The Versatile Master Artist

The likelihood of anyone making connections is very low, and Reporter William still didn’t want to appear too close to the Elena family in the public eye.

”Is that African female painter worth such effort from you?”

The LCD screen partition between the back and front seats of the GLS600 slowly lowered, and the female secretary turned her head from the seat in front, asking with a complex expression.

Just now, Miss Ilina didn’t ask Eliot to get out of the car to wait outside, so all the conversation between him and Reporter William fell into her ears.

Eliot didn’t understand the secret story between Anna and Detective Cat, but she could still hear that Miss Ilina was trying her best to promote the other party.

The female secretary felt indignant and thought Anna was really not worth it.

This damn Detective Cat had already caused enough trouble for Miss Ilina. If it weren’t for that video, Sir Brown might not have had the opportunity to make so much fuss.

”Are you referring to the conversation with the reporter just now? It’s okay, each serves their own needs, and maintaining a good personal friendship with certain reporters is no bad thing. Before my aunt was alive, she also had two or three friends in the press.”

Anna explained with a light laugh, ”As for Detective Cat, after that shareholder meeting, you haven’t realized it yet, Eliot? Helping her now is helping myself.”

”Moreover, Detective Cat’s work is also worth me doing these things for her.”

As Elina spoke, she took a pen out of the armrest box of the car seat, opened the title page of ”Little Prince” in her hand, and wrote in elegant English letters.

”A noble artwork cannot be narrated by critics; it speaks for itself. A noble soul cannot be constrained by the mundane world; she seeks freedom herself.”

Anna signed with the name [Mr. Tree Sloth] and took out her phone to contact her dedicated assistant at Meiquan Palace Office.

”Help me send something to Lady Detective Cat.”

”Meow?”

A round-headed, round-nosed tabby cat twitched her ears and lazily tried to find a more comfortable position to lie on the ground.

Biologically, feline animals are generally categorized as nocturnal creatures; resting during the day and foraging at night.

But the truth is, domestic pet cats don’t have very fixed schedules.

They sleep all day long and are active all day long. Usually, after sleeping for 65 to 78 minutes, they get up and move around for 26 to 35 minutes.

If unaffected by external conditions, they maintain a repetitive cycle of sleeping—active—sleeping—active.

Tabby cat Ah Wang was already well rested.

She didn’t want to stay still here obediently; sparrows were chirping in the yard, and dragonflies were catching little gnats low along the Yangon River not too far away.

Ah Wang was a predatory creature with wild instincts.

At this time of day, she was either scaring sparrows or catching dragonflies.

Otherwise, jumping up and giving the cheeky neighbor who liked to touch her tail a slap to the face was quite amusing.

But today.

Ah Wang had no choice but to continue lying here quietly like a statue.

Even though she couldn’t go out to play and her energy had nowhere to release, making her a bit restless, she still decided to keep waiting.

Just because—

A hand lightly petted her hind legs, skillfully scratching a bit.

”Meow! Meow!”

Ah Wang’s pupils instantly dilated, her tail twitching uncontrollably.

Yes,

That’s right!

It’s this feeling!

It’s this FEEL!

That human hand accurately rubbed through the neural cavities between her hipbone, femur, and tibia, like a highly skilled Thai massage.

The soul of the entire cat seemed to be drawn out by this hand.

Heavenly!

Simply heavenly.

Heavenly enough that Ah Wang couldn’t stop meowing, as if her entire cat life was meant for this moment.

”Good Ah Wang, just wait a little longer and I’ll take you out to play. I’m almost done with the sketch; just a few more minutes as my model.”

Gu Weijing scratched a couple of times, then withdrew his hand from the tabby cat that Elder Wu kept, and picked up the sketching pencil again.
