The Conquerors Path

Chapter 871: Chapter 869-I Canʼt Hold Back Anymore.

The question Austin asked hung in the air, shifting the whole atmosphere. The world seemed to have frozen over as Austin stared into Valdrisʼs beautifully shaking amber eyes. The words he spoke had shaken her heart, destroying all the plans Valdris had created.

ʼGet a grip, daughter!ʼ

Lyssandra suddenly spoke up, breaking Valdris out of her thoughts. She tried her best to reign in her expression as she replied back, trying her best to meet Austinʼs eyes.

”I donʼt know what you are getting at, but take a step back if you donʼt want to get hurt.”

Her words, filled with power, would normally push away all men, but Austin seemingly held his ground. Normally, he would like to play around with them a bit, but right now he was a bit pressed for time, which still didnʼt mean he wouldnʼt play around quite a bit.

Thus, a smile came over Austinʼs face. He seemingly acted as if he didnʼt care about what she said as he asked back,

”Are you married?”

His words made Valdris flinch, her desperation to hold back all the true things she wanted to say as she slowly filled the room with her power, the pressure rippling forth as she spoke one more time.

”Take a step back.”

Austin didnʼt once again flinch at those words as he did something completely out of the ordinary. Still leaning in and gazing at Valdris, Austinʼs hand went forth, going to hold Valdrisʼs right cheek with his right hand. Her body flinched at the touch he gave her, a spark filling her heart, while her body warmed up.

Seeing her reaction, Austin smiled. This time, he went on his knees, kneeling in front of Valdris such that now she looked a little bit to the bottom to meet his eyes, Austinʼs hand still at Valdrisʼs right cheek as he held her gaze with certain emotions matching hers as he spoke.

”From what I can at least understand about you from meeting you even for the first moment, you look like someone that would kill with just this light touch toward your skin against your wishes, yet you arenʼt hurting me at all...”

His keen words made Valdris shift in her seat a bit as Austin continued to speak, holding her gaze.

”Let me tell you this. I have spent a lot of time around the world and had my fair share of dealing with women, but none-no woman-has made my heart race as you are currently doing now. And I can see somehow, you feel the same about me. Whatʼs going on?”

His words made Valdris flinch, her gaze seemingly going to the side of the room after which she focused it back on Austin, several words running through the mind of Valdris, all she wanted to shout out. But before she could, Austin took his hand away, his gaze being a bit disappointed and hurt as he did so.

This, along with the loss of the warmth she was feeling for the first time, made Valdris act. By pure instinct, she held Austinʼs right hand with both of hers. Without any hesitation, she brought the hand back to her cheek, making him hold there for a moment as both their eyes met again.

”Donʼt...”

Is the light word that came out of her mouth, making Austinʼs eyes widen, after which a smile came to his face.

”See... It seems even you have this same feeling as me.”

His words made Valdris sigh in her heart. She knew all the plans she just made now gone under the gutter, but she just couldnʼt let go of the peace she was receiving by having Austinʼs hand over her cheek, the warmth that embraced her heart, and the silence of emotions she was received by him being with her. She just couldnʼt let that go.

Valdrisʼs mind flashed faster. She understood the fact that this high level of attraction, this love that is already there, is not something that is singular. It seems that Austin, this young man, is also feeling it too. Valdris understood the fact that none of this was normal, that this would throw a wrench into the life she had so carefully created.

But she didnʼt care. Valdris didnʼt care. She could already come to understand it was all fate. Everything was fate. All the moments in her life were leading toward this. Unknown to Valdris, her thoughts were twisted from the past of a woman bound by blood, thus she had come to view the situation in a different manner. There always lay several stories and historic records of hidden matches.

The truth of how there exist perfect matches between individuals being born from the connection of fate set into the past. Bloodlines form a unique connection that will never be able to let go. They say that kind of connection is the purest love there is, for itʼs a connection deeper than just blood. Itʼs... fate.

And Valdris had found it. She did not doubt that Austin was feeling the same too, and any more action would likely make things worse. So her expression melted, the fierceness and coldness she showed against him gave way to a gentle smile on her face, her blush deepening while she enjoyed the warmth of Austinʼs hand on her face.

”Yes, I feel it too...”

Valdris muttered as she looked into the eyes of Austin, their gazes holding over each other as she asked with trembling eyes.

”Is this a bloodline connection? Is this perhaps... fate?”

His words made Valdrisʼs heart hitch up, the same thought process of love making her mind blown away with happiness. She was no longer just the single woman who clawed her way into power within the war council; she was now a woman fully and utterly and hopelessly in love

that cannot be changed.

”Perhaps this is...”

Valdris replied, making Austin flinch, and cough, and right at that moment, Austin, with a sly smile, activated the lust that had built up-the one he had pushed away. The moment he did, without any question, he lunged forward, his lips meeting that of Valdrisʼs. Her body heat, in a sense being higher than his, made her body flinch from the kiss but the lust and love took over as Valdris responded.

Her soft, supple lips moulded around his, her tongue diving hungrily into his mouth. The taste of her was intoxicating, a heady mixture of desire and unbridled passion. As their tongues duelled, he ran his fingers through her luxurious hair, tangling them in the silky strands. She whimpered softly, her body melting into his embrace.

His hands roamed lower, squeezing and massaging her shapely ass, marveling at its firmness and resilience. He pulled her closer, pressing her soft breasts against his chest. She moaned softly, molding herself to his frame. Their kiss deepened, their bodies seeking more contact. His hands slid up her sides, caressing her curves, before coming to rest on her breasts.

He cupped them in his palms, kneading the supple mounds, rolling her pert nipples between his fingers. Valdris arched into his touch, her breath coming in short, sharp gasps. ”So good,” she panted, her eyes half-lidded with lust. ”Please, Austin... I need more.” Austin chuckled lowly, the sound dark and full of promise.

”Patience, my dear. Iʼll give you everything you desire.” He leaned down, trailing his lips along the column of her throat, nibbling and sucking at the delicate skin. She tilted her head back, giving him better access, a breathy moan escaping her lips. The sharp sting of his teeth sent jolts of pleasure straight to her core. His hands continued their sensual onslaught, squeezing and groping her breasts, tweaking her nipples until they were stiff peaks. He could feel her wetness pressing against his thigh, evidence of her arousal. Valdris moaned, her hips rocking restlessly against his. ”Austin, I canʼt... ” she tried to protest, but her words were lost in the heat of their kiss. He growled in frustration, rising to his feet. With a swiftness she didnʼt expect, he scooped her up in his strong arms and carried her to the bed. She gasped, her hands curled tightly around his neck as he lay her down, pinning her to the soft mattress.

His lips found hers again, devouring her as if heʼd been starved for her taste. Her legs wrapped around his waist, her wetness coating his lower stomach. He was relentless, his mouth and hands roaming over her body with an urgency that matched her own. His thumbs circled and teased her hardened nipples, eliciting cries of pure pleasure from her. ”Yes....” he groaned, his voice hoarse with desire. ”Let me taste you, Valdris. Every inch of you.” He trailed his lips down her neck, across her collarbone, swirling his tongue around one rosy peak before drawing it into his mouth.

He suckled greedily, his teeth scraping the sensitive bud over her dress. Valdris writhed beneath him, her hands tangling in his hair, silently begging him for more. He lavished attention on both breasts, worshipping them with his mouth and teeth until she was writhing and pleading for mercy. ”More,” she gasped, her voice ragged with need. ”I need you, Austin. Now.” He groaned at her words, his own arousal throbbing painfully between his legs. He kissed his way lower, his lips and tongue exploring her stomach, the soft, dimpled flesh of her belly button all over her dress, the valley that led to his ultimate prize.
