Three Towers Game

The door opened.

But this was different from the last time. Last time, when the Water Ghost came in, it filled everyone with fear, but then it just sat in the corner.

As Li Wei held onto the slim hope that maybe this time his life wouldn’t be taken, just like Zhang Qiang’s, and that nothing would actually happen...

Wang Hai, after locking onto Li Wei, rushed at him like a madman.

His body was surrounded by ghost qi, a strange, faint gray mist.

Wang Hai had already turned into a ghost.

He said coldly:

”Earlier, when I was human, I worried I couldn’t deal with you, but I didn’t expect... I now have the power to kill you.”

Wang Hai’s expression became more and more hideous.

His skin started to rot, his body showed signs of cracking, yet he could still drag his body to move.

No one dared to approach Wang Hai like this.

No one attempted to save Li Wei either.

It’s clear which outcome is better, offending a ghost or a person.

Wang Hai finally caught Li Wei, and after pouncing on him, the two quickly engaged in a struggle.

Li Wei screamed hysterically:

”Help! Help!”

No one rescued him, the wronged soul in the bar emitted a mocking sound:

”Those people you set up are all inside him.”

Even the Water Ghost in the corner smiled, but that smile soon transferred to Xiaoya’s face, and Xiaoya let out a light ”heh.”

Old Zhou felt a chill down his spine, he guessed that Li Wei most likely wouldn’t survive.

There were still six people left in the room, but now three ghosts...

If Xiaoya also became a ghost next, wouldn’t that mean five people and four ghosts?

The number of humans and ghosts in the bar were almost equal. This place was too terrifying, he couldn’t help but want to escape.

But outside... ghosts ran rampant.

Wen Xishu knew, the tower could turn one’s inner faith into reality, things like gods and ghosts were manifestations of this power.

Ghost Festival, originally a meaningless holiday, now had tangible manifestations.

In many ghost stories, ghosts are terrifying.

But in many other ghost stories, ghosts are pitiful.

Their simple need is just one—revenge for grievances and enmities.

So at this moment, Wang Hai’s body... began to split. On the surface, it seemed like he had fallen from a tall building and shattered...

But in reality, it wasn’t so.

In reality, countless wronged souls were using Wang Hai’s body to exact their revenge.

”Give me back my life!”

”You liar!”

”I’ll tear you apart!”

”Do you remember the curse I gave before I died?”

A multitude of voices emanated from Wang Hai’s cracking body, his broken body transforming into many gaping mouthed evil spirits.

They began to madly tear at Li Wei.

Soon, Li Wei could no longer scream for help, because his throat was torn to shreds, and his body soon began to disintegrate.

His internal organs, limbs, head, all started to appear shattered, the stench filling the bar.

Li Wei was dead.

And all that broken flesh began to take on a phantom state as well.

From the original shattered form, they slowly started to reassemble into a whole.

Wang Hai’s outline once again emerged, he softly said:

”This beast is finally dead, thank you.”

This was meant for Wen Xishu, but at this moment Wang Hai had become so ethereal, he was barely visible.

Li Wei’s shattered and dismembered corpse quickly began to dissolve, as if some sort of cleaning mechanism existed in the bar.

Soon enough, the ghost was gone, and Li Wei was also gone.

Everything as if nothing had ever happened.

Old Zhou looked at the place where Li Wei’s body disappeared, unable to help but say:

”Truly... brutal... ugh...”

Old Zhou vomited again.

Xiaoya said:

”Why did that ghost disappear?”

Zhang Qiang and Ah Fei were equally puzzled by this.

The phonograph did not appear, indicating that the new rules had to be figured out by the players themselves.

Everyone involuntarily looked at Wen Xishu, even though Zhang Qiang was quite displeased with Wen Xishu, he nonetheless knew that figuring out rules is something this teacher excels at.

Wen Xishu did not disappoint them:

”When someone drinks the blue drink, and someone drinks the red drink, the visitor outside, whether human or ghost, will turn into a ghost.”

”I’ve already summarized this before. Now for further supplements.”

”Everyone, first was Zhang Qiang, and then Xiaoya and Li Wei, it seems these ghosts are all related to our past.”

”I think we are not aimlessly trapped in this bar, we all have sins.”

”Li Wei has already atoned, because Li Wei’s crimes, as well as Xiaoya’s crimes at the time, I was aware of them.”

”This can be considered my special ability.”

”In short, Li Wei and Xiaoya have something in common, it’s their past being exposed.”

”Either confess to the ghost or let the ghost seek redress. Thus, the ghosts associated with Xiaoya and Li Wei have disappeared.”

”Let me boldly speculate here—”

”When our misdeeds become known to others, only then can the ghost target revenge.”

”The ghost will only disappear after exacting its revenge, otherwise... it will stay in the corner like the Water Ghost, seeking someone else who refused to let it in to replace them.”

”In other words, if Zhang Qiang doesn’t confess his past deeds, namely the crimes committed on the dock... or if we don’t unearth his secrets—”

”Then the Water Ghost will remain here forever and then seek Xiaoya as a replacement... no, perhaps not a replacement, but assimilation, turning Xiaoya into a ghost, possibly using Xiaoya to reveal the truth in this process.”
