The First Store System

Chapter 752: Passing of Time(3)

Seconds turned into a minute, minutes turned into an hour, hours turned into a day, days turned into a week, weeks turned into a month, months turned into a year, and just like that around one hundred and fifteen years had passed.

^))”> (A/N: Sorry for the long paragraph (^^))

While more than a century had passed in the store, only around an hour had passed in the world outside it.

These more than a hundred years were more than the lifespan of creatures of several races, and even many attendees seated in the store. But time seemed to have no effect on them as they stayed the same.

Aakesh had thought that fifty years were enough for some of the talented people to conquer all four worlds. But the truth was different. Aakesh overestimated.

Since the participants inside the worlds were starting from zero and learning everything new from the beginning without the help of their genius predecessors, it took time for them to grow in power.

Despite that, there were still those who were able to reach the fourth world in these hundred years.

Out of the more than two hundred million participants, only seven beings were able to reach the fourth world.

Around twenty million people were in the third-level world. The second level world contained around sixty million of them, while the remaining more than a hundred million were still in the first world.

The deaths weren’t very high since only around a few million participants had died and got ousted from the world before they could conquer the world.

One of the unfortunate deaths was Lenna, who succeeded in reaching the third world and even reached the eighth level. But her fortune took a turn for the worst time possible as out of nowhere a late Level nine creature emerged and destroyed a Kingdom. Lenna became an unfortunate casualty in the attack.

Lenna could only curse her luck after appearing on the platform since Aakesh had already told her that the rules in the world would act the same way as they did in the Primal dimension.

The number of attendees had also grown in the store. Their number had long ago crossed the mark of ten billion.

The inflow to the store had slowed down, but it was still continuing. Every second, several people entered the store.

Many latecomers showed their interest in entering the competition. Unfortunately for them, Aakesh refused. If Aakesh had accepted their requests, the number of participants would have exceeded the three hundred million mark.

Since he had already made the rules, he wasn’t going to change them.

Since there were more than ten billion attendees, there were bound to be favorites in the contest.

The seven people currently fighting in the fourth world had the most number of watchers, as each of them at least had more than five hundred million people watching their journey at the same time.

Jonathan was one of the seven participants who had entered the fourth world. It had been around two months since he ascended.

His power level was currently early Level 10. Since he had only entered the world, Jonathan had plans to take action only when he had complete chances of victory.

Unlike the three worlds, the fourth world only had one organization that controlled the entire world.

It made Jonathan’s way of conquering easy as well as more challenging than ever. Easy since he would only need to win over one organization, and he would become the conqueror of the world.

At the same time, it was more challenging than ever since having only one organization controlling the entire world showed how much strength the organization had. Jonathan had read that the world was in existence for more than a trillion years, and the current organization had been in power for as long as people could remember.

After reaching Level 10, people gained a lifespan of a hundred million years, while reaching Level 11 made people live for ten billion years, and peak Level 11 could live up to a trillion years.

Jonathan could only imagine the amount of power the organization had accumulated in those countless years.

Since things were such, Jonathan decided to join the organization. It would be easier to conquer if done by an insider.

Who would have thought while in his journey toward one of the bases of the organization, Jonathan would come across a rat tide?

The rat tide was Level 10, meaning Level 10 rats were in control of it. At the same time, the number of the rats reached an incalculable amount.

Since Jonathan was also an early Level 10 when the rat tide sensed him, they began attacking him crazily.

“Whoosh!

“Whoosh!”

“Whoosh!”

Sounds of arrows tearing through the air rang as Jonathan shot one arrow after another at the rat tide, attempting to devour him.

Jonathan had a cruel expression on his face as the battle brought out the ferocious side he had hidden in his heart.

To become a conqueror of worlds, people needed both cruelty and calm.

Cruel, since only vicious people could kill countless people to achieve their goal.

In the rat tide, the majority of the rats varied between Level 1 to Level 5.

These levels were akin to even weaker than ants for Jonathan, so no matter how many came, he felt no pressure.

In only a few minutes, Jonathan had killed more than half of the rats in the tide.

The Level 10 rat, leading the tide, couldn’t maintain its calm anymore, so it ordered all the more than ten thousand Level nine rats under its control to attack the opponent.

As Levels grew, the power gap between each sub-level also increased. How could a peak Level nine even compare to an early Level 10?

The power difference between them was akin to the difference between an ordinary mortal and Level nine since it wasn’t only an increase of sub-level, but it was also an evolution of lifeform.

In the end, only Jonathan and the Level 10 rat, leading the tide, remained alive in the battle.

A cruel battle then began between Jonathan and the rat. Jonathan finally emerged as the winner by shooting a barrage of arrows and turning the rat into a porcupine, with not even one vital organ left untouched.
