The Conquerors Path

Chapter 858: Chapter 856-Curse Of The Bloodline?

[It would seem Tria is planning on joining the academy sometime later]

ʼOh?ʼ

A small smile came to my face at those words, my gaze looking at the night sky, the beautiful moons in the sky, as I started to understand that, like always, maybe the beginning of whatever it is that puts an end to this world begins at the academy itself.

ʼIs she coming to find a protagonist? Or does she know deeper secrets lay within the academy?ʼ

The mysteriousness of it all only brought more excitement into what the future holds for me, my body flashing as I appeared in the night sky, looking down at the city of Kharaldur in all its glory. Even now, at night, several beautiful lights spread across the city, taming it with shining beauty, what lay within it being powerful variants that canʼt be broken down.

ʼI want to spread this all around the world.ʼ

If I want to settle down here anytime in the near future, I want this place to reach the technological level of my past world. It wonʼt happen now, and it will take a long time before it reaches that state, especially the level of interest in all other parts of entertainment, but the sublevel has already been achieved here.

All it will take is the right push, initiative, and power for things to start really changing, a small smirk coming to my face as my body moved through the night sky. I easily passed through different layers of protection as I floated over The Aurum Crown sector, the royal beauty and style here being completely different from the other sectors.

”This looks quite beautiful.ʼ

I mused, looking down at the city. Iʼll never forget my first glimpse of The Aurum Crown. Standing there at the peak of Kharaldur, I felt my breath catch in my throat. You know that feeling when something is so beautiful it almost hurts to look at it? Thatʼs what it was like. The spires seemed to cradle the night sky itself, their golden light making the stars look dim in comparison.

Gods, where do I even begin to describe it? While the rest of Kharaldur busies itself with the practical stuff - you know, the forges and workshops - up here, itʼs like they decided to show off what dwarves can really do when they let their imaginations run wild. Every building tells a story. I spent hours just tracing the carvings with my eyes - heroes of old, great battles, moments that shaped their history. And the streets! Iʼve never seen anything like them. Imagine walking on a river of gemstones and gold, each step revealing new patterns in the light of crystal lanterns that seem to float on their delicate metal stems.

The Grand Hall of Kharaldur... now thatʼs something else entirely. It sits in the middle of everything like a proud parent watching over their children. The massive cogwheels on its sides keep turning, slow and steady - they donʼt actually do anything, mind you, but thatʼs kind of the point. Itʼs art for artʼs sake, something rare among the usually practical dwarves. The windows stopped me in my tracks - huge panels of stained crystal that painted the inside with colours I didnʼt even know existed.

I couldnʼt help but laugh at myself, standing there gawking like a child at a festival. But how could I not? Those Golden Spires where the royal family lives - each one topped with these incredible domes that seem alive with light. The colours they cast make the whole sector look like itʼs underwater, shifting and dancing. And donʼt even get me started on the bridges connecting everything - theyʼre made of glass and steel but look as delicate as spider silk, decorated with these incredible patterns of vines wrapped around gears.

The streets themselves are something special. Black stone so polished you can see yourself in it lined with the strangest gardens Iʼve ever seen. Half the plants are real, half mechanical, and honestly? I couldnʼt always tell which was which. Golden leaves tinkle like wind chimes, and flowers open and close with perfect precision. Itʼs like nature and machines decided to stop arguing and just dance together instead.

Even at night, the place has this... energy about it. Not the loud, busy kind you get down in the Gearlock District, but something more refined. The people here move differently, too - all- purpose and poise, dressed in clothes that probably cost more than Iʼll see in a lifetime.

The guards - if you can call them that - are these incredible constructs that look more like mobile artwork than security. Gold and silver decorations catch the light as they patrol, managing to look both beautiful and deadly at the same time.

Do you know what really got me, though? The fountains. Instead of water, they flow with actual liquid light. I stood watching one for what felt like hours, listening to the gentle chiming of bells carried on the wind. Someone somewhere must time them perfectly because they create this gorgeous, endless melody.

At the edges of it all sits the Diplomatic Enclave. Itʼs fascinating how theyʼve managed to blend other culturesʼ architectural styles with dwarven craftsmanship. Itʼs like theyʼre saying, ”Look, we can make your ideas even better” - typical dwarven confidence, but I have to admit, they pull it off.

Standing there, taking it all in, I couldnʼt help but whisper to myself, ”This is what dreams look like when they grow up.ʼ The Aurum Crown isnʼt just showing off - though it definitely does that, too. It shows whatʼs possible when you push beyond the practical and dare to create something purely beautiful.

I left with my head spinning with possibilities. If this is what they can achieve here, imagine what could be done on a global scale. The Aurum Crown isnʼt just a pretty face - itʼs a glimpse of what the future could be. And Iʼve got to tell you, that future looks pretty damn

spectacular.

As my gaze left that beauty, it turned to focus on something else, my senses picking up the two main things I came to see. And as if they could sense my presence, the eyes of the two women shifted to gaze toward the sky as if they could feel my presence wrapping around them, calling to them, the intense shift in emotions happening around them all the more clear to be felt.

”The effects have become stronger, and itʼs also forcing them stronger too.ʼ

My eyes narrowed at that thought, sensing the fight going on inside the minds of the two dwarven women. Like before, the call in my bloodline hits at them, forcing them to confront the fact that there exists their true love out there. It begins with not giving them the true love in their life and matching the truth towards me.

ʼBut each of them has their own unique way in which they were tortured.ʼ

Lora was forced to live without any emotions till I came, granting her all the emotions she needed, and Vena had a dual personality born in her from her emotions towards me, one true side fully dependent on me. In the case of Nathalia, it ended up with her having an intense fear of men, and it only did not work when she was around me, thus quickly granting me her love along with the intense rush of emotions filling her up.

Itʼs not just the situation around them; itʼs also the fact that I am like a saviour to them. No matter how much they fight against it, I will fill their dreams, I will fill their thoughts, and I will dominate their life until I become the only focal point of their life, the one true love they will not be able to live without.

In all scenarios I have seen, I am the only point holding their sanity together, giving them their biggest hope, helping them to achieve a normal life and love with me, thus granting me their unlimited love. This creates a major turning point in their minds that we are destined for each other as if we were born for each other.

A fantasy-like situation that will draw them to me. To Lora, I am her emotions. To Vena, I am her destined one. To Nathalia, I am the only male she could love, all of it being the perfect counter, giving me full control over the women.

ʼAnd it would seem that itʼs no different for these women too.ʼ

My eyes flashed as I saw through the details within this royal palace, all the changes clear for my eyes to see. Within seconds, I had all the information I needed about these women, and it thus painted the picture of what I would have to do about them when I confronted them

tomorrow.

”They will definitely rush to me tomorrow.ʼ

I smiled, knowing full well that tomorrow would be quite a hectic day for me, but with more information at my hand, I will be able to react better to the situation that will be thrown into my hands. Thus, with a small final nod, I moved away from the location, soon appearing back

in the house.

A relaxing feeling filled my body as I walked toward the sofa taking a seat. My eyes slowly closed down as I relaxed, awaiting the scenes tomorrow will bring.
