Three Towers Game

Chapter 1321: Chapter 419: Writing the Pen of the Master of the Pen

Those who survive here are eligible for sixty points, but if their answers are excellent enough, they might earn more points.

Wen Xishu had already started writing furiously, but before that, he had indeed come up with several ideas in his mind.

For example: psychological description.

The so-called being caught by Reid, radiating flames, is just like a pair of ill-fated lovers, where one bursts with immense jealousy, wanting to control the other person.

Yes, those flames are not real flames, but the fire of jealousy, the fire of desire, symbolizing the frenzy and searing heat within Reid’s heart.

Writing it like this would likely solidify his friendship with Reid.

But considering that this approach was overly emotional, and what is written tends to come true, such friendship might head in a different direction, so he decisively rejected this idea.

Wen Xishu quickly thought of another writing approach, deconstructionism, to deconstruct character relationships.

This is an oil painting called ”Trust”. It employs strong symbolism. The Reid in the painting is not his true self, but a symbol of ’manipulated anger’, with the black mark on his neck being a visual symbol of ’external will’.

Flames occupy seventy percent of the painting, which are not realistic flames, but a foretelling of the destructive energy of ”emotional outburst”. The ”I” at the center of the painting is not the real Wen Xishu, but the artistic image of an ”innocent victim”.

The true theme of the entire painting is not the mutual destruction of companions, but a righteous soul engaging in a life-and-death struggle against some alien spiritual manipulation.

The painter’s brushstroke hesitates slightly at the corner of Reid’s eye, hinting at the struggle of his true feelings.

But at the moment of writing, Wen Xishu considered a possibility, that the Reid in the painting is not the real entity, and neither is the ”I” the real Wen Xishu.

These two lines, once written, could very likely be obliterated by the rules, deeming them as untruthful descriptions.

After all, the one full of rage in the painting, without a doubt, is Reid, and the victim in the painting, without a doubt, is himself.

So it must be restored.

Thus, Wen Xishu provided the final solution for the first painting.

”The Wen Xishu in the painting was invaded by an evil spirit, at this moment, Reid was endowed with a mighty power by the great Master of the Pen. He erupted with rage, like a God of Flames descending, he gripped Wen Xishu’s throat, majestic flames pouring forth, but those flames were holy, they were luminous; they were the righteousness within Reid’s heart.

The evil spirit attempted to invade Reid as well, Reid’s expression twisted, black marks appeared around his neck, but it was all in vain.

Under the influence of this immense holy flame, the evil spirit finally couldn’t withstand, exhaled as a wisp of black smoke from Wen Xishu’s mouth, as if a priest exorcising someone possessed by an evil spirit with absolute solemnity.

The painting is named Trust, which signifies that throughout this process, Wen Xishu never resisted, he always maintained trust in Reid, believing that Reid could assist him.”

A pen stroke.

In that instant, a pitch-black shadow from the blackboard shot towards Wen Xishu like an arrow.

Wen Xishu was startled, instinctively wanting to dodge, but quickly realized he didn’t need to.

This is the fulfillment.

The moment the writing was complete, the content he wrote down would become a reality.

At this moment, Reid also saw an evil spirit, hovering over Wen Xishu.

[Your partner is very adept at taking advantage, congratulations Reid, I will grant you a power you do not possess; from now on, your flames not only burn with tangible flame but also carry a holy flame capable of repelling spiritual attacks. Ah, I don’t wish to do so, but he indeed reasonably wrote these down with the pen, and it indeed aligns with the wish-granting rules, not beyond my capacity, nor conflicting with the means I’ve left behind.]

In Pen Town, the Master of the Pen is omnipotent.

The rules he sets, he must also abide by.

Wen Xishu had indeed thought before that Reid, in a rage form, with potent flames, destroyed all the monsters in Pen Town.

But writing it that way could very likely trigger some defense mechanism.

Much like how some authors patch at the beginning to prevent reports, so if I were the Master of the Pen, before granting pen authority to the exam taker, I would definitely patch the exam paper to prevent it from being too fanciful.

To not threaten the foundation of Pen Town.

This is also why Wen Xishu wrote conservatively.

At this moment, Wen Xishu’s throat was gripped by Reid, the evil spirit invasion gave rise to many negative emotions within Wen Xishu.

But soon, the warm flame gradually brought him clarity, the evil spirit, using his body, let out a shrill scream.

In the end, everything unfolded just as he described, with Reid driving away the evil spirit.

When the flames dissipated, Reid’s surrounding ”classmates” began to moan in pain, clearly, they also belonged to the ”evil spirits”.

Yet the teacher, a humanoid outline composed of a shadow of text, seemed indifferent to these.

Reid exclaimed in surprise:

”Wow, I’ve mastered a new ability! My flames can also exorcise! Bro, you’ve cleared the first painting, right?”

Wen Xishu nodded:

”Keep it up, Reid, try to take this ability out of Pen Town.”

Reid was ecstatic, if his flames indeed possessed such power to resist spiritual invasion, his position in Lion City would surely elevate another notch.

All of this was thanks to Wen Xishu. Reid increasingly felt that such a person shouldn’t be in Wind City, he should come to Lion City.
