The Conquerors Path

Chapter 834: Chapter 832-Internal Killing.

”This is not right....”

Emma, the more gentle of the ones gathered here, spoke, her words resonating with all of us as I nodded my head at her words.

”You are right, this is not right at all. But as you have experienced firsthand, this world focuses more on interests and what can be achieved from it. Sometimes, even the best meant to protect us would be the ones to betray us.”

My words only made the others feel the pinch in their hearts from all the pain they had gone through. Emma bit her lips a bit hard, her eyes twinkling with a certain edge to them as she asked me.

”Then what in the world is worth fighting for? Why do we live in love and protection?”

I didnʼt answer her immediately. My eyes held Emmaʼs gaze, the two of us looking at each other for a moment. I raised my hand to block Mark from saying anything, this gaze being held for some time, after which I broke out of it with a smile, my voice gentler than usual as I spoke.

”The things worth fighting for are here in this room: your brother, who went through hell and back to make sure you will be all right, the ones around here who wonʼt hesitate to walk back to hell to keep you safe, and I, who will shoulder the world for all of you, I, who will make sure that all of you who have been through the worst wonʼt ever have to go through it again.”

The ones directly affected by me, saved by me with my efforts, had their hearts swell up and their chests pumped up from my words. Their gazes held the nostalgia of the past and the feelings of the present, a wave of aura filling up the place as the power of everyone started to react to my words.

Emmaʼs eyes blinked for a moment, flashing with a light blush to her ears and cheeks, her gaze coming to hold the love she has for me. She, with light breaths, took control of her emotions, her fixed gaze no longer looking too cloudy as she spoke with a nod.

”You are right. I still have a lot to protect. Thank you.”

As Emma said this, she looked around the room until her gaze came to land finally on me, the very gaze holding the smouldering feelings for me. Her looks had also started to change a bit, leaning more towards a certain mature appearance, the teachings of Clara no doubt influencing the thoughts of Emma, who was trying her best to get more attention from me.

And something tells me this confirmation of mine has only pushed forth more willpower towards Emma to make her actions to get me to notice her more active.

CLAP!

The sound of my hands clapping resounded in the room, soon focusing the whole situation around me. My gaze looked through the gathered ones as I, with a smile, spoke.

”Now, why donʼt we get rid of this stuffy atmosphere and get right to the more important topics?”

My words made the ones leaking their aura wrap themselves in it, the presence that was disturbing the room with might and power fading away as I got control of the room, their gazes now more freshened and powered up as I, with a smile, took the lead.

”While all this is indeed secretive stuff, I donʼt have to tell you all to keep your mouths shut about it, right? Especially you, Jacob. Donʼt even tell this to your lover, itʼs for her own safety.”

Jacob hesitated for a moment, but his loyalty and trust in me exceeded his own good nature as he nodded his head. I got the same confirmation from everyone as my face really faded into a relaxed one as I spoke.

”Now, how about I tell you the little secret of how I made them all follow me to just lighten up the mood?”

A friendly smile blasted through me at my words, making the interest peak in the room, all of them still having the same questions about how I had led a whole army to this place by just walking through in public. To this, I spoke.

”The method is simple yet complicated, itʼs to use charisma.”

My words raised some eyebrows as Alex asked.

”How the hell do you do that?”

The curiosity in him was sky-high, as well as in the others, as I spoke.

”Well, people normally think the concept of charisma exists only as how you walk and talk. But if pressured right and with the right mindset around you, you can release your charisma high enough that it will take the whole world at your focus.”

”Is it similar to a succubusʼs seduction?”

Alex asked with quite a dirty grin on his face, to which I gave him the stink eye, but I didnʼt reject it completely as I spoke.

”Yes, itʼs something like that, but not exactly that too. I donʼt make people horny or fall into a daze with this. The situation I showed before came from all the options and conditions coming to match for it to happen.”

”What conditions?”

Emma asked, her eyes lighting up with interest, to which I spoke.

”The conditions of your mind perceiving me as something special, to use the logic of a hidden power, to use the focus group of excitement, and then to release a full aura that binds and moves them all together.”

A lot of cryptic answers lay in the words I spoke, and many didnʼt even get a full idea of what it was. But the fast thinkers quickly got the gist of what I was talking about, Alexʼs eyes widening slowly as he asked.

”You used a full group awe of you. The first person had the first awe and mixed emotions from seeing a legend that is not normally seen in a public walk through them. That also came with the mix of heightened emotions from the faction members present in your own domain. All of it came together to form a group reaction!”

His words received a nod from me. The logic in psychology is simple: we smile back when someone smiles at us-well, at least most people have the instinctual reaction of smiling back at someone when they smile at you-which makes an action done by another go on to influence another. Thatʼs what I used.

Of course, this came with the special addition of the magic-related world. When all the influences came together, it worked. There is also the added secret of my own divine might and presence, which they donʼt need to know at all.

”But even with all this, pulling it off by spreading your aura and forming a wave of awe and worship wonʼt just fall into place with simple control,”

Nihil, ever the brooding one, spoke, making me turn toward him with a teasing smirk. ”Youʼre right,” I replied with a nod. ”Thereʼs an added effect-a special enhancement to my aura that spreads this influence. And, of course, thereʼs a secret ability at play, which Iʼll be keeping to myself. If youʼre curious, feel free to try uncovering it on your own.”

A challenging grin punctuated my words, one Alex immediately took as a provocation. Poor guy-heʼd never guess his leader had already reached the status of a half-divine capable of causing all these phenomena.

”Now that weʼve had such a grand opening,” I continued, ”why donʼt we return to the main topic for which this meeting was called?”

My words drew everyoneʼs focus to the matters at hand. I glanced at Tron, who rose from his seat, his hands moving swiftly. A collection of papers filled with detailed information floated around, landing in the hands of each member. As they began reading, Tron addressed the

room.

”What youʼre holding is the report on various types of friction occurring throughout the academy. As you can see, these incidents are at least five times higher than the usual rate.” His statement drew solemn nods as everyone examined the documents. Noting their expressions, Tron pressed on.

”Most of these issues are creating tension between different factions, straining internal friendships, and affecting student bodies, clubs, and even secret factions formed by existing

students.”

His words deepened the frowns around the table as the reports painted an increasingly grim picture. Tron, after a nod from me, continued.

”However, if you examine the situation among students from the newly arrived organisations, itʼs completely different. Theyʼre becoming more cohesive and better

organised.”

The pieces began to fall into place. My core membersʼ eyes gleamed with realisation as Alex

broke the silence.

”Theyʼre destroying us from the inside.”

A heavy weight settled over the room with his words, this is not a simple problem, this is a big conspiracy that is targeting everything, one that seems to be pulling moves large enough to change the status of everything around.
