair a bit.

We were asked to bring you back alive but am afraid am going to have to break that agreement young one and we both know why.

Bam! Within the blink of an eye eldren had appeared in front of Kyle forcefully slamming the side of his hand to Kyle’s neck. The attack was too fast for Kyle to react as his system went offline.

Thud! Kyle’s body crashed hard to the floor unconscious in contrast the chains disappearing from Boris.

I didn’t need your help you dumb elf. Boris growled his ego insulted. Ignoring him eldren Stared at Kyle’s unconscious body with hesitant eyes. He then placed his hands on his chin for a few seconds contemplating about something.

It has to be done. T-their kind can’t be allowed to live, I won’t make that mistake again. Waving his hands a silver spear with strange engraving on it magically appeared mid-air falling into eldren’s hand.

What the hell are you doing weirdo? Boris frowned seeing the appearance of the silver spear. He knew what eldren planned on doing with it and even though he wanted to.. so badly he couldn’t afford to see eldren kill Kyle.

I have to do it.. don’t try to stop me Boris. Eldren barely uttered his gaze fixated on Kyle.

What the hell do you mean you darn elf.. I should be the one angry here you basically did nothing and now you want to kill him?

Y-you won’t understand you weren’t there. H-he’s not like us Boris. He’s evil and he must be cleansed. Eldren softly shook his head raising the silver spear up.

Damn it eldren.. your not like this what the hell’s gotten into you? Boris gritted his teeth trying to get across to eldren. He wondered what happened to have caused eldren to snap all of a sudden as he knew the latter to be cheerful.

He has to die and it’s final. Eldren muttered shoving the spear down to Kyle’s head.

Shit! Boris grunted propelling his body forward swiftly reaching eldren and stopping the attack with his sword. Don’t do this eldren as much as I hate to say this we need the little bastard.

Are you saying you’d rather stand in my way old friend?

I-if it means stopping you from yourself then yes! I’ll do it a million times you dumb elf. Boris said kicking Kyle away stretching his hand to him uttering some words.

Eternal cage!

Boris shouted as a flaming cage of about 4 feats high materialized containing Kyle. Now that he’s out of the way we can- Boris was cut short as he was forcefully sent back by eldren’s fist.

Stay out of this Boris you don’t understand! Eldren shouted a vein could be seen bulging on his forehead. His once calm demeanor disappearing without a single trace.

Argh! That tickles.. Boris smirked coughing up a mouthful of fresh blood. Clenching his sword tightly he advanced towards eldren slashing his sword vertically.

Blocking with the spear eldren then pierced forward making Boris shift his head to the side a bit. This is pointless Boris you’re only delaying the inevitable.

So I’ve been told! Twisting his arm Boris slashed at eldren’s feet causing the latter to leap a bit. Mid-air he thrusted his spear to Boris whom blocked by raising his sword a bit.

I-i don’t want to do this. Boris grunted feeling eldren’s spear grazing his crimson sword on his shoulders sending sparks of light flying everywhere. In a swift motion he released his grip on his sword pulling on eldren’s leg slamming him hard to the ground.

Bam! The ground was dented to some extent along with spiderweb crack marks running across the ground.

Don’t make me hurt you eldren just stay down. Boris scowled pointing the sword down to eldren. Grabbing the sword eldren then pulled Boris to the ground lifting himself up with the help of his spear.

Elfarmis bombarda. Eldren chanted softly his hands stretched out. A magical symbol composing of an eye in a triangle with a circle round it contained by a rectangle then formed.

Darn.. Boris grunted hastingly rolling across the floor as a series of small sized explosion occured.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The explosions lasted for some seconds before dying out. Standing up there was no signs of eldren nor Kyle.

That stubborn oaf. Recalling the location he’d kicked Kyle to Boris speedily ran there as he could see eldren in front. Approaching him several white magic rings formed in Boris front pulsing with power.

Shield! Boris immediately shouted gritting his teeth as a flaming shield appeared in front covering his whole body. The dozen rings then pulsed more blasting off an ethereal dim light to Boris.

I don’t want to fight you eldren.. think of what you’re doing. This isn’t you! Boris grunted knowing his fire shield wouldn’t last long against eldren’s rings blast.

Gripping his spear it glowed a bit vibrating with sheer power. Slashing down a couple of times the flaming cage couldn’t withstand the onslought of attacks from eldren spear finally giving out.

Bang! It exploded sending a gust of wind. Looking down there wasn’t anymore barrier separating him from Kyle. Raising the sword he proceeded to bring it down but stopped just inches from Kyle’s head.

W-what am I doing. Eldren inwardly thought conflicted, His face a mixture of anger and pain. He tried reassuring himself he was doing the right him but something in him struggled to believe otherwise.

He has to pay for what they did.. i-i have to get revenge. Eldren shook his head the image of young girl holding a beautiful woman played in his head.

Argh! Grunting he shoved the spear down hard as it pierced through the ground.

I-i can’t do it.. eldren panted resting on his silver spear just an inch besides Kyle’s head.

You stupid elf I knew you didn’t have the balls to get it done. Boris teased with a light smirk standing besides eldren his crimson sword sheathed around his waist.

Turning to boris eldren let out a deep sigh a smile forming on his face. Thank you Boris.. eldren softly spoke to which Boris responded with a snort tapping eldren’s shoulder lightly.

So what happened? Why did you suddenly go beserk on me. Boris frowned waiting for an answer. Hesitant a bit eldren sighed again recalling some tragic event.

Long ago I had a family.. a wife and a daughter. Eldren grimly spoke gripping his spear tightly.

Wait I thought elves weren’t meant to have families.

Yes but that wasn’t the case before. Elves were freely allowed to create families and fall in love with other races. But all that changed one fateful day. For the first time Boris could see tears streaming down eldren’s cheek which stunned him a bit as he could feel the emotions.

One day I was away protecting my kingdom from some beasts. Upon getting back I was faced with the gruesome sight of blood flowing like a river through the gates. My heart sunked as I rushed inside only to find the gruesome sight of my people murdered in cold blood. Pausing eldren was shaking slightly the heaviness dawning on him.

Elena Elly.. I cried clutching the dead body of my wife and little daughter. In front was letter it’s words written with blood.

This is the consequences of refusing my offer king eldren or should I just say eldren.. haha! Anyways your wife and daughter really screamed so hard as I gutted their insides with my bare hands.”

Eldren’s body was visibly shaking with anger recalling the traumatic experience. His aura bursting out like a bomb destroying everything in it’s path as even the surrounding walls were blown away.

At the end of the letter was a name I would never forget... Lucifer.. eldren spoke in a deep tone his aura becoming darker.

Hearing that name Boris eyes widened a bit clearly recognizing it as the lord of all demons.

Wait you’re saying he’s a demon?

Yes.. I sensed it earlier when I saw him but I didn’t want to jump into assumptions. Just now when you fought him the skill he used was the same I remembered a demon I encountered used.

Hearing that a frown formed on Boris face as he knew this would be a problem.
