Three Towers Game

Facing the knocking, Wen Xishu, as the backbone, quickly came to the door.

He blocked everyone behind him.

”Everyone knows each other now, next, I’ll explain our situation, you’d better figure it out.”

”No matter who any of you were, or what you’ve done before... In short, you’ve ended up here.”

”It’s the Ghost Festival now, there are ghosts everywhere outside, if we let a ghost in, we’ll all die.”

”So, don’t be nervous, don’t panic, let’s solve the problem according to the rules.”

Wen Xishu’s calmness affected everyone around him.

Dr. Chen Ming couldn’t help but take a closer look at Wen Xishu, seemingly surprised at how... composed this guy was.

The knocking resounded again.

At this moment, the phonograph suddenly said:

”Start asking questions. You have three minutes to make a judgment. Meanwhile—I’ve prepared the bar’s most interesting cocktails for you.”

”Red liquid, if you believe it’s a ghost outside; blue liquid, if you think it’s a human.”

”Of course, there’s also purple liquid, representing abstention.”

”Drinking the corresponding liquid represents making the corresponding choice.”

The phonograph began to introduce the rules.

Wen Xishu thought to himself, I’m all too familiar with this scenario. Something announcing the rules, with a monster waiting outside to kill me.

This familiar rhythm made him somewhat excited.

Of course, the experience at Deceit Tower wouldn’t be so straightforward. Ghosts are scary, but the people inside might be even scarier.

Unlike other places, this bar doesn’t have a peephole, you can’t see outside, so Wen Xishu had to ask:

”Who are you?”

”Please, let me in quickly... there are so many strange things outside, I saw a woman in a red dress! Her hair was down, her face was covered in blood! Oh my God! She’s coming towards me, she’s coming! Save me, save me!”

The man’s voice outside was hysterical, filled with a sense of despair.

Zhang Qiang said coldly:

”Although as a police officer, I shouldn’t let someone die without helping... but if it’s truly a ghost as he says, the red-dressed ghost has already approached him. If we open the door... wouldn’t the ghost come in as well?”

”I don’t agree to open the door.”

Zhang Qiang spoke as he directly drank the red liquid without a second thought. He downed it in one gulp, and after drinking, Zhang Qiang’s pupils became oddly red.

It took a while for them to slowly return to normal.

Chen Ming said:

”Sorry, I don’t agree either. Mr. Zhang is right, we shouldn’t take this risk.”

Unlike Zhang Qiang, Dr. Chen Ming was not enthusiastic about drinking... he observed for a long time, even sniffed for a while, and thought about his medical knowledge in his mind before he finally drank.

His pupils also turned a strange shade of red, and he looked a bit more sinister.

After that, not just these two, but Merchant Li Wei, Shut-in Ah Fei, and Priest Old Zhou also chose to drink the red liquid.

Xiaoya was quite hesitant.

”Help me... she’s really coming! Please! Let me in! Ahhhhh—”

”No! No! Go away! Don’t come near me!”

The man’s voice outside was nothing short of heart-wrenching.

Xiaoya couldn’t help but say:

”Let... let him in, don’t... he’s truly pitiful...”

Zhang Qiang and Li Wei both cursed:

”Idiot.”

In a world in chaos, the saint must be killed first, the two both came to this realization.

Zhang Qiang’s waist was bulging, as if he had a gun, and his face looked fierce. Just a glare was enough to scare Xiaoya into silence.

Wen Xishu said:

”Xiaoya, right? You’re a nurse, you’re kind-hearted, that’s great, but right now, Officer Zhang Qiang isn’t wrong, the red-dressed ghost is quite a resentful ghost, isn’t she?”

Xiaoya was absolutely terrified, but finally she said:

”I’m just afraid that we’re leaving someone to die without helping...”

Zhang Qiang said disdainfully:

”Girl, leaving someone to die is better than us dying; can you tell if outside is human or ghost?”

Xiaoya eventually nodded, she took a sip of the red liquid, didn’t finish it, but made a choice, her pupils also briefly turned red.

Wen Xishu also drank the red liquid.

In an instant, he saw a bizarre scene; he saw his parents burned to death, standing in the sea of fire, their faces gruesome and deformed by the flames, looking at him with venomous eyes.

”So, drinking the liquid makes you see the people you’ve killed in the past?”

”Is it possible that everyone here has killed someone?”

Considering the Aquarius’s style, and considering the possibility of an all-villain scenario, Wen Xishu had this hypothesis flash through his mind.

Old Zhou, Li Wei, Ah Fei, Xiaoya, Zhang Qiang, Chen Ming, Wen Xishu, all seven of them drank the liquid, they made their judgment.

Xiaoya initially wanted to abstain, but ultimately, she conformed and drank the red liquid.

The phonograph played again, with the operatic singing of ”I... want to forget you...”

Then, it concluded:

”Voting ends, unanimous vote for ghost, congratulations, the person outside is dead. As long as you all decide he’s a ghost, then whether human or ghost, he’s dead.”

”But I’m sorry to tell you all— you killed a good man.”

As the phonograph finished speaking, the man outside screamed:

”I... won’t forgive you! You people who leave others to die! As a ghost, I won’t let you go!”

His voice was filled with resentment.

No one knew what happened, no one knew what the man outside was going through.

But everyone clearly understood...

He died with boundless hatred, and today is the Ghost Festival, after turning into a ghost... he probably won’t return to the place ghosts should go, but will stay in the human world.
