The First Store System

Chapter 754: Passing of Time(5)

Kuriati had blank eyes as he traveled around the desert, only to die in the end.

While mindlessly traveling, Kuriati came across a Level 11 Desert Worm. The power difference between them was like heaven and earth, so even in less time than the blink of an eye, Kuriati lost his life and became food for the Desert Worm.

Kuriati felt no pain as the Desert Worm crunched on him and only the memories of Toran engulfed his mind. As Kuriati lost consciousness, he sensed himself embracing Toran, but the feeling soon vanished as the light returned around him.

The next moment, Kuriati’s memory bombarded his head.

“Damn it!” Kuriati couldn’t help but curse in frustration as he found himself losing the chance to gain territory in Panagea.

As for Toran, she became a part of his memory since the mental fortitude of the actual Kuriati was several times greater than the Kuriati in the world.

Not long after Kuriati appeared on the platform, the platform saw another return. The man was one of the favorites to win since the man was the first to rush to the fourth world.

The man’s name was Lieber, and he was one of the regular customers of the store for the past several decades.

Lieber belonged to the race of Chaos Lion, a group of beast races, and one of the overlords of that group.

Chaos Lion was a race that was spread across all three dimensions. Their name wasn’t always Chaos Lion. Earlier, they were Primal Lions.

But countless years ago, a Primordial Chaos Lion’s incarnation descended to the Primal dimension to meet the Deva sleeping in Kashi. At that time, the Chaos Lion had found some semblance of its bloodline in the Primal Lions. It was low that only he could sense it out of all the Chaos Lions in existence at that time. So from that day, they began to call themselves Chaos Lion.

The Primordial Chaos Lion didn’t mind, as its race only had three members in total, so it welcomed them with open paws. At the same time, he also offered them a drop of his blood, strengthening further the bloodline of the leader of the Primal Lions at that time.

After that transfer, the strength of the Chaos Lions grew exponentially, and they became one of the overlords of the beast races in the Primal dimension.

Lieber was a direct descendant of the leader of the Primal Lions at that time, so his bloodline was several times greater than other Chaos Lions of his generation.

Lieber became the customer of the store after that event on the now-disappeared Mysterious Peak. Lieber was also one of the survivors, and after returning alive, he became the leader of the Chaos Lions in the Primal dimensions.

Lieber was not only the first to reach the peak-level world, but he was also the only one in the group of participants to evolve to a late Level 11 lifeform in the contest.

Lieber’s plan was going well, and he had twelve Level 11 lifeforms under his umbrella, but just one mistake from his underlings and all the efforts he had made over these more than one hundred and eighty years turned to nothing.

Lieber wasn’t even able to find whether the mistake was truly a mistake or a scheme. Before he could, the leader of the organization acted himself and killed him.

The organization’s leader was the mightiest creature in the world. He was also the one who created the organization. After reaching peak Level 11, everyone could create a faction of their own, and also get the chance to challenge the leader to gain his chair.

All the eleven faction leaders had challenged the leader, but none of them were even able to injure the man, let alone defeat him. The defeat was so overwhelming for the faction leaders that none of them dared to challenge the leader again despite the passing of billions of years.

‘ARGHHHHHH!’ Lieber screamed in his heart to clear the frustration of losing after so much effort.

Lieber could only scream in frustration and do nothing, while the other participants continued their struggle with only a single goal of conquering the world.

Time continued flowing the same way it did, and in the blink of an eye, thirty more years had passed for the attendees and the participants.

At the start of the contest, the number of participants entering the world was over two hundred million, and now after the passing of two centuries, the number of participants still fighting dropped to less than ten million.

The contestants, who had failed, were standing on the platform and watching the progress of the other participants.

Lenna was one of the participants that had lost due to her fortune going against her at the wrong time. Her other family members were still present inside the competition, so she was watching over their progress.

Elasha, her grandmother, was currently in the fourth world. Her power level had reached a late Level 11, while her plans seemed to be in motion. Lenna believed that Elasha would succeed in creating her faction in the organization. As for whether she would conquer the world or not, Lenna didn’t have much confidence.

Lenna’s mother was also in the fourth world, while her progress was slower since she was currently only an early Level 11 lifeform. Lenna’s father was also doing good as he was at the peak of intermediate Level 11.

While Lenna was watching her family’s struggles randomly, a grey world in the tower’s fourth level began glowing as the participant appeared on the platform.

“NO!”

“NO!”

“NO!”

Many screams rang in the attendee section as the participant died and failed to conquer the world.

Stuart also heard the unwilling screams of attendees, but he only smiled. Stuart was also one of the regular customers of the store, and he was the reason behind the attendees screaming.

Those attendees were following his work in the tower, and the reason for their scream was Stuart’s failure at the last juncture.

Stuart had become the first of the participant to reach peak Level 11, and his faction also became the strongest. Despite that, he lost in the end to the leader of the organization.
