The Golem Mage

Chapter 542 542: Troubles Finally Arriving.

Nightfall had finally arrived, inducing a sense of nervous anticipation within every member of the War God Academy team as the second round of the inter-academy competition approached.

In their respective rooms, most of the team focused diligently on cultivating since Alec kept providing them cultivation pills, Selene had been curious about the source of these pills and had considered asking Alec about it on multiple occasions.

However, in order to avoid putting him in an awkward position, she refrained from doing so, initially, the team members were hesitant to continue collecting the pills, fully aware of their significant value.

Yet, over time, they grew accustomed to the arrangement, in fact, they shamelessly competed for the pills, as Alec constantly found ways to secure additional sets for them.

Having heeded Alecʼs advice to allow the residual energy from the pills to dissipate, they temporarily stopped consuming them in order to exhaust the remaining energy within their bodies.

Thankfully, a few individuals had made progress thanks to the high-energy training system room in the Grand Arena.

As they moved into the Grand Arena, the combination of the environment and the efficiency of the pills provided them with a platform for substantial advancements, even if they did not immediately break through to the next realm.

However, not everyone focused solely on diligent cultivation to reach the next realm, some members were dedicated to consolidating their current realm and mastering their skills, among those who were not in their rooms were Alec, Lucas, Brandon, and Arthur.

At that moment, all four of them found themselves in the training room of their quarters, Lucas had entered as usual to engage in his regular sword training, only to be surprised by the presence of two additional individuals in the room with Alec, typically, it was mainly the two of them who utilized the training room late at night.

Lucas had always believed in the importance of honing his skills and saw Alec as someone who might be more focused on constant cultivation.

However, he was taken aback when he consistently found Alec in the training room after they arrived at the inn, this revelation completely changed Lucasʼ perspective of Alec.

Little did he know that Alec was not naturally inclined towards extensive training, Alec, in fact, preferred spending his time in his room developing new golems whenever he could, trying to picture the next combination of his world and this world.

However, ever since acquiring the Bloody Changdao and becoming a Blood Reaper, Alecʼs daily activities had forced him to prioritize honing his sword skills.

On this particular day, both Brandon and Arthur approached Alec, requesting to train together just like they used to, and this was the reason Lucas found them in the training room.

With the two of them facing Alec, Lucas noticed that even with their combined efforts, they couldnʼt manage to put much pressure on him.

Intrigued, Lucas asked if he could join in, and to his surprise, Alec welcomed the idea, shocking Lucas as he didnʼt expect Alec to agree, Alec realized that not only were Brandon and Arthur improving through their duels, but by facing them, he was also enhancing his own skills and spells, pushing the experience bar limits of his mental energy and combat abilities.

The training room reverberated with the sound of their clashes as they relentlessly exchanged strikes.

Alec found himself occasionally pushed back, but with a smirk on his face, as he absorbed each attack, he could feel himself growing alongside the three individuals sparring with him.

Just as they were sparing Alec stopped and an attack from Brandon had hit him sending him frying backwards as he turned mid air and positioned his legs on the wall nearby and on his face was a perplex look

” What is the problem? ” Arthur asked as he knew the attack that had hit Alec was one of the weakest attack unleashed at him, as it was actually meant to be a feint , the fact it hit showed that Alec was not concentrating

” Someone is hear! ” Alec mentioned

” you mean another member of the team is about to join us , that mean someone feels they hit the cap of cultivating again ” Arthur said but Alec shook his head

” what Iʼm feeling is more than one Mana frequency and they definitely do not belong to someone from our team, and there is definitely no way more than one team would come see us in our quarters of the Grand Arena this late at night, ”

Alec said as he came down , without even wasting time Alec summoned legion

” Start a wide area scam immediately, and tell me the situation of things ”Alec commanded as he started to unsheate his Changdao from its scabbard

All this while he had been sparing with it inside its scabbard , but if what was happening was what he suspected then he would want to handle it with a bladed part than a cover blade

” Iʼm afraid that you have been surrounded!” Legion said as the countenance of rest of them in the room changed in that instant

” How many peopleʼs signal can you pick ?”Alec asked another question as he started walking to the exit of the training room with Lucas, Arthur and Brandon following behind

”There are about 12 mages of higher realm than me, but I highly doubt that is the exact number of enemies waiting for you, itʼs clear they might just be skilled at hiding their aura, even with these twelve, I was only able to pinpoint them because they got closer, and a group is about to open the door,” Legion relayed to Alec and the others, their tension growing as they awaited the doorʼs opening.

Finally, someone arrived, but they were masked, accompanied by only two other mages.

As Alec and his allies observed them, they realized that the newcomers were also assessing them.

Once the figure in the middle finished scrutinizing Alecʼs group, he took out a pearly object from his pocket and spoke into it.

”There are no signs of Pale, but I have located Alec Gordon with three other individuals, how should I proceed with this situation? What should I do with the rest of the mages with him?” the mage at the middle inquired into the pearl ball, Alec remained motionless, intentionally refraining from taking him down, as he wanted to hear the voice of the one who had sent them.

”The others are of no importance, just knock out Alec and capture him, the second team will take care of Pale, move quickly, and if the other kids cause trouble, eliminate them too!” a voice emanated from the pearl, sending a sense of smugness to the figure in the middle, as he confidently stepped forward after receiving the message.

Alec, analyzing the situation, realized that the voice and their interest in Pale did not align with the Blaze Clan, as he had waited trying to confirm if it was the Blaze Clan doing, he had interacted with enough members of the Blaze Clan to perceive that they would never hide behind masks for such deeds, they preferred the attention that showing their faces brought.

With this newfound understanding, Alec maintained his composure, fully aware of the imminent danger.

”You heard my master, I donʼt want to hurt you kids, now, as long as you get...” The mageʼs words were cut short as his head was decapitated swiftly by Alec, sending it flying through the air.

In the blink of an eye, Alec cleaned the blood off the Changdaoʼs scabbard and slid it back in place with precision.

The scabbard pulsated with energy, having absorbed the spilled blood.

”Stop wasting my time, you fools. I have other matters to attend to,” Alec said, assuming a stance and extending his hand in a boxing position.
