Triple X System

After Kyle’s little talk with eldren he was currently on his way to his room. Most of the day had already been spent training so it was already getting to night time and he literally had nothing else to do for the day so he chose to rest.

Growl.. hmph guess it’s time to eat. Kyle smiled patting his stomach gently. Changing courses he then headed to the dinning room. As always some maids were there dishing the foods while some carried the leftover or cold ones back.

This dinning room was only meant for royalty and important figures so not even the guards or any one of low status dared eat here. The maids were always bringing smoking hot food returning the leftovers and the one’s untouched.

Just how much food do they have? Kyle wandered seeing the abundance of different dishes on the long floating rectangular tables. He hadn’t seen any farm or storage place where they harvested and stored their foods but like always. Kyle guessed it must be stored away in a hidden portion.

Shaking his head he then proceeded towards a table as all were empty. He could see some maids looked at him weirdly quickly averting their gazes murmuring something in a low tone.

Did you hear what happened to Susan and her daughter?

Yeah I heard Marie tried to kill the king when he was still in coma.

Who would’ve thought they would do such a thing.

They must’ve been planning this for a long time so they thought this was their moment to strike. Sighs.. I don’t blame them who knows what troy must’ve done to them!

With Kyle’s advanced hearing he could clearly hear the whispers they were saying.

Huh.. seems like am not the only one that wants the old fart dead. Kyle smirked not knowing whether to laugh or cry. He didn’t know who Marie and Susan were but he guessed they worked in the castle as part of the maids. As it was the only way they could’ve gotten so close to troy. He wondered how long they’d been in service to gain such level of trust from the guards to bypass so easily without them suspecting a thing.

Shaking his head he decided to dismiss the matter focusing on making peace with his angry tummy by devouring some food.

I hear king troy nearly killed them but stopped because of what something Susan claimed. One of the maids with black ruffled hair who looked to be in her late 60’s whispered glancing round.

Yeah I heard it too.. what was it she said again? Oh yeah! Susan claimed troy was the father of her daughter Marie. The other brunette haired maid spoke in a hushed voice carrying some dishes of leftover food away.

So what was Troy’s response? The old haggard maid asked tailing behind.

He didn’t say anything. He just asked they be placed in the medical section until they recover.

You’ve got to be kidding me. Kyle was taken aback a bit by hearing this. He dislikeed gossips so he’d refrained from prying into their discussion but his ears couldn’t help but pick up something juicy.

Why didn’t he kill them? Kyle wondered why troy didn’t outright kill them for attempted murder. He knew troy had gotten a tad soft but it wasn’t to the point he’d suddenly forgive a mere maid for attempting to take his life.

Something’s definitely fishy.. considering what these maids said and Troy’s actions Kyle knew something wasn’t right.

It’s none of my business anyways. Kyle shrugged clearly not involved in Troy’s affairs. Finishing his food he decided to stroll back and forth the hallway of the floor to his room.

What’s he doing here? Kyle wondered sensing troy approaching.

Shadow walk activated.

Kyle’s body was slowly engulfed in shadows becoming a shadowy figure as he hid behind a behind a dim lit wall. He could see troy steadily make his way past him seemingly in a hurry.

What’s he up to. Kyle could tell troy was acting stranger than usual so he decided to follow him.

I have to be careful enven though shadow walk hides my essence I can still be spotted by him. Kyle knew Troy’s will was higher than his and his shadow walk skill only conceals his presence from those who’s will are lower than his so he had to be careful not to be caught.

Tailing behind from a safe distance Kyle followed troy to a room at the end of the floor.

How didn’t I notice this room. Kyle had gotten attuned to all the rooms on this floor in a short while so he was surprised to see he didn’t notice this one room at the far end on the right side.

Looking at the door it was different from the other metal titanium doors with scanners and advanced protocols. It was a wooden door with strange symbols engraved on it with a palm imprint at the center.

Placing his hand to it troy released his aura a golden light spread to his hand into the door. To Kyle’s surprise the symbols could be seen twisting while the door chimed a mechanical sound clicking.

Clank! Thud! The door made a loud clang noise followed with a resonating thud as it slid open to the side. A narrow passage way with steep stairs going down came into view.

As troy took some steps down the room suddenly lit up with blue crystal’s illuminating the passage a bit.

Why do I have a bad feeling about this. Kyle rolled his eyes. According to the many novels he’d read steep narrow passages usually didn’t spell good as one didn’t know what lied at the end.

Clang! The wooden door made a clang noise closing back. Making a choice Kyle decided to follow troy down the steps.

Why the hell are these steps so steep. Kyle cursed struggling to maintain his balance descending down the steps. He wondered how troy was so poised and balance as the steps were really shallow.

Walking down a bit Kyle could finally see a wide platform down indicating the end of the passage. Thanks to the dim lighting in the room he didn’t have trouble blending in.

Clang clang clang!

What’s that clang noise. Kyle could hear some clang noises resonating thought the whole room. The sound was loud and he could feel the force it emitted as metal clashed against each other.

Even the air had suddenly plummeted as the atmosphere had gotten very hot.

How is the weapons forging process going Darwin. Troy calmly asked making his way towards a short man with brown hair wearing a brown medieval clothing.

Halting the short man then turned pointing the hammer fuming with a red glow towards Troy with a frown.

What do you think. He sarcastically retorded dropping the hammer on the sturdy wooden table. Ignoring troy he then walked over to a metal pot like furnace. Opening it the flames of the scorching furnace enveloped the room heating everything.

Shit! Just how long has that furnace been closed. Kyle grunted feeling the terrifying heat. He could Darwin wasn’t affected in the slightest even though he was directly close to the furnace. Same going for troy.

Picking up a scorching red item with a rag giving off a soft purple Darwin shut the furnace casually making his way to a trench.

Chiiiiii

The blazing item sizzled upon contact with water clouds of water evaporating upwards.

This is the what I could do within such little time. Darwin said placing a golden sword pulsing with raw energy on the table.

Wait.. isn’t that saint? Kyle could clearly tell that was Troy’s golden sword he used when fighting him. Looking at it now it was a shadow of it’s former self as it wasn’t radiating more brightly like before and the energy emitting from it was low.

Picking up the sword it glowed a bit with Troy’s touch. Examining it the crack marks from before weren’t there anymore but it still wasn’t in top condition.

This will do for now thanks for your help Darwin. Troy spoke to which Darwin simply waved his hand as it was nothing. Turning troy was about leaving but halted hearing Darwin’s speak.

I hear am next in training the boy. Darwin softly said stroking his bushy braided beard.

Yes as expected he failed in both his trainings with eldren and Boris. Hopefully he’ll won’t screw things up with you.

Haha! Fingers crossed. Darwin chuckled not surprised in the slightest. Exchanging pleasantries troy took his leave ascending the steps.

Troy doesn’t seem to trust you with his daughter’s safety but I think am getting to like you. Darwin smiled pointing his hammer to where Kyle hid.

He can’t see me can he? Kyle was really far from Darwin and giving the room’s dim lighting he was confident he couldn’t be spotted by Darwin.

Well boy what do you say we begin our training since you’re hear? Darwin said with an intimidating smile making Kyle freeze in his tracks.
