The Golem Mage

Chapter 501 501: Beginning (1).

It was already morning, and Selene was waiting for the entire team to come down, as they needed to arrive at the competitionʼs first-round site on time.

She had spent the entire night concealing the outbreak of mana fluctuations that some of the mages in the team had released when they broke through, although such an event was stressful, but a small smile graced her weary and tired face as the number of those who had broken through truly surprised her.

Initially, she had believed that only Brandon would have been able to break through to become a Mid-rank Mage, but she still felt If things had been more fortunate, it would have been only two mages who would have broken through to the mid ranks , but it turned out that three mages had made it to the mid ranks—specifically Brandon, Katie, and Arthur.

Just when she thought things would have stopped there, it had gone further.

Due to the fact that they had all cultivated using Cultivation Pills of the highest quality, it had cleansed them of all their impurities, allowing them to go through their second awakening on the spot.

The energy they had been releasing was enough to indicate that their gains had not been insignificant, even Lucas, Pale, Endrick and Beatrice were able to solidify their realms properly, purging any impurities that their bodies had gathered.

Leading to Lucas entering the High Tier 4 Mage Realm, just like Alec, while Beatrice stepped into the Mid Tier 4 realm.

Pale and Endrick were the only ones who did not break through to a full realm, and it wasnʼt because they were less talented, but rather because they had been in the Tier 4 realm for the shortest time.

However, the pill had not only cleansed their impurities but also pushed them to the very peak of the low Tier 4 Mage Realm, this would make it easier for them to break through to the next small realm when they were finally ready to make that move.

Meanwhile, Endrick experienced a second awakening, when he initially entered the Tier 4 Mage Realm, he had not been able to generate enough energy to undergo a second awakening.

However, after using the cultivation pill and cleansing his impurities, he was able to achieve it, which was a significant accomplishment for him.

On the other hand, Pale came close to a second awakening but ultimately failed.

It appeared that his body still contained a significant amount of impurities, and one pill would not be sufficient to cleanse it all, this was because Pale had relied heavily on raw power stones and low-quality pills he received from Luna to boost his cultivation level to Tier 4 in order to keep up with Lucas, who was outpacing him.

Now, he was facing the consequences as his foundation was unstable, and he knew he needed the cultivation pills; otherwise, he would be stuck in the Tier 4 Mage Realm indefinitely.

But with Alecʼs recent gift to him, he was confident that he would be able to at least elevate his realm to the High Tier 4 Mage Realm before encountering any further difficulties.

He was determined to take one step at a time to overcome his cultivation mistakes, regardless of how long it would take.

As for the others, such as Agnes, Knight, and Sophie, they were now at the very peak of Tier 3, with just one flimsy barrier preventing them from entering the Mid ranks.

Selene had been able to observe all of this using her mental energy while they were cultivating, so she would be able to intervene if any of them encountered cultivation problems.

Fortunately, everything went well for all of them, however, what surprised her was the fact that Alec had only spent about three hours reading the spells scrolls he had with him before going to sleep.

This puzzled her, as she had expected him to at least attempt to cultivate, especially considering the upcoming competition, yet, Alec had done none of that; he simply went to sleep.

”Good morning!” Alec greeted Selene as he came down from the stairs , awakening her from her thoughts, and she noticed that the whole team was already ready to go as they all came down at the same time.

”Letʼs be on our way then,” Selene mentioned as they walked out of the inn.

The Inter-Academy competition was supposed to be hosted at the capitalʼs arena, but the first rounds had been decided to take place at the Royal Mage Academy, the second rounds at the capital arena, and the final round at the Royal Palace after the king of the Northern Kingdom interfered with it.

At this moment, the front gate of the Royal Mage Academy was already filled with mages from different prestigious academies who would be participating in the competition.

Selene and the War God Mage Academy team had finally arrived, and this time when Alec looked at the Royal Academyʼs gate, he was not as dazed as before, in fact, he felt an urge to cause enough trouble for the Royal Mage Academy team if he came across them.

Due to the fact that last time he had been there, he had been treated unfairly, although he knew it was enemy ground, but he was unconcerned as he knew any attack against participating students was heavily frowned upon due to the laws of the competition.

So Alec and the rest of his team waited in line as the mage teams were being inspected with their competition talismans.

After waiting for about thirty minutes in line, it was finally their turn to be inspected, however, just as they were about to be inspected at the gates by the guard, another mage team brushed past them and tried to enter before them by jumping the line.

Someone from the other team stretched out his hand and passed his competition talisman at the same time as Alec.

Alec furrowed his brows as he turned to look at the person who had tried to do that, beside him stood a mage emitting a High Tier 5 aura, with white hair cut short, behind him were other mages of his team, but one thing they had in common was that all of them had a Tier 5 Mage aura.

Although the majority of them were Low Tier 5 Mages, Alec quickly realized that they were attempting to intimidate him and his team, the leader of the opposing team stared directly back at Alec and sneered.

”Well, well, well, look who we have here, Itʼs the strongest Major from the War God Mage Academy, tell me, what exactly does your academy think theyʼre doing by sending a bunch of weak Tier 4 and Tier 3 Mages to the inter-academy competition?, Are you all just here to fill in the numbers?” A woman who bore an uncanny resemblance to Selene stepped forward from the back, aligning herself with the rest of her mage team.

”Selena, I see you were the one who was chosen to represent as Iʼm not around, tell me how is the Battle Mage Academy faring?” Selene inquired, as both team finally realized that their respective coordinators were, in fact, twin sisters.
