The Quest for Immortality

In the barren wilderness, where vegetation was withering, the first Formation that fused with Law, the Thick Earth Compound Ultimate Formation, was drawn onto the vast earth by Mo Hua using Divine Sense Control Ink.

This is a very peculiar Formation.

Ordinary Formation Masters under traditional frameworks can barely comprehend what kind of system this Formation belongs to.

Even an insightful Formation Master, aware of its mixing with Ultimate Formation and certain similar Formations of the Five Elements and Eight Trigrams, could hardly discern the underlying principle of such a Compound Formation.

Nor could they fathom the changes within the Formation principle, intricately devised by Mo Hua to transmit Law through Formation Patterns, which only Mo Hua himself could truly understand.

This is a dual structure.

The constructions of the surface Formation Patterns, Formation Pivot, and Formation eye are already difficult to understand.

Even more challenging is the operation of Law beneath the surface.

Law is intangible, elusive, and even if others want to learn or copy, it is indescribable.

This Formation differs from the Formation School of the Taoist Court and the Holy Pattern inherited from the Great Wilderness; it is a Formation System created by Mo Hua himself.

It is a ”transformation” of his traditional understanding of Formations after years of learning, drawing Formations, contemplating, and comprehending.

And this ”Thick Earth Compound Ultimate Formation” meets Mo Hua’s expectations.

The Formation starts to flow, intertwining green and earthy spiritual power.

This is visibly discernible.

Whereas invisibly, in Mo Hua’s gold-hued Divine eyes, various Powers of Laws concerning ”life” were constantly revealing themselves.

Through the Formation designed by Mo Hua as a bridge, these Laws flow slowly along predefined paths, diverging and merging at fixed nodes, thus complying with Mo Hua’s will to create various mysterious changes.

This is using Formations to guide Laws.

In some sense, it is also manipulating Laws.

Using the Thick Earth Ultimate Formation, with its core composed of Earth Dao Meaning.

Arranging the various Powers of Laws concerning the growth of vegetation, the nourishment of earth and wood, the occurrence of earth and wood, and the decomposition by burial, around the Earth Dao Meaning, distinct yet harmonious.

Ultimately, in this ”forge” of the Thick Earth Compound Ultimate Formation, they merge into a vast and potent Vitality Law.

A thriving aura spreads from the Thick Earth Compound Ultimate Formation.

The withered aura of famine, upon contact with this vitality, still boils intensely, dissipates, and emits white smoke as before.

But this time, the famine aura does not devour the vitality power.

The two contend against each other, even on a small scale, with the famine aura being restrained by Mo Hua’s Formation.

This means Mo Hua’s concept has taken effect.

He has initially grasped a means to suppress famine.

It also means, for the first time in his life, he has truly understood and mastered the original logic of Formation Dao where formation births Laws, and Laws birth corrections.

Not far away, guarding Mo Hua with full vigilance, Bachuan sees before Mo Hua a very complex Holy Pattern, glowing with the hues of greenwood.

Under the illumination of this Holy Pattern, the continuously decaying earth ceases to wither, even showing slight signs of regaining vitality.

Within mere moments, some vegetation in the crevices of the ground starts to sprout anew...

Bachuan cannot comprehend it at all, but is greatly astounded.

”Is the Shaman trying to figure out... how to combat the unyielding heavenly calamities of the Great Wilderness?”

”Is the Shaman attempting to... save the Great Wilderness from the water and fire of famine?”

Bachuan’s eyes widen.

In that instant, he trembles with reverence for the Shaman’s overwhelming aura as if looking up to insurmountable mountains, beyond words.

...

Meanwhile, Mo Hua continues studying with unwavering focus.

This is just the beginning.

Now he has gained a deeper understanding of the relationship between ”formation” and ”law,” and has practically built a ”Thick Earth Compound Ultimate Formation” as a medium to guide earth’s vitality law to combat the power of famine.

However, the reconstruction and derivation of formation and law is only the first step.

His second step is to observe the ”resistance” of this law.

Thick Earth power represents ”life.”

Famine power, in some sense, is also the Taotie’s Power, and represents ”death.”

Applying Thick Earth power to Taotie’s Power, blocking each other and in the same realm, they oppose each other, fight, and perish against each other.

In this fighting and perishing arises the transformation of laws.

”Death” kills ”life,” thus transforming ”life” into death.

And ”life” saves ”death,” thus transforming ”death” into life.

Life and death are distinct yet precisely interdependent, penetrative, transformative, and ultimately unified.

This is a highly profound ”law change” that is also akin to a ”law model.”

Not limited to life and death.

Mo Hua instinctively judges that countless laws in this world likely adhere to this principle, penetrating and transforming between ”birth and restraint,” forming a whole.

One could even say this is the basic model of ”Dao.”

But this evolution involving Dao is far more difficult.

Currently, Mo Hua cannot thoroughly deliberate on it.

Yet, this does not hinder him from utilizing this basic model of ”Dao” to study law changes.

Although its principles are not understood, it can be simply used first.

This is also his current primary purpose and his third step plan:

To use the ”birth and restraint” of laws to ”analyze” the aura of famine, essentially studying Taotie’s Power.

For Mo Hua, this principle is not difficult to comprehend.
