The Conquerors Path

Chapter 833: Chapter 831-Trisha Is The Way In.

Other powers with more open and comfortable and even more reliable power started to show up, the youngsters with good ideas started to take the lead, and openings and positions of who could be taken in as protection started to be formed, several other powers being led by other individuals rose in power and might.

The mistake the War Council made was letting the enemies in their sense fester under their watch. Sure, in the beginning, the 11 heroes had their back, and later on, powerful geniuses blessed their ranks, but sadly for them, the arrogance of not seeing the full picture stabbed them in the back with the manner of reality-defying geniuses being born here and there. Geniuses outside the norm, ones that refuse to be under another and play by the rules of another, ones that want their own power, they rose up and started building more beautiful and powerful organisations, growing to rates where they canʼt be simply messed with at all, commanding superior and more open powers.

Just like my master Eleanor, who revolutionised the fighting style with bows, opening up a whole new avenue of fighting styles which led towards powerful geniuses that followed that path quickly forming under her, great geniuses that couldnʼt find their path, finding one in the ways that Eleanor showed them.

The free teachings and techniques that the world got to see opened up eyes and made many failures who couldnʼt find their profession rise in the world, and all of them came under the banner of Eleanor, swearing to work only under her, and this situation happened even before my master to many others too.

Several powers formed like that, and the kingdoms and Empires that worked under these so- called powers slowly started to shift. And these things kept going until it reached a point where it came as a threat to the power of the War Council.

Make no mistake, what I have come to learn is that even now, the War Council reigns supreme in power and prestige. The amount of resources and experts at their disposal is such that even I have to get the full picture, which means they are not to be messed with, and thatʼs why the other organisations still stay in check and donʼt touch upon more territories.

But all of that is now starting to change. The War Council finally woke up from their slumber and has come to understand the path they are treading towards, and itʼs not a path where any one of them wants to end up. Thus, they began setting up several plans, taking away great geniuses and snuffing some enemies in the buds themselves.

But that isnʼt enough. The situation was still not good for them in the future. That supreme power and command they had in the past, the taste of that power had corrupted them, and now they wanted it all back. So, what is the best way to get that power? To hold the greatest fear and respect in their hands.

...War...

That was the key to everything. The very council that was formed to stop the wars started their plans to make one. But the true dangers of that are that the war between the kingdoms, this small forming bubble, is just the beginning. What they are aiming for isnʼt just the power but also to take away the organisations with it too.

The outside ones have been growing in too much power lately, getting on the nerves of the other powers, and it ainʼt good at all for anyone. So the War Council has decided that itʼs time to nip them one by one or to swallow them up whole, bringing them down to their knees. But then again, this action cannot be taken without any ʼreasonableʼ cause.

And thatʼs what the War Council is going to cause with this war. They will be pushing the limits, acting upon areas in the other organisations. In wars like this, only the kingdom and its power are allowed to be used; these organisations canʼt lend a hand.

That is the rule, but would that rule really stick? The members of the organisations would be from these places. Would these formed geniuses and would-be geniuses stay in their place and watch as their family and land burn into nothing?

No, they would act. They will try their best, and when they take action, the justification for the War Council will be formed. And then, the War Council would begin its true conquest, taking control and control until it reaches the final branch of power that cannot be pushed away at all, a very vicious plan in the making.

ʼThe funny part is that only a few members, the highest ones in the War Council, even know of this plan.ʼ

My lips curled at that thought. Truly, they played it all well-not low-level members or even high-level ones know the truth. Only a few members know of the full plan. Thus, when things go to shit, the War Council will indeed have all the rights to act, and the powerful ones will act since, in their own belief, the truth is on their side.

ʼA slimy, brilliant plan, I have to say.ʼ

I laughed internally, thinking about how all this was going to play out. I still have time before the big games begin. Wars take a long time to come into effect and take time to even begin to show their true colours. Even in this world where the superhumans move, there exist rules and procedures to be followed in wars.

One set up so that no mindless killing by the powerful takes place and that rules canʼt be bent even by the War Council. So I will have my sweet time dealing with, playing, and changing the whole game the War Council is playing to my liking, such that in the end, I would be the one with the greatest prize in my hand.

ʼWhich would begin with my plans with my faction.ʼ

The operation from the DarkNight still stands to be done, and it will be very important for the roles I have kept for my future. Once Trisha does her side of the job, I will finally be able to restart my actions with the War Council, forming and doing what I really want, and I will have the support to do what I want too-from the highest, that is.

I didnʼt just target Trisha and her grandmother just because her grandmother led one of the most powerful factions in the whole of the War Council. Itʼs also because Trishaʼs grandfather, the husband, is among the very few who know of this whole plan and is happy with drowning this continent in blood for more power.

The good thing I learned is that Trishaʼs grandmother doesnʼt know of this plan. She is more gentle and forthcoming in many ways, and the best thing is that the woman still commands half the power of that faction. The husband and wife deal with the faction together, having raised it to the top for hundreds of years, making them very revered and respected figures in the War Council.

ʼAnd that will be my way in.ʼ

If it was before, I would feel a small prick in my head at doing this even though the husband is planning to murder millions of innocent lives, not anymore. I have already got all the information I can about this woman from Trisha and even the DarkNight. Plus, I will be doing my recon and understanding now since I have reached this level.

ʼIt wonʼt be easy at all.ʼ

As I thought of the hard work, my heart raced with anticipation. The other side of corrupting that dances in desire and power felt excited about the fact of taking away this GILF from such

a long relationship that was tested over time, and it wonʼt be easy. And with the elfʼs level of

power, using cheap tricks wonʼt work.

ʼLooks like I will need to bring out the big guns in manipulation.ʼ

An inner fire in me at that thought, between which I heard Alexʼs gasp.

”The War Council is causing the war?”

His words paused the whole situation, many faces turning pale at this outward notation and many feeling a chill at their backs at this understanding. The eyes all robotically moved to look at me as I, with a severe expression, just gave a light nod as I spoke.

”Keep the thoughts in your mind.”

My words, mixed with a stern warning, which they all took, but the confirmation only made them all the more squeaky and pressured. The picture had changed now. Before, it was a simple war; now, it is something more, something that can affect all of them, something that will change the very structure of this world.

I could pick up the various emotions arising from this situation, and not one of them looked to have any happy feelings about this. The situation is very similar to knowing about an all- seeing entity or power out there becoming your enemy-not something anyone would enjoy. However, this organisation and its corruption reminded me of one I had once taken care of back in my world, a powerful, world-controlling organisation that had stood in my way and one that I had to break from the inside. I even used their names for the fake one to fool

Leonardo.

Illuminati...

Thatʼs what they called themselves, I believe.
