The Quest for Immortality

”Devour everything between heaven and earth, let all living beings return to Chaos...”

The moment this thought emerged.

An intense hunger, ravenous to the point of madness, instantly filled Mo Hua’s heart, inciting a tearing ”hunger,” a desire to consume everything, whether human, demon, ghost, God... all of it...

”Not good!”

Mo Hua’s heart was filled with fear.

The laws of Taotie were assimilating him; no, to be precise, they were ”polluting” him, ”devouring” him...

He immediately closed his eyes, his Divine Sense returning to the Sea of Consciousness, cutting off all distractions and shielding all interferences.

The feeling of hunger persisted; although Mo Hua was clearly full, he was still driven by this sensation, desiring to eat something.

Anything would do.

Even the flesh of living beings made Mo Hua’s mouth water.

Mo Hua could only strive to meditate, remaining stoic and guarding his heart.

To allow the mind to transcend the flesh.

Mind in command, the body is merely the puppet of one’s mind.

In this way, all distracting thoughts, greedy desires, submerged in murkiness, become the illusionary floating clouds, merely an empty reflection of the heart, not based in reality.

This was the spell point of Taoist Heart that Mo Hua developed over the years by devouring evil spirits and purifying evil thoughts through meditation.

This also integrated part of the Heavenly Demon Path of Supreme Emotionlessness.

Supreme Emotionlessness can sever emotions and also sever evil thoughts.

Beneath the resilient foundation of the Taoist Heart, the Power of Laws of Taotie gradually faded, and the feeling of hunger slowly dissolved.

After a moment, when Mo Hua engaged in Inner Vision, he discovered his heart was like stagnant water, free from desire and thought, then he slowly opened his eyes.

His expression was extremely grave.

”Taotie... too terrifying...”

He hadn’t even seen it with his own eyes, merely through these ancient Formation Patterns drawn by someone unknown, he gained insight into the Law, glimpsing a scene of Taotie’s birth, which nearly devoured him with its extreme hunger...

Even though this feeling of hunger had subsided, thinking back now, Mo Hua still felt a lingering fear.

This is a type of ”hunger” capable of devouring all reason and extinguishing all conscience.

”Hunger...”

Mo Hua furrowed his brows, his heart skipped a beat as inspiration struck:

”The famine in the Great Wilderness... could it be connected to ’Taotie’?”

Mo Hua recalled the vicious scene that emerged in his mind earlier, musing silently:

”On the land of the Great Wilderness, famine spread far and wide, the dead piled high, extreme hunger accumulated, resentment ascending to the heavens, distorting the Law, hence birthing a terrifying Law Beast in the world... Taotie?”

This beast born in the catastrophe, imbued with the Power of Laws, itself signifies ”disaster.”

”Then... how did the Taotie Pattern come into being?”

Mo Hua focused his thoughts, more images appeared before him.

Corpses between heaven and earth, flesh vaporized, skin clinging to bones, dying upon the earth, under the influence of resentment, resembled black ”Formation Patterns,” merging into the Laws of Heaven and Earth, pooling together to form the ultimate Law Beast Taotie...

This scene seemed as if...

”Taotie... was the fierce beast generated by Formation?”

Mo Hua was startled, contemplated for a moment, then shook his head.

On the surface, it indeed seemed so.

The aura of Taotie was too strong, shrouded in viciousness, concealing its features, with the floating black air forming ferocious lines, creating Taotie Pattern.

This makes Taotie itself resemble a ”Formation Beast.”

But to say this isn’t precise.

It should be...

Mo Hua furrowed his brow, analyzing the scenes he’d witnessed, using mental energy to speculate and summarize, finally understanding slightly:

”Taotie is a fierce beast hatched and ultimately born in extreme conditions from the unknown mutation and reaction of countless starving ’corpses’ in heaven and earth, as it integrates with the ’Law’ for a long time as Formation media.”

The Formation Patterns, or Taotie Patterns, are the abstract and then manifested path of the ”Law.”

Formation Patterns in essence are the external manifestation of the Law.

The Law nurtured Taotie, not the Formation Patterns created this fierce beast.

Taotie is not a ”Formation Beast,” but a ”Law Beast” filled with the Power of Laws.

Then...

Mo Hua furrowed his brow.

The ”Law” on Taotie refers to what specifically?

Is it ”Hunger”?

Or ”Devour”?

How should it be interpreted?

Due to the famine, many fell into intense ”hunger.”

They all wanted to ”eat,” yet the world was barren, nothing to eat.

Ultimately, everyone perished in severe hunger, before death their strongest obsession must be to ”eat.”

Not just humans, countless starving beings clung to this obsession.

This obsession is too powerful, twisted—more accurately, ”polluted” and ”altered” a certain Law of Heaven and Earth, hence birthing Taotie.

But the core of this Law, is it truly ”Hunger,” or ”Devour”?

Could there be more profound meanings?

How should one comprehend? What to do with understanding?

How can this understanding align with the application of Taotie Pattern and ultimately Taotie Formation?

How to transform Law into Formation?

Or how to use Formation to verify Law?

Mo Hua’s brows furrowed tightly into a ”” character.

This ”Taotie Formation” is absolutely the oldest and most complex, also the most difficult and fierce Ultimate Formation he has encountered to date.

Much more elusive than the prior Reversed Spirit, Thick Earth, Spirit Pivot, and Five Elements Source Formation.

Moreover, it’s the most ”complete” set of laws pertaining to heaven and earth, humanity, and catastrophe.
