The Devil Does Not Need to Be Defeated

Chapter 384: “Unseal (Heresu)!”

“—!”

At this moment, Shien felt as if he was being stared at by an incredibly terrifying being.

Those amethyst eyes opened amidst the explosions of light and immediately fixed on Shien, sending a chill down his spine.

Because those eyes held no light, no emotion, only an endless darkness.

Being stared at by those eyes was like being stared at by countless compound eyes, making one’s hair stand on end.

Airi had once said that even just meeting Lilith’s gaze would instantly drive one mad, turning them into an evil being.

Now, Shien finally understood what that felt like.

Looking at those eyes, it truly felt like looking into a bottomless abyss, as if his soul was being seized by some great terror. If it weren’t for the [Supreme God’s Blessing] and the protection of the Holy Sword, Shien might have already gone insane.

As Shien trembled involuntarily, the fallen goddess amidst the explosions of light moved.

“Boom!”

An aura of evil, completely opposite to the dazzling explosions of light, erupted from Lilith, appearing incredibly eerie and dark.

If the celestial bodies released white beams of light and white explosions, then the evil aura unleashed by Lilith was a black halo and black explosions.

The deepest darkness was summoned by Lilith, transforming into a terrifying black hole that instantly devoured the explosions of light, even swallowing the incoming beams of light, and finally covering the celestial bodies.

“Bang!” “Bang!” “Bang!” “Bang!” “Bang!” …

The celestial bodies couldn’t even hold on for a second, all crushed by the profound darkness.

This scene made Shien’s pupils constrict.

That was advanced Celestial Magic, its power astonishing. Used by someone like Shien, with almost infinite magic power, the effect of this magic was undoubtedly extremely powerful.

Coupled with the amplification of Bestowal Magic and the enhancement of the Holy Sword, frankly speaking, if this magic were directly unleashed on the ground, leveling the fortress city of Cosmos would only take a blink of an eye.

But now, in Lilith’s hands, they couldn’t even last a second before being destroyed.

This sent alarm bells ringing in Shien’s mind. Without hesitation, he transformed into a stream of light and retreated at his fastest speed.

This was the right choice.

“Boom!”

The moment Shien retreated, the evil aura around where he had been standing a moment ago suddenly erupted, also transforming into a profound darkness, unleashing a black explosion that devoured the space there.

If Shien had still been there, the consequences would have been unimaginable.

Of course, he wasn’t out of danger yet.

“Rumble…!”

At this moment, all the evil aura erupted, transforming into a terrifying black hole, constantly spinning and churning.

“Crack, crack, crack…!”

The earth shattered.

“Bang!” “Bang!” “Bang!” “Bang!” “Bang!”

Buildings were twisted and exploded.

Cosmos, covered by the evil aura, was now facing an apocalyptic disaster, completely flattened by the rampaging evil aura.

“Oh no!”

On the rooftop of that building, Anima’s expression changed. She stretched out her hand, and a brilliant halo radiated a dazzling light, blocking the terrifying evil aura. ř𝒶₦ǑꞖÊȘ

“…!”

Leisha and Lasha’s faces were also filled with shock, unable to believe that such destruction had descended so suddenly.

“That lunatic!”

Even Airi couldn’t help but curse, her magic power surging. The halo lifted everyone present into the air, leaving behind only the building, which couldn’t withstand the devouring evil aura for even a second, turning into dust.

This scene occurred in every corner of Cosmos, turning the historic fortress city into history, no longer existing.

“Shit!”

Shien naturally saw this scene and couldn’t help but curse.

He knew that with power comparable to a Demon Lord, Lilith could even sink a continent. Destroying a city was just a matter of minutes.

However, he really hadn’t expected this evil god to act without any hesitation, directly destroying a city the moment she made a move.

Even if others had such power, they would control it, unleashing it on their enemies, concentrating it to cause maximum damage, or deliberately restraining it, subconsciously paying attention to their surroundings, not causing such large-scale destruction.

But Lilith had no such scruples, not even a single thought. The moment she acted, it was apocalyptic, venting her power on everything around her, as if her enemy wasn’t just Shien, but all living beings and everything in this world, completely devoid of humanity.

Shien even felt that if she wanted to, destroying the barrier enveloping Cosmos and letting the evil aura and beings spread further would only take a single thought.

But in this regard, Shien should be grateful that she was a fallen goddess without humanity or emotions, not deliberately doing such things, but simply emanating darkness and chaos like a doomsday device.

Therefore, unless the evil aura in Cosmos became dense enough to break the barrier, Lilith wouldn’t actively destroy it.

Of course, if that happened, the accumulated evil aura in Cosmos would be like a dam bursting, instantly exploding and destroying the entire Stalim Duchy, right?

In other words…

“I can’t drag this out too long, right?”

Feeling the evil aura impacting his body, as if he was being churned in a blender, a tearing pain spreading throughout his body, Shien gritted his teeth.

“Then let’s go all out!”

Saying so, Shien raised the Holy Sword high.

“Unseal (Heresu)!”

The last layer of steel on the Holy Sword’s blade finally detached.

“Clang—!”

An unprecedentedly brilliant light shone in the endless evil aura, like a beam of light in the darkness.

The light was incredibly dazzling.

The light was extremely holy.

As the third ring appeared on the hilt, Shien’s Holy Sword finally revealed its true form, all its power awakened.

That power not only pierced through the darkness, but also dispelled the evil aura, causing the churning evil aura in Cosmos to weaken, as if suppressed.

“Ha!”

Shien shouted coldly and slashed down with the Holy Sword.

“Swish!”

As if something was being cut open, the Holy Sword’s light sliced through the evil aura, the beam of light in the darkness also slashing down, completely severing the darkness.

The evil aura within Cosmos instantly dissipated.

Shien had cut through the evil aura enveloping the fortress city.

“No way…!?”

Leisha, enveloped by the halo in mid-air, witnessed this scene and cried out in disbelief.

“That Holy Sword…!”

Even Anima couldn’t help but look at the Holy Sword in Shien’s hand with shock.

“As expected, the power of that Holy Sword is even greater than that bastard Mitra’s…”

Airi’s expression also turned serious.

The true power of Shien’s Holy Sword shocked everyone.

Naturally, it also caught Lilith’s attention.

“—”

The fallen goddess raised her head and looked at Shien again, her eyes devoid of emotion, yet chilling.

But at this moment, Shien had already charged towards her.

The fully unleashed power of the Holy Sword surged within him, making Shien unprecedentedly powerful.

Until this moment, Shien had finally unleashed all his power, displaying his maximum combat strength.

Lilith raised her hand towards Shien, evil aura surging from her body, transforming into darkness. The darkness then surged towards Shien like a flood.

During this process, the flood-like darkness undulated and transformed into roaring beasts, lunging at Shien with their claws and teeth bared, like a stampede of wild beasts.

“Swish!”

Shien slashed with the Holy Sword, cutting the incoming beast of darkness in half. Then, without slowing down, he charged into the stampede.

“Swish!” “Swish!” “Swish!”

Slashing sounds, like continuous thunder, echoed through the air.

Shien transformed into a stream of light, charging straight through the beasts, the Holy Sword in his hand carrying a sacred, brilliant light, its magnificent sword light cutting down the dark beasts.

The dark beasts were formed from Lilith’s evil aura, without life or consciousness, naturally not subject to death. They should have instantly returned to their original form and continued to attack relentlessly.

However, the Holy Sword possessed the power to dispel and purify evil. Every bit of darkness it cut through vanished without a trace.

This seemed to make Lilith feel threatened.

“Boom!”

With an earth-shattering roar, Lilith unleashed an even more terrifying evil aura that once again filled Cosmos, attempting to destroy everything with even greater power than before.

The sky trembled.

The earth trembled.

The barrier enveloping Cosmos trembled.

Finally, even the Stalim Duchy trembled, telling everyone that the fallen goddess was getting serious.

“Not a chance!”

Shien finally broke through the endless darkness and reached Lilith.

The shining Holy Sword in his hand slashed down.
