The Conquerors Path

Chapter 837: Chapter 835-My Choice.

The tension in the room was palpable as my decision was still to be heard, all of them looking at me with bated breaths as my fingers trailed through the table, my expression staying calm, yet on the inside, I had already decided on which course I would be taking, one that would be most useful to me, because in the end, no matter what happens, that one wish will definitely fall into my hands.

”I have decided.”

I finally spoke, the tension in the room now sky-high as everyone watched me lean into the table, a small smile coming to my face as I spoke.

”We will fight.”

It was a declaration that brought smiles to the faces of many. Some stayed neutral, and a few didnʼt feel good about this decision being made at all.

”Are you sure, sir? There is no high chance that we can win, the war council has the true monsters of this generation.”

Tron spoke, his expressions staying neutral, and in a normal case, I would have to agree with him. Just looking at the monster that Zelda is is enough to show the fact that this generation is not one to be messed with. Sure, Zelda is a very out-of-the-box example, but even then, ones lower yet mind-blowing still exist within those groups of talents.

Taking them all on wonʼt be easy at all. There will be a lot of problems that we, as a group, will have to face, but within this, there are also some other things I have to deal with too-the new capture targets that came to the place from the different organisations. With my current level, I have already marked all of them.

From a normal point of view, going against the girls you will be trying to woo is not the best of choices, but I have my own path that I will be taking to deal with it all, and itʼs not a small part at all. Plus, I have to be even more careful here since, unlike the girls I knew, I didnʼt actually put a history tracker on these girls.

When I travelled, I made sure to create at least one kind of connection that would be extremely useful before the academy-a sort of failsafe I would be able to use in case the opponent of the protagonist, Leonardo, becomes too much for me to handle. However, later down the lines, as I got more and more OP ways and powers, things started to look a bit redundant on the past actions.

But even then, it has helped me a lot and created a more foundational emotion between the two of us. It wonʼt be as flimsy as emotions generated from one or two love attacks - a strong background will exist to be used, and it has helped in many ways. It also keeps the romance story strong going forward.

But the same canʼt be said for the new girls I will be picking up. This whole situation just pushes things for me to another level, though happily, this has gone forth to show me how the game had to be played-the true stretch of everything becoming clear because, in the game, I had never heard of this whole scenario happening.

This whole new scenario unlocks new areas and new girls that I will have to deal with and plan for in the coming days while still dealing with and planning for the girls I am currently dealing with a lot of issues for a guy my age.

”Tron, you are right, there is a high chance we will fail. War is not fought with a single individual. While as powerful as I know I am, I canʼt take the fight all alone. That is why all this time I have tried to grow the strengths of the ones around me, of the ones that support me.”

My words sounded out peaceful and controlled as I went eye to eye with Tron.

”The ones we will be facing will be the best of the best, the most talented of this generation, with skills and bloodline abilities even we wonʼt be able to guess, this being supported by the smartest of our generation too.”

The more I spoke, the more the true situation started to spread out as Tron nodded. The rest of them knew the fact, but hearing it out straight from my mouth didnʼt make it better for the rest of them.

”But that doesnʼt mean I donʼt believe in the ones gathered in this room. They all started from nothing and at one point were nothing to everybody or somebody, but now they stand at a point that nobody would dare to stifle them or even humiliate them. They rallied from the bottom to here.”

These words made all of them pump their chests a bit, Tron having a small frown on his face as I continued.

”And I still havenʼt brought all of you to the top. You are right-we can play it safe and stay safe, but if we risk it all, we will reach heights far beyond what we currently stand at, reaching the true peak and being called the best of this whole generation. What more glory can there be than this?”

As I kept speaking, my whole aura started to cover the room, the ones trembling with might all around my words and activities, even slowly influencing the heart of Tron. I could hear it- the increasing heartbeat of the ones around me, the pumping of their blood getting faster and even heavier, their gaze turning sharp and dangerous as I continued on.

”We live once, and we die once. Playing it safe is the norm, but I donʼt want to do that. I want my faction to stand at the peak where no one will be able to gaze at them. I want my people to stand at powers that no one will be able to touch, and I will crush anyone that will stand in my way.”

”Yeah!”

Rina shouted as she hit the table with her strength, this breaking Tron out of his daze as he took a small hold of his heart, his gaze turning confused for a moment, after which he spoke.

”While you have indeed ignited my spirit, spirits and words can only take you so far in a war. We need real power, we need real strength-ones that canʼt be fully competed against. We need truly unbreakable power in our hands.”

I didnʼt reject the words of Tron. While I can pump up these guys and get the strongest ones from my own organisations, the Archery Association and even the DarkNight, the rest of them wonʼt be as easy to deal with as this. There will be a limit to what all of them here can do. The ones below them will be the greatest to suffer.

The issue here is the fact that even the lowest member in other small powers here, especially from the war council, will be the best of the best. Comparing those to the lowest members in my faction-well... there is no comparison at all.

My chest heaving a bit as I relaxed onto my chair, a smile on my face as I asked the very silent and ever-following Sana something.

”Sana, how is the group of assassins you were training?”

My question made Sana smile, the daggers in her hands flashing to her hands, their darkness making the room eerie for a moment as she replied.

”They now, with the blessing of darkness, have only gotten even more deadly. Anyone

standing in their way wonʼt know what hit them before their life will be snuffed out.”

Her words, filled with power and darkness, made Tron gulp down, seeing a crazy smile on the

face of the always silent and expressionless Sana.

”Good. Then tell me, Clara, how is project healing going?”

Clara smirked at my words as she replied.

”Better than we thought and anticipated. The list you gave me held some good and useful healers who will grow, they even have the special skills to boost the time of learning and even efficiency. With time, they will be a squad that will change the field of a whole battlefield, making the enemies despair and the allies dance.”

Her words hinted at even more detail as her information flew towards Tron along with Sanaʼs, which showed how everything was going. The man took a moment to read through them, and his eyes widened at everything he read, a small apprehension passing through his mind at the

data within his hands.

I wasnʼt done yet as my next call went forth.

”Amon, how go the hunters?”

My words made Amonʼs eyes flash red as he responded with a sinister grin.

”Better than ever. Demons of the lost and vengeful have gathered under us, forming the most dangerous and vicious pack of hounds. They will tear through anything in front of them in an instant without hesitation or regard for their own bodies. The healing weʼve bestowed upon them has turned them into undying beasts, fearless of any danger.”

Amonʼs document flowed out of his hand toward Tron, who caught it and began to read with shaky eyes. The truth of all the previous assignments I had given them was now slowly

coming to light.
