Three Towers Game

But at this moment, upon arriving at the Desire Tower, the Scorpio Knife suddenly became active again.

[Bonfire function forcibly activated. Consumed five Tower Power Points.]

????

When this prompt appeared, Wen Xishu was full of question marks.

At this time, Wen Xishu was hiding in a storage room aboard the Ark, which seemed to be filled with various cleaning supplies.

Wen Xishu’s identity at this time was that of a janitor in a certain area of the Ark.

Of course, he didn’t have the time to analyze the pros and cons of this identity and the information it brought.

He only wanted to figure out why the Scorpio Knife deducted five points of his Tower Power Value for no reason.

In the Deceit Tower, in order to defeat strong enemies, he had already consumed a lot of Tower Power Points, and now, Wen Xishu only had fifteen points left.

He fell into a bout of firepower deficiency panic again.

But soon, he understood what bonfire meant.

The Scorpio Knife ignited.

Wen Xishu was so startled that he trembled, throwing the Scorpio Knife away.

But soon, the warm firelight illuminated the dark room, and Wen Xishu immediately felt a peace of mind.

It was like... facing the bonfire in the Slaughter Tower.

Then, something strange happened.

A child in a blue suit appeared beside Wen Xishu, whose appearance was unaccounted for.

”Brother, it’s really cold here. Don’t you think consuming a few Tower Power Points to get such a warm bonfire is worth it?”

Damn it.

Scorpio!

Wen Xishu immediately had an impulse to stand up and enter a defensive posture.

But soon, he calmed down.

”So, I consumed a full five Tower Power Points...because I could summon you?”

Scorpio nodded:

”Isn’t it worth it? This is your strongest summon. However, this knife will temporarily lose a round of ability the next time you climb the tower. Everything has a price. I suggest, brother, next time you climb the tower, aim for an easier level.”

”Sometimes you just want to enjoy a little.”

Wen Xishu didn’t speak.

”The bonfire cannot summon me for too long, after all, I am quite special. Brother, your luck isn’t very good. With your current abilities, how dare you climb such a level?”

”You know, your attributes are severely mismatched with the current level. Doing this kind of thing too often...”

”The Three Towers will remember you and will give you hidden scores.”

Other people might not understand, but Wen Xishu could.

Hidden scores.

It is a special algorithm known among players, just like if someone had a particularly high win rate in the competitive ladder last season...

Then in the next season, after everything restarts, the system will try to select tougher opponents.

Those with high hidden scores always encounter the most difficult and bizarre levels in various games.

”I’ll pay attention next time,” Wen Xishu said.

It seems the ”Three Highs” really shouldn’t be used often.

Scorpio nodded:

”At the higher levels, you actually need multiple attributes. Brother, while some of your attributes, like problem-solving ideas, are fully up to standard, your basic attributes are severely lacking.”

”In this case, provoking my siblings... isn’t that just courting death?”

Despite saying that, Scorpio suddenly smiled like a mischievous child:

”But you have me. With me around, there’s always a way out for you.”

Wen Xishu realized that this guy was targeting Pisces.

”Can you help me solve this trouble?”

Scorpio shook his head:

”No, I can’t. Time is one of those things. This round is a challenge you have to tackle by yourself.”

”However, there are two things that cannot be determined in Pisces’ prophecy of time.”

”The first is our unfortunate zodiac signs.”

”The second is people from the Evil Land.”

As Scorpio said this, he looked at Wen Xishu:

”Brother, are you the second one?”

Wen Xishu just frowned:

”Nonsense, what Evil Land.”

Scorpio stared at Wen Xishu’s eyes for a while, then helplessly said:

”Alright, whatever, anyway, from now on, brother, whatever you do, you will be an absolute variable outside of the timeline.”

”Brother, you know about saving abilities, right?”

Wen Xishu nodded.

Scorpio said:

”Actually, it’s hard to say whether saving is a form of time reversal. Pisces has always been wary of my ability because she feels it originates from the same source as hers.”

”Hehe, but I only have this one move. Whereas she can play with time in myriad ways. She can even use time to create a labyrinth, imprisoning someone forever on the same day.”

Wen Xishu asked:

”What exactly is your point in telling me all this?”

Scorpio said:

”I will grant you the ability to save, limited to this round, brother. Although you aren’t directly confronting Pisces this time—”

”But you will destroy a key pawn of Pisces, and without this pawn, or letting go of this pawn, Pisces will be severely weakened.”

”Pisces is my sister; she likes to use time to show what she will look like in the future. Even though she seems more mature, actually, she’s younger than me.”

”I’m helping you, brother, to ensure you thwart her plans.”

Scorpio became very serious.

Wen Xishu said:

”If I have items from other zodiac signs... could I summon them too?”

Scorpio shook his head:

”Of course not, brother, you are the one I carefully selected after a long search. There are two reasons for my appearance this time.”

”The first and most important reason is, I don’t want you to die.”
