Three Towers Game

Chapter 1309: Chapter 414: Deceit Tower, Ghost Tower (Part 2)

Wen Xishu said:

”Block the door.”

Sean’s eyes lit up:

”Yes, yes, block the door.”

There were plenty of pieces of furniture in the room, and blocking the door with them was entirely feasible.

Wen Xishu began to move the furniture, but just as he was about to touch it, a voice echoed in his mind.

”You’ve earned another point for your performance, so I’ll add a point for you. Meanwhile, the other side is already in an evil spirit crisis.

Unfortunately, stingy Pig the Third doesn’t like the layout of his home being changed. Known for being stingy in the town, he’ll become maniacal if anyone touches things in his house. Now, you must choose someone to block the door with their body.”

”Who should it be?”

Sean dropped to his knees, the chain clanging against the floor.

”Doomed... doomed... I’m dead.”

In Sean’s eyes, this was a guaranteed death sentence. He knew the weak were meant to be abandoned, so he began to appear frightened.

Reid also hadn’t anticipated that the adventure in this town would be so disgusting.

Isn’t this just the first level?

”The countdown is still at twenty-three hours. We must survive and earn enough points... It’s utterly impossible.”

Even Reid, who Leon had praised, was overwhelmed with a sense of helplessness.

This was a situation where personal ability was useless.

Here, combat power couldn’t solve the monsters. And they had to follow the rules, rules seemingly designed to kill them.

Now, they had to choose one of the three to sacrifice.

Reid looked at Sean.

In his view, Wen Xishu was valuable and on their side.

Wen Xishu said:

”I’ll block the door. Remember, don’t move; just stand still and wait. Try not to make any noise.”

Reid was shocked:

”Are you crazy? You can’t let emotions get the better of you in a moment like this, nor insist on your sense of justice... Do you understand what I mean?”

Sean lowered his head, hiding his facial expression.

Wen Xishu shook his head and said:

”Reid, I have a plan. Remember, keep quiet, don’t speak.”

Wen Xishu went to the doorway and made a shushing gesture.

He had made his choice.

He stood on the inside of the door, not moving an inch outside. But it was very tight—any further, and he’d cross the line.

Reid admired Wen Xishu greatly but also found it somewhat foolish.

Wen Xishu had his reasoning.

Though the rules claimed cheating was impossible, he was a cheater by nature, possessing Three Phases, he was already cheating.

Moreover, he had the Scorpion Knife.

The Scorpion Knife’s function this time was extremely powerful, not even weaker than the Mad Dice. Clearly, Scorpio was also interested in the secret hidden in Pen Town.

Death reset. Only one chance.

Once death was triggered, at the moment of dying, it would retreat to a point of erroneous choice.

In this textual adventure game, it was practically a cheat.

But with only one chance, Wen Xishu certainly wouldn’t use it lightly.

In the past, he had this kind of save/load bug ability, but he rarely used it, choosing to succeed in one go.

Add the forced leaving of the tower this time, you could say...

In a Pen Town that forbade cheating, Wen Xishu was a desecration of the game, like someone with ’I have a cheat’ written all over.

However, he wasn’t relying on these cards to have the confidence to be the one blocking the door.

”You made an interesting choice. How could anyone willingly sacrifice themselves? Here’s a chance to take it back; you all have a voting opportunity.”

”Hurry, hurry, they’re coming, quickly vote.”

”Please reselect.”

Sean, barely thinking he had dodged a bullet, now faced a recount and was truly on the verge of breakdown.

Yet Wen Xishu said:

”Reid, trust me, choose me, Sean, you too.”

Reid didn’t quite understand but ultimately trusted Wen Xishu’s confident manner. Sean was so grateful he nearly knelt in thanks.

”Alright, alright, it’s you again.”

”They’re coming.”

Pig the Third suddenly seemed disappointed:

”Snort, snort, snort, it’s not ’unknown,’ you’re really lucky.”

It suddenly said this, the massive pighead closing its eyes as if starting to sleep.

At this moment, Wen Xishu also held his breath, minimizing any sign of his ’living presence.’

The bell was ringing.

In the distance, a faint bell sound could be heard. There were also countless discordant ’thud, thud, thud’ sounds.

Wen Xishu was curious about what that was, but he didn’t glance over, maintaining his stance blocking the door, motionless.

Soon, the bell grew louder.

”Deceit Tower, Deceit Tower, Ghost Tower, Ghost Tower.”

”Hiding in the tower not daring to go, King Yan can’t find me.”

”Hell is not hell, heaven is not heaven. To find the Old Immortals, you must first pass through the Ghost Gate.”

A figure dressed head-to-toe in white funeral clothes, head full of chopsticks, shaking a bell, chanting strange rhymes, followed by hundreds of... leaping corpses.

Wen Xishu had seen these corpses before, dressed in ancient official attire with pale faces and fangs. These were zombies.

Hundreds of out-of-sync jumping zombies, driven by the bell, headed off into the depths of the night.

Wen Xishu held his breath, pretending not to see.

But soon, the white-clad bell-ringing creature suddenly hopped in front of Wen Xishu.
