The Conquerors Path

Chapter 816: Chapter 814-Many......Many......Plans.

”You are getting your ass kicked bad for a no-ability bet.”

I again spoke to Ella, ignoring the guy named Lampok, feeling a little bad for him. It looks like his parents went into no-thinking mode before they called him something.

”Itʼs just a rough patch, heʼs good, thatʼs all,” Ella replied with a small edge to her tone. But it still canʼt hide the fact that she is indeed noticing the fact that she is getting her ass kicked. But even above that, Ella would have also noticed the fact that her moves are being read. Ella wouldnʼt be Ella, leading the faction mind within the faction of Carmel if she didnʼt understand the fact that the opponent in front of her is somehow reading her mind.

The flat proof of it is in the game table itself, where Ella had made a foolish move in which the normal response would be to take another attack. But to the ones that can understand the mild intent of the mind, Lampok took a different action, and this has only gone forth to prove Ellaʼs suspicions.

But sadly for Ella, even though she can understand it unless she can prove how itʼs happening, she wonʼt be able to call it out. Because in the scene right now, she is losing, and if she were to call it out now, to the eyes of the crowd, it would be the false call of a sore loser. And if she calls out and canʼt prove how itʼs happening, it would only damage her reputation and, worse, the reputation of the faction she holds.

ʼLooks like all of them have started to make their moves.ʼ

I mused, feeling all the ones gathered around and the ones watching on with certain wide eyes. The funny thing here is that Lampok isnʼt just doing this to get the fame-that is just the desire in him-but there is the higher command here of humiliating the mind and the planner of Carmelʼs faction.

These movements being started by the faction that had been formed around by the ones that came from outside the ones from the powerful organisations with their ego making their moves. Of course, these so-called factions are illegal and should not be created, but they are using the loopholes, and now they wish to exist legally. And for it, they need the ring, and they need to humiliate factions one by one until they break it all down.

First, they have started their movements, and Ella is the very first one among those who are targeted. And it will only keep getting worse from here on out, too, my sense detecting the ones supporting Lampok and also understanding the fact that Lampok, in a sense, is another smart head of the faction that is controlling all this.

The dude is angry at me for taking away the attention of the girls and taking away the attention of the whole crowd scenario-that is his moment to shine. Though sadly, I canʼt let that bet go at all. After all, I need the current faction to exist. Maybe one of them can go, and it will go. When I say it can go, the little cat prince is slowly getting on my nerves, too.

”We are still playing this match.”

Lampok spoke again, his voice was a little more hardened than before, this causing my anger to flare inside me. The thought that a mortal can talk to me like this going and hitting at my ego. Though the moment it happened, I played in my mind the scene that happened some time ago―me on my knees, unable to do anything but accept my death within the realm of corruption.

And the utter feeling of being treated like an ant, easily bursting the bubble of my ego. My realm of corruption and even order took a back seat as I relaxed, my expressions staying the same, and this scene of me going almost berserk and turning back to normal happened at a speed that none of the mortals here could understand. So, within a moment, I replied.

”I hear you. I just wanted to have a talk with Ella here, and if you want to stop me, bring anyone here to stop me, then.”

As the last of my words spread out, my aura intensified, and the mana around me trembled. The pure pressure of death and fate filled up the space, and Lampok took a step back from it, his presence wavering even as he sat in the chair. The step being taken with him having been pushed back, the chair dragging along with him.

My presence also focused on those bastards that had been trying to intervene, pressuring them at their own position, and within the moment, the entire presence within the whole area changed, twisted into something dangerous and ugly, and everyone could only hold their breath as I took in all the attention.

”Any problem?”

”.....”

No response came to me, just a stifling silence it, which was more than enough to show that he wouldnʼt be opening his mouth anytime soon again. My gaze then turned towards Ella, who had an impressed look on her face as she spoke.

”Never thought you could be this intimidating or forceful.”

”Just because I stay gentle and nice doesnʼt mean I like to always stay that way. Sometimes you need force for people to listen, and at times acting weak will only get you more trouble.”

”I canʼt agree more,” Ella replied with a small smirk of her own, her understanding of me at an all-time high, with the good reputation call in her mind. And thus, it was time to start my move with her. A small barrier that blocks noise covered just the two of us, and Ella quickly noticed it, her eyes rising up a bit in surprise as she spoke.

”I thought you were a warrior? But your mana control is even better than all the mages I know.”

She replied, a certain edge to her voice, and along with it, I also saw her gaze flash, seemingly saving up the info in her mind. While we all look amiable on the surface, Ella understands the fact that in the end, when the war for the crown comes, we all will be enemies, and thus, any information she can glean from me at any time will only be of more use to her.

”You do know he is cheating, right?”

I asked, my words making her just nod her head.

”I already noticed it, but I just canʼt tell how heʼs doing it. I had, after all, taken all

precautions to avoid cheating.”

As she said this, she gave me a look, seemingly waiting for more from me, but I just smiled a

bit longer, my expression becoming a bit sly as I spoke.

”I came and warned you in a small regard for Carmel, but that doesnʼt mean I am stupid enough to just tell you the answer.”

My words seemingly made Ella smirk as she replied.

”I mean, isnʼt it valuable to you too? Me losing would be bad for all of us. The reputation of

the original factions might go down the drain.”

ʼAs expected, she has understood the final intentions.ʼ

I made an inward nod at her powers to understand the situation, and to it, I spoke, shrugging

my shoulder.

”Who would dare talk bad about my faction after I showed the world the things I got? Iʼd like to see the ones who can.....”

My words broke her expression for a moment, after which she coolly replied.

”Then, at least do it for Carmel. The two of you are close, and she also recently even opened up the archery club to your control, too, against my better judgment. Just what did you do to my beloved leader to make her take a step back?”

Intense curiosity and even a hint of apprehension in her tone as Ella asked this of me. She, being a close confidant of Carmel, could understand the fact that there was a deeper story between me and Carmel. And once Carmel gets back, it wonʼt take long for Ella to figure out the fact that Carmel might perhaps be in love with me.

ʼAnd then her stance would change in another way.ʼ

In all regards, I am a good, protective husband for Carmel, too. The only issues would be with the fact of certain political matters. And in a sense, if Carmel is to succeed, then I would perhaps become the next Consort Emperor and directly turn into Ellaʼs boss, too. Though none of it has happened yet, it is still bound to take place.

Thatʼs how the story goes in the game. And even above that, thatʼs how we also begin to arouse the deep, dark desire in Ellaʼs heart. In the game, I had only knowledge of it, but right now, looking face-to-face with Ella, I can see that dark desire still festering in her heart. Itʼs hidden, and even Ella doesnʼt know about it, and itʼs our duty as the player to bring it out in the game.

The deep, dark desire to cuckold, her best friend and the next Empress...
