The Martial Unity

Chapter 3718: The Destruction of the Kandrian Empire

”It’s over.”

Very rarely was Emperor Rael’s voice one of pure despair.

Yet this time, not even the slightest shred of hope could be detected within the depths of his voice.

His appearance was wearier than it had ever been in its entire life.

His eyes were bloodshot with exhaustion.

Dark bags hung underneath his eyes.

His golden hair was disheveled and dull.

His breathing was unsteady.

Opposite him, the projection of an equally grave Prime Minister Edward flickered.

RUMBLE...

Tremors passed through the secure underground chamber that hid the Emperor of Harmony. Prime Minister Edward could barely bring himself to utter a word of encouragement.

”...The nations have agreed to send their final remaining Martial Sages reserved for personal protection.”

”It doesn’t matter.” Emperor Rael’s listless eyes were devoid of light. ”...A dozen or so Martial Sages are not going to make a difference. Hope has abandoned us when we needed it the most.”

His eyes darkened.

”My son has abandoned us.”

His tone was drowned in despair. ”He abandoned us when we needed him the most, and we will be the ones to pay the price for it. The Kandrian Empire will likely... cease to exist.”

RUMBLE...

A wave of tremors washed over the underground chamber, causing some shelves and objects to tilt over and fall.

It didn’t elicit a single reaction from the Emperor of Harmony.

Prime Minister Edward’s eyes closed in a moment of grim acceptance. ”I... will never forget you, my archenemy and... my friend.”

Just the briefest of smiles cracked at the edge of Emperor Rael’s mouth.

”It has been... purposeful, while it lasted. But now...”

His golden eyes gazed east.

”But now, reckoning comes for us all.”

Thousands of kilometers away on the east coast of the continent, the relentless charge of sieges halted.

WHOOSH...

The giant body of Sentinel Prime descended upon the world.

It descended upon East Panama.

It descended upon the Kandrian Empire.

Martial Artists were frozen.

As were the beasts and monsters summoned to protect it.

They were frozen in fear.

In terror.

And in awe.

Sentinel Prime hung above them like a god of power.

His body hummed with an unfathomable raw power that no Martial Artist had ever displayed.

An unfathomable raw power that no Martial Artist could ever display.

It didn’t matter how efficient they were.

It didn’t matter how much control they had.

With a paltry limit of the energy naturally present within their raw bodies, they could never ever hope to match the power of hundreds and thousands of tons of antimatter waiting to be converted into pure energy.

”Do you understand?”

Sentinel Prime’s deep, masculine voice contrasted sharply with the feminine tone of voice with which it was spoken.

”You are inferior.”

His words, or hers rather, bore deeply upon the Martial Artists who began to despair.

”You will always be inferior to us.”

The light his body released cut through the darkness of the night.

His shining cybernetic eyes sharpened.

”You should have stayed hidden in that manifold for all of eternity.”

RUMBLE!!!!!

The world shook violently as the hazy silhouette in the distance grew clear.

It grew larger.

RUMBLE!!!!!!

A tremendous surge of water from the Great Nam Ocean emerged, stretching hundreds of meters high as the tsunami negation and absorption systems of the Kandrian Empire got rid of them.

They were composed of elven and Kandrian technology, leveraging the power of cutting-edge biotechnology and esoteric technology to produce a powerful protection against tsunamis.

And yet, against the power of the Suneater, such measures were meaningless.

RUMBLE!!!!!!

The world shook as the Suneater drew closer and closer to the Kandrian Empire, his partially submerged body emerging from the depths of the Great Nam Ocean.

And then, he arrived.

He arrived, bringing with him a colossal tsunami that stretched kilometers in height.

A wave of water that was nothing short of pure destruction.

One that washed over the Kandrian Empire.

The darkness of the night came alive as the wave consumed the very skies, and charged towards the Kandrian Empire with an unstoppable momentum!

RUMBLE!!!!!!!

”ARRRRGGHHHHH!!!”

”HELP! HEEEELPPPPPP!!!”

”RUN!!! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!

The tsunami negation and absorption systems of the coast of the Kandrian Empire churned as they were pushed to their very limit.

They failed.

They failed as the wave of water crashed into the Kandrian Empire.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

In the blink of an eye, the standing defensive line protecting the Kandrian Empire was wiped out.

Beasts and monsters, mighty as they were, couldn’t stop the water from overflowing their regiments and battalions. Martial Artists were even more helpless in the face of a pure force of nature.

”HEEEEELLPPPPP!!!”

”I CAN’T STOP IT!!!”

”It’s... It’s too strong!”

The wave of water instantly washed over the port city deep beyond the coastal defense lines.

In the blink of an eye, it destroyed the entire city.

Every building.

Every street.

Ever carriage.

Every structure built by man.

All of it was flattened.

Reduced to rubble.

If not for the fact that almost the entirety of East Kandria had been long evacuated and pumped into secure underground shelters, the death toll would have already risen to seven figures.

RUMBLE!!!!!

The powerful tsunami swept deeper and deeper into East Kandria, routing entire forests as it made its way through, crushing trees and killing all the biodiversity that occupied it.

A vast amount of fish, crabs, and other marine life forms were washed up on East Kandria, flapping about as the supply of water diminished. Even as the floods of water from the Great Nam Ocean permeated deeper and deeper into the country at a slower and slower pace, the two top-ten powerhouses loomed over the Kandrian Empire like apocalypses.

”Cough... cough!” Max spluttered water as he gasped for air, barely managing to extricate himself from the absurdly destructive tsunami.

Mana gazed at the two powerhouses with pure horror in her eyes.

”Let this serve as a lesson to the entirety of the true world.” Sentinel Prime raised his hand as a ball of plasma emerged in it, growing in power at an alarming rate. ”Let this serve as a lesson for all civilizations in this world.”

The world held its breath as it watched.

All of Gaian civilization watched with expressions of horror or elation as Sentinel Prime charged an attack with enough power to vaporize the entirety of the subcontinent.

”Behold the destruction of the Kandrian Empire.”

RUMBLE!!!!!

The attack shook the world as it consumed the Kandrian Empire.
