Three Towers Game

If I don’t return to the Desire Tower, everything will be over.

Having just survived the encirclement of the Law Enforcers, and not long ago, the battle with the Evil Sea Giant Beast.

Wen Xishu thought that when the blue sun rose, everything should come to an end.

Such a powerful being as the captain should be dealt with by Sirius, who has awakened free will.

Next, he could go back.

In fact, Wen Xishu could indeed do so.

He could choose not to activate the invitation, he could patiently wait for the game to end.

Just by awakening Sirius... he might even receive a reward with a completion level of five or even six.

This was after all more than sixty levels, which was already quite impressive.

But now, looking at Horn, Wen Xishu felt a bit unwilling, yet also somewhat fearful.

Of course, he knew he wouldn’t have to face Pisces directly.

But the captain, the super-powerful Ability User, the time turbulence, the Time Traveler...

These people, at his current state, could he really defeat them?

But if he did nothing, in twelve hours, everything would be over, right?

Both Wen Xishu and Horn noticed one thing—

The invitation had a countdown mechanism. If the twelve-hour countdown ended and Wen Xishu still hadn’t activated the invitation...

Then the invitation would disappear.

In other words, that hidden timeline—after twelve hours, would be discovered by the Time Traveler, and everything Wen Xishu did in the Deceit Tower would be erased.

Horn accepted his fate:

”Wen Xishu, actually, when Renault was strangling me, I was thinking... I might die here.”

”But I didn’t expect to survive. The Desire Tower is too dangerous. Wen Xishu, you should go back.”

Wen Xishu was taken aback.

Horn sighed:

”Your life is more valuable than mine. Now... I’m just the ’old man’ who can be sacrificed.”

These words sent a shiver down Wen Xishu’s spine.

When the Ark needed to sacrifice the old man, the old man was sacrificed.

Now, it’s Horn and Sirius’s turn to play such old men.

”You don’t yet have the ability to defeat someone who can see future variables. Pisces... seems stronger than Sirius, right?”

”Sirius lost, even though you’ve made it here and found the true main line, the next challenge is too hard for you as you are now.”

”Your value is higher than anyone on the Ark, so... go back.”

”Maybe one day, when you become stronger, you can help us.”

”It’s a pity, I really want to remember our encounter, but I’m afraid it will all be corrected.”

”But... I’ll tell you one of my secrets, as long as you can say this secret, even if one day in the future you meet the past me again, and tell me you’re a Transmigrator, I will believe in your existence.”

Horn knew that the future himself—which was the current himself, without Wen Xishu’s help, without Sirius’s help, after the timeline was corrected, would not escape death.

He could only hope that Wen Xishu would meet his past self.

This was a last request, an entrustment.

Looking at Horn, Wen Xishu had complex emotions rising in his heart.

How strong must this person’s inner strength be? When he sacrifices others, he is not swayed by emotion, but even when sacrificing himself, he remains so calm?

Instinct told Wen Xishu that this challenge was too hard and should be avoided.

But for the first time, Wen Xishu longed to change this matter.

He reopened the invitation, and Horn said:

”Don’t do anything foolish.”

Wen Xishu said:

”No... it’s not like that, Horn. This isn’t my first time reaching the sixtieth level, although last time I had a senior helping me.”

”But the difficulty last time was hard in Deceit Tower, yet not so hard in Desire Tower...”

”I was thinking, how can the difficulty be so vastly different even at the same level of over sixty?”

Horn understood:

”You suspect there’s omitted information?”

Wen Xishu looked again at the words on the invitation.

”As Sirius’s will awakens at a certain moment in the future, he uses his own strength to start negotiating with the past Pisces...”

Wen Xishu read this passage aloud.

He had to admit that he was intimidated by Pisces’s Time Traveler, to the point that he neglected this crucial sentence when reviewing the question.

”We indeed saved Sirius, the future Sirius began fighting against the past Pisces.”

”Doesn’t this imply that if I return to the Desire Tower, I won’t be alone... but will receive the help of future Sirius, and even the future you, which is just you right now?”

Horn was puzzled:

”But for Desire Tower, none of this has happened, how could I possibly know about the future events?”

Wen Xishu said:

”It’s Sirius, we never really understood Sirius’s abilities, only knowing that he could create worlds with strange rules.”

”These worlds are related to his psyche, but they can also exist in reality... who knows, this might be his breakthrough point.”

Sirius couldn’t defeat Pisces, but what if he leveraged the Three Towers mechanism, or the Bunker People?

Most importantly, what he was facing wasn’t Pisces, just Pisces’s subordinates.

”The difficulty of the sixtieth level is very high, but not insurmountable... maybe this time in the Desire Tower, it would actually be like the Deceit Tower, where I could use the rules to defeat the rules!”

Horn got it, indeed, for Wen Xishu, this time the Deceit Tower seemed like the Desire Tower, so perhaps the Desire Tower would be more like the Deceit Tower.

And since the question clearly stated that the future Sirius began a game with the past Pisces...

Then Wen Xishu was a variable, an existence outside the playing board.

If he could overcome his inner fears, perhaps he could truly change the situation.

”Have you... have you thought it through? Are you really going?” Horn actually felt that he could be the sacrificial pawn.

Wen Xishu said:

”I can’t leave a sense of fear for any constellation... Otherwise, I would just become more afraid to face it in the future, I’ve challenged so many constellations’ scenarios, there’s no reason to fear Pisces.”

”Everything I’ve done was to get this invitation, and I understood from the invitation that Pisces can erase all I’ve done, I can’t give her this opportunity.”

”Horn, I would be regretful if the future had no people like you.”

The invitation began to take effect, and Wen Xishu’s figure vanished, commencing his journey in the Desire Tower.

Horn sat in his wheelchair, contemplating Wen Xishu’s final words, eventually smiling.

”Then, see you in the past.”
