The Quest for Immortality

Before the ”generation and suppression” occurs, Taotie’s Power is inherently complete, relatively intact.

Mo Hua naturally cannot discern the essence of this power.

To discern its essence, one must apply another Power of Laws to engage in generation and suppression with Taotie’s Power, forming a ”contradiction.”

And once Taotie’s Power encounters external obstruction, contradictions arise internally, exposing its essence.

This moment is the best time to ”analyze” the Taotie Law.

Not only the Taotie Law, but everything in the world follows the same principle.

Cultivators, when everything goes smoothly, appear ”flawless,” but it is only when they face failures and hardships, feeling pain and torment, that their inner weaknesses and various fundamental contradictions are revealed.

These ”contradictions” determine a person’s essence.

Whether one can overcome contradictions also determines the cultivator’s capability and future path on the Dao.

Aside from individuals, tribes are the same way.

If a tribe is developing and expanding smoothly, it appears naturally strong, without any issues.

But once development is blocked, facing strong enemies, encountering various disasters, internal problems are exposed.

Conflicts between various classes also become sharp.

Wulu Tribe’s Wusha was once loyal because he could lead troops to conquer, constantly expanding territory.

But later, when the conquests were hindered, with no battles to fight, Wusha’s inner ambition began to swell, his desire for power deepened, exposing his nature, and ultimately he brought about his own destruction.

Though the Wulu Tribe still exists now, Wusha’s Wulu Tribe is already dead.

On a broader scale, cultivators, Great Wilderness Tribes, families under Taoist Court, sects, various forces, and even the entire Taoist Court and Nine State world, more or less follow the same pattern.

Everything and everyone adheres to this ”law.”

And it is precisely because of this all-encompassing nature, encompassing all things and all laws, perhaps it forms a model of ”great unity.”

Mo Hua felt something.

He then continued according to his own ideas, using this similar ”great unity model” concept for his research on ”laws.”

Using formation to generate laws, creating law oppositions, allowing the power of thick soil and Taotie’s Power to engage in generation and suppression.

Generation and suppression mean mutual killing, mutual infiltration, mutual transformation.

During generation and suppression, fierce changes in laws also occur within Taotie’s Power.

At such moments, he went on to analyze the internal logic and essence of Taotie’s Power, which symbolizes ”famine disaster.”

Of course, this is simple to say, but extremely difficult to execute.

Because this process simultaneously involves many layers of law changes.

It involves mutual deconstruction and reconstruction of formation and laws.

It includes law generation and suppression, infiltration and transformation.

It also involves the analysis of internal contradictions of another law.

Mo Hua, ”a newborn calf unafraid of tigers,” didn’t think much about it, nor did he adhere to any rigid rules of inherited knowledge.

Anyway, these laws, tangled with each other, presented a state of ”mutual generation and interconnection,” so he simply studied and comprehended them together.

Follow his heart, see what it is, comprehend whatever it becomes.

Single-mindedly pursue the Dao, genuine without pretense, that would be sufficient.

Though the cost was a more intense consumption of divine sense.

Comprehending the laws also became more challenging.

Mo Hua’s Sea of Consciousness eternally spins, continually thinks, endlessly comprehends.

What he did every day was continuously recompose ultimate formations of thick soil to counter famine, to observe law generation and suppression, to analyze Taotie’s Power.

Endlessly mechanical repetition.

Seemingly tedious, seems exhausting, appears painful.

Yet Mo Hua seemed to have opened the door to a new world and thoroughly enjoyed it.

To others, he was just drawing formation on wasteland, and that’s it.

But apart from Mo Hua himself, hardly anyone knew the stunningly profound changes he saw beneath the monotonous formations and the spread of famine.

What law mysteries could he have comprehended that are beyond ordinary understanding?

This is the great chasm between worldly appearances and essence.

Mo Hua also felt a more tangible sense of passing through the appearances of things, masterfully grasping the essence of myriad laws.

Although this feeling was still as faint as fireflies.

To deepen this comprehension, Mo Hua kept using the ”simple method.”

He tirelessly decomposed and recomposed formations over and over.

Again and again, he observed law generation and suppression, analyzed Taotie’s Power.

Enlightenment really is quite simple.

Find one correct thing, then keep repeating, keep repeating, keep repeating it...

As long as repeat enough times, the behavior of deconstructing and reconstructing controllable formations and laws, law generation and suppression, law analysis, continues for thousands upon thousands of times.

There would come a day when one’s comprehension of laws proceeds as naturally as breathing.

One’s mastery and application of laws also become as simple as eating and drinking.

Even the most profound and obscure laws can be understood in an instant.

Do the ”hard” tasks, make the ”hard” tasks easy, and one naturally becomes powerful.

In a sense, this is also the transformation of a ”difficulty-ease” law.

And during continuous deconstruction, reconstruction, and comprehension...

Mo Hua was thoroughly immersed in it, enjoying it tirelessly, and sometimes would forget everything, neglecting the passage of time, getting lost in the ”ocean” of formation principles, laws, and even the Great Dao, unable to extricate himself.

Not knowing who he was, not knowing where he was, or what he had to do.

He only kept drawing formations, observing formations, researching laws repeatedly...
