The Conquerors Path

Chapter 835: Chapter 833-True King.

”They are slowly showing their fangs towards us,”

Alex muttered as the end of the report was reached, all of them having read what was written and the information only giving them chills at the level of planning and sophistication that is going into turning this whole academy upside down, enough to give the outsiders the advantage they need.

”Whoever is doing this is someone ruthless, controlled, and can control resources on a massive scale, someone from-”

”-The war council,”

I spoke, finishing off the words of Alex, who nodded his head at my words, the addition of this word once again making everyone pause for a moment. It would seem that the ugly stretches and control of the war council have started to drill themselves into even the academy, and itʼs something to be expected, too.

That single level of getting to achieve one wish from the highest-rated and the creator goddess is a salivating present that even they wonʼt let go of. Sure, there are limits, but even with that, this prize is something they will never be able to let go of, the possibilities in front being close to infinite on what the war council will finally be able to achieve.

And now it seems their plans have started deep into this place, aiming for the prize and rings that shine in our hands. Though it seems the plan at the beginning was to use the princess and the current holders as puppets, it seems the younger generation itself is quite involved in this themselves, making the job much more ego-filled.

”A single seat of power that will even make those resource-packed kids shine with greed... the seat for King/Queen of Babylon.”

There lay several secrets and inside whispers into that one seat, with some rumours being as exaggerated as being able to even wish to get complete control over this whole city, being omniscient enough to rule over this massive piece of floating land as an absolute ruler. Many of such wishes are the whispers heard on the insides about the wish the winner would get.

”This is becoming too dangerous, so many political agendas are being pushed into this academy, even though itʼs said to be the peak of neutral force, quite the contradictory place this is now,”

Zora chimed in with a mocking chuckle, which nobody went against, Alex going forth to add more words.

”Their main goal is to destabilise us and take action at the right moment. They already tried to take over by force but got easily crushed with that strategy by the lists we attacked from Austin and Austinʼs display that put the whole plan on pause due to the pure way in which Austin dominated.”

I nodded my head at those words, agreeing with them. Back then, the hidden agenda beyond kicking their ass for sticking too close to Elda was also to put a pause on the plans of the new students. Back then, I didnʼt have all the information I have now. Back then, I also didnʼt have all the information I am seeing right now.

But even with the less information I had, I was able to dictate the flow of where they were going. The increasing tension rising at that time would have only led to a full-blown war between the original existing students and the new pompous ones that came from the outside organisations. The heat was too much.

And it was as if someone was controlling it such that a full-blown battle would take place where the factions would have no choice but to interfere, where it would create the real circumstances for the real masterminds to take action, strip the rings away in a public way with enough justifications backing them up.

In such a way, the leaders of the faction themselves had to step forward to take the battle head-on, with no way out of it. That was ʼtheirʼ main goal, but I completely stomped it to the ground when I defeated all those powerful students single-handedly. The brutal winning completely took away the stress the other students were feeling.

It also dealt with giving them relaxation, which slowly lowered the heat that was being produced. After the whole realm shift that happened, I had formed a de facto-like leadership among all the students, so my faction acted as slapping the face of all the other students from the outside, which brought the whole stress to a close.

After that, I even gave the list of people my members had to fight, the ones from the outside that came here. I also made sure to contact the other factions and advised them to do the same, giving them all lists of students their students would be able to target, making sure that they wouldnʼt lose face of power.

And from there, the situation de-escalated. With our side showing the power and holding up proper etiquette, the whole situation of our side being superior came out, and with students being able to let off their steam, everything worked out well, and the whole plan they had created meticulously fell short. There was also the situation of the ones who made the plan being shocked by my strength too, which led them to not take any action for the moment. ”You were the biggest factor in keeping everyone in check,”

Tron spoke as he looked at me, everyone else listening intently as he continued.

”The whole plan was foiled because they couldnʼt measure or even see the depths of your power, which also meant that they couldnʼt take any stupid steps that would cause them any issues. They couldnʼt move until they were sure of how to deal with you.”

I stayed silent at his words as Rina suddenly asked.

”Then if they have started to move, it means...?”

Tron nodded at her words as he replied.

”It would mean they might have found a way to neutralise Austin or even make him useless to the full situation.”

At his words, everyone looked at me, their eyes filled with worry, and I could see some of the girls already thinking of certain drastic bad things that could happen to me.

”Donʼt put your head too much into it. The war council wonʼt hurt me in any way. I am like a prized possession to them with my ability to heal corruption. The way to neutralise me would only be something in the bounds of the academy; there wonʼt be any dirty hands at play.” My words eased some of them, but not everyone, as Rina spoke with a snarl. ”But what guarantee is that? The world is a dark and dirty place. There is no guarantee that one of those stuck-up pompous bitches wonʼt try something backhanded on their own, using their so-called great familiesʼ resources to keep you down.”

Her words only made the situation turn even darker at those words, while I smirked at it, relaxing myself in the chair as I asked.

”Who is my grandfather?”

This one single question froze the room. The name of the single greatest legend in the realms of war is at the tip of the tongues of everyone, and with that name, the truth of how powerful my grandfather would be at the time of war-the God of War is not one to be messed with at

all.

”As long as my grandfather lives, no powerful family will dare do anything so stupid. And even if they did, donʼt you all know my true power level?”

My words reminded all of them again at which height I stood, these words quickly making everyone relax, and even Alex started to laugh.

”Heheheheh... Hahahaha... those fools! Even with all their planning, they will only think of you in the realm of human possible power. How would they know the truth that you have broken all possible limits of talent?!”

His words made the rest of them smile as I looked at the worried Rina with a smile.

”Heard that? Let them send their killers to me. It will, in the end, only destroy them and make

me stronger.”

My words finally made Rina relax as Tron spoke.

”Even with all the trump cards you have, you are still human. A lot is going on, and if not

looked after properly, we will all suffer the consequences of it.”

ʼWell, I am not actually human anymore though.ʼ

Keeping that thought to myself, I spoke.

”I guess even the comradeship formed within war can only take you so far when true profits

and issues arise.”

Tron nodded at my words as he replied.

”You are right. Itʼs the great friendships you created during the war that kept them all

together, binding them as one. But whoever is doing this they are good. They are leading

small, small pieces of issues, joining them little by little that even the ones being affected arenʼt realising how far they are slipping away until itʼs too late.”
