The First Store System

Chapter 1097: Familiar Faces!

Jerine looked at the card in his hands with surprise written all over his face. It was the first legendary quality beast he received in eight rounds of summoning.

On the top half of the card was an illustration of the beast.

As its name suggested, it was a mutated creature from the race of possums. The possums only had the element of metal, but the Mutated Possum had an additional element of poison under its control.

Its appearance was similar to other possums with a slight distinction. The Mutated Possumʼs fur was slightly golden, and it shimmered in the sunlight, while its pair of eyes were deep purple, just like the poisoning sign on a skin.

Jerine felt some doubts about buying it once he saw its cost, but its characteristic [Mutation Aura] made up for the price.

Mutation could be both harmful and favorable, but if kept under control, it was a great feature to have. What made Jerine confident was that the [Mutation Aura] worked for both plants and animals.

”Store owner, I want this!” Jerine requested Aakesh, pushing the card toward him.

Aakesh nodded, took the card, completed the process of tapping twice, and returned the card to Jerine.

As soon as he grabbed the card, Jerine found himself in unfamiliar surroundings.

Even though Jerine fought with the possum for hours, when he returned to the store, no time had passed.

Time flew by, and hours passed in a flash.

When the store was around one hour away from the sunset, a door appeared in mid-air inside the storeʼs hall, and soon after the door opened, Lily stepped out of it.

Aakesh was in conversation with a customer at that time, so he smiled once and then returned to the new customer, ignoring his look of shock at the scene.

After stepping down the stairs, Lily jumped on Aakeshʼs head, waiting for the store to close, and until then, she fell asleep in her most comfortable place.

The sunset finally arrived, and with it, the store closed its door, bringing an end to another fruitful day for the store.

”Letʼs go!” Aakesh called out, and the next moment, both he and Lily disappeared from the store, appearing in the selection area.

Lily still looked as disgruntled as ever when the space crack sucked her inside. Aakesh also repeated the same process, and soon after, a portal-like space crack also sucked him.

Time was like a river that continued to flow. Seconds turned into a minute, minutes turned into an hour, hours turned into a day, and just like that, a few days passed in the blink of an eye.

”Store owner, I want this,” Rounic requested, pushing the page toward Aakesh.

Aakesh only took a casual glance at the page, and the next moment, all the details about it appeared in his head.

”You need to pay seven hundred seventy-seven higher Sacred stone,” Aakesh stated the price of the cultivation art.

Rounic nodded as the automatic alert asking him about the payment rang in his head.

Rounic was a peak Divine Being who was about to step into the Divine Lord level. Regarding the cultivation art he used, Rounic found a better, improved version in the store, so he decided to buy the higher-grade art from the store when he reached the limit of his cultivation.

”> Now that he had reached his limit, he did what he had decided. Even though it cost him a lot, there was no sadness about that on his face. What was on his face was only excitement for him being able to cultivate using the better version of higher-grade cultivation art.

”The art is yours now,” Aakesh informed as the alert of successful payment rang in his ears.

The next moment, light particles began to gather together, and soon after, they formed a virtual book. It materialized into reality and flew into Rounicʼs hands after that.

The one percent preview cost that was deducted from the total amount was the same-day offer.

If customers chose the preview cost but didnʼt buy the cultivation art the same day, they would have to pay the total price and forget what they read in the art. They would only remember the content after purchasing the same art.

The same happened with Rounic, as the memory of that day flooded his mind after he opened the book. After finding the exact content he had seen that day, he thanked the store owner and left the store to cultivate immediately.

Aakesh didnʼt care what Rounic was feeling as he focused on the automatic, emotionless alerts bombarding his head.

[Ding!]

[Host, congratulations on the sale of the cultivation arts, fulfilling the requirement of the third sequence quest!]

[The ”Mission reward: Ten purer, higher Sacred stones” has been transferred to the system space.]

[Host, please see the quest window for your new quest.]

The next moment, a blue window containing the details of the new quest appeared in front of him.

[Mission Sequence: Fourth

Mission objective: Sell cultivation arts,

Requirement: After the sale from Rounic, the store has fulfilled the requirements set by the system. Itʼs not the time to celebrate, but itʼs only the beginning. Work even more diligently to make more and more customers interested in the product

Sale: 25,000

Time limit: 3600 days

Mission reward: King level cultivation arts,

Failure punishment: Sales commission will get reduced to 0% for the cultivation arts for hundred years for the product.]

Aakesh focused on the screen in front of him and read the fourth cultivation art questʼs details. He skimmed past the upper section and then looked at the requirement and the time limit.

The requirement had grown by a hundred times, while the time limit had only grown by ten. Aakesh didnʼt worry about it since ten years was a lot for the store to achieve in terms of wealthy customers.

Aakesh waved his hands, and the next moment, the quest screen slowly faded into the disappearance, waiting for him to call it back.

Aakesh then closed his eyes and returned to another of his relaxation sessions.

Tap! Tap! Tap!

Not a long time had passed when he heard the sound of footsteps coming from outside the store.

Aakesh opened his eyes and turned in that direction. The next moment, familiar faces greeted his sight.
