The Martial Unity

Chapter 3707: Compromised Odds

RUMBLE!

A wave of turbulence swept over the two Panamic war fleets as two war fleets emerged from below the horizon in the distance, drowned in the darkness of the night.

Matriarch Nephi narrowed her eyes. ”Here they come.”

RUMBLE!

The surface of the ocean shook as powerful, icy cold winds blew across the war fleets. The sense of peril that hung in the air only grew more electric as the Martial Artists prepared for battle.

The pathwalkers on both sides prepared for dispatch, eager to fight against their enemies. Yet, while the Martial Artists did it out of necessity, the pathwalkers on the other side were gleeful.

[Commence the attack.]

”Attack the evil tekvores!”

BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!

The forces on both sides unleashed a large number of siege attacks against each other with their mobile long-range heavy artillery. Laser beams and heavy projectiles flew across the ocean as they struck the defensive lines mounted by pathwalkers and the shield systems of the enemy warships.

Simultaneously, the gap between both war fleets continuously reduced as both sides continued charging towards each other as if they intended to crash into each other.

BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!

RUMBLE!!!

The conflict heated up with each passing minute as the distance between the two sides continued to reduce bit by bit. As they finally reached each other, they swerved to the side, avoiding a head-on collision before deploying their pathwalkers, surging against the other side as if they were explosives to be launched against each other.

From the Greater Tekvoria war fleets emerged many tekvore pathwalkers, but also many sentinels, and beasts from the Continent of Kiriket.

As well as a single MECHA.

From the Panamic war fleets emerged only Martial Artists, who charged against the forces of the true world with all their might, eager to prove their valor against their enemies.

BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!!!

The countless Martial Artists that emerged in battle unleashed a maelstrom of destruction against their enemies as the battlefields stratified in accordance to rank and Realm. Martial Sages couldn’t fight anywhere near Martial Artists of the Lower Realms, it would be simply too destructive. The same could be said for tekvores and sentinels of different ranks.

The Martial Artists of the Lower Realms gritted their teeth and fought for dear life when they found themselves facing not just the tekvores, who they expected to fight, but also allies-turned-enemies.

The sentinels were truly terrifying to fight against. Each of them was individually even more powerful than tekvores, who were more powerful than Martial Artists individually. If not for the fact that they were fewer, they would have been able to utterly wipe out the Martial Artists.

The Martial Artists had already come up with tried-and-tested battle tactics against their tekvore enemies. Each tekvore was about three times as powerful as a Martial Artists on average. Their power sources were simply much greater than those of the Martial Artists, who focused on tapping into innate potential and efficiency.

This meant that it took three Martial Artists to fight back against one tekvore. It wasn’t a pleasant admission, but it was viable because there were three times as many Martial Artists as tekvores. On top of that, the tekvores had to pay the price for their power in the form of a tremendous amount of industrial energy drain and high infrastructural requirements compared to Martial Artists, who just needed two to three meals a day.

Regardless, on the battlefield, the Martial Artists formed cells comprising three Martial Artists at three different ranges: close quarters, mid-range, and long range. This was the optimal combination that allowed Martial Artists to effectively pool the power of three Martial Artists to fight and even defeat tekvores using this tactic.

Unfortunately, while the surplus of Martial Apprentices, Squires, and Seniors that had flooded human civilization in recent years was immense, the same was not true for Martial Sages, necessarily.

It was much more difficult for Panamic Martial Sages to muster three different Martial Sages for each ascended tekvore.

BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!!!

”Rgh!” Kane gritted his teeth as a titanic barrage of attacks that caused violent tsunamis to emerge from the ocean managed to inflict tangential damage to him through the ensuing shockwaves.

His green eyes sharpened as his gaze focused on the dark ascended tekvore with a body composed of a strange meta-material that could generate extraordinary amounts of sound.

He recognized the tekvore immediately.

Auditron was one of the weaker tekvores among the ascended in the first place, but despite being one of the weaker ones, his power greatly exceeded that of Kane. The dark male tekvore turned his arm towards Kane, charging a powerful sound attack, only to be caught off-guard by powerful long-range homing attacks to his side.

BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!

”I got your back, Kane!” Sage Ceeran unleashed many blasts and attacks against the tekvore, distracting him. ”Let’s take him down together! We don’t have the luxury of numbers to get another one on our side.”

Kane gritted his teeth as he prepared his daggers, his green eyes sharply focusing on the enemy tekvore. Wide-scale attacks were generally not something evasive maneuverers like himself were good at evading, but the consolation was that wide-scale attacks tended to be more diluted in power.

Except that tekvores had so much raw power that they could not be dealt with that easily. Unfortunately, Kane didn’t have much of a choice but to grit his teeth and charge forward with a blinding speed, weaving through the sound pulses his enemy launched at him while defending himself from Sage Ceeran’s attacks.

BOOOOOM!!!

The two Martial Sages were hardly the only ones on the battlefield to experience highly unfortunate and lopsided battles. Many other Martial Sages found themselves at a disadvantage.

After all, they had been stretched to the limit even before this offensive, and the only reason that they were able to mount any defense was that they had tapped into their off-shift reserves, which meant that once they were done, the Kandrian Empire would be deprived of all protectors.

”That’s why we have to win!” Kane charged towards Auditron with a sharp ferocity as his daggers turned into arcs.

SPLAT SPLAT SPLAT!

He managed to pierce the exterior layer of his enemy, inflicting significant damage.
