Chapter 1648: Approaching the End of the War

Once he avoided the flowerʼs attack, Andreas looped around the flower to avoid the thorns and spikes that were still chasing him.

After that, Andreas raised his blade and created a fire from his soul and let it burn them.

The fire continued to spread, moving closer and closer to the base of the flowerʼs body.

Noticing this power, the instinct of the flower chose to cut off the spikes and thorns before the fire reached its body.

During that time, Andreas sneaked in and hit the flower on the back, cutting the upper part of the flower.

In that instant, the flower petals started to dry up as if its life was slipping away.

”Huu…” Andreas let out a heavy breath. He might not have done much, but his power relied too much on spiritual energy. To overpower anotherʼs soul, he needed more energy.

In addition, he had used a considerable amount of energy to rush to this place. So, he wouldnʼt be able to last for very long.

Fortunately, the moment the upper part of the flower was taken down, the flower started losing its power.

Andreas raised his power one more time and cut the remaining soul of the flower.

Another ancient demon had fallen. Still, he was able to deal with the flower so easily because the Magic Lord was able to fight it for so long and exhaust a huge portion of its power.

In addition, he left behind one last strike that helped him a lot in taking down the flower.

Still, he was not done. He raised his head, looking at Leysha. Considering Leysha was a spirit transcendence, he could help her so that they could join hands to deal with the last one.

But it looked like it was not necessary after looking at Leyshaʼs situation. So, Andreas turned his head to the side, locking in the demon that was fighting the Water Lord and the Magic Lord.

…

The reason Andreas didnʼt help Leysha was that she had gained the advantage over this demon.

The demon ape had been covered in ice. Although he wasnʼt completely frozen, his physical strength had diminished a lot.

Leysha raised her wand and created an ice field that froze not only the ape but also the surrounding demons.

In fact, the reason she hadnʼt finished this battle was that she focused on the demon army. She had killed at least thirty demons while fighting against this ape.

Her ice element was much more suitable for a wide range area.

But once Andreas came to this battlefield, the situation had changed. It was better for her to fight the ape seriously. This was the chance to eliminate all ancient demons.

Roar! The ape broke free from the ice and slapped her to the ground.

”…” Leysha hurriedly stood up because the ape threw a punch right after, trying to smash her to death.

Bam!

The punch broke the ground and shook the entire area with its power. However, if one took a close look at the exchange earlier, the trajectory of the punch changed slightly.

”!!!” The ape widened its eyes because Leysha actually took that attack with her own hand.

It was an unfair exchange, but Leysha didnʼt mind. She didnʼt mind her arm snapping in a different direction for taking that punch.

”This is not as painful as not being able to meet or help my son for so many years.” Leysha used her other hand to lift up the wand and touched the apeʼs hand with the wandʼs eye. ”Eternal Ice.”

The ice was so powerful that it actually spread right all the way to the shoulder and continued spreading to its entire body.

The ice was deadlier than anything Leysha had produced. It actually started shattering right after, which destroyed the apeʼs arm.

The ape was trying to stop the ice from spreading with its energy, but it was too late. The ice had spread a bit too far. Almost the entire right side of its torso was destroyed.

Then, Leysha formed a huge ice arrow and launched it toward the ape.

Due to the loss of its body, the ape couldnʼt withstand Leyshaʼs power anymore.

It could put its other hand in front, but the ice ended up piercing the hand and stabbing the chest.

The apeʼs body started swaying left and right as its strength was leaving its body.

The ape used one last strike to hurt Leysha, but the latter had predicted this.

”Eternal Frozen World.” Leysha used her ultimate move, freezing everything within one hundred meters.

All demons, including the ape, turned into ice sculptures.

This time, the ape had lost so much strength that it couldnʼt break free from the ice anymore.

So, Leysha shattered the demon ape into pieces.

”I have finally defeated it.” Leysha couldnʼt help but smile. She could finally help her son with this.

With the number of demons she killed on this battlefield, the battle had turned in their favor. As long as they could kill the remaining demons, Noel wouldnʼt have to worry about them anymore. In addition, they might be able to concentrate their power to attack the demon kings to help Noel.

Either way, she had to continue.

”The battle is not over. In that case…” Leyshaʼs eyes shifted her gaze to the ancient demon in the distance. Since it was the only ancient demon left and Andreas was trying to kill it, she might be able to help him to defeat the last ancient demon before annihilating the army.

There was one problem. The battle had lasted long enough, so the soldiers were quite exhausted.

However, the change might occur soon. She first looked back, noticing the cloud of dust that was approaching. It looked like the reinforcement from Old Ru was about to arrive.

Hence, Leysha shifted her focus back to the ancient demon. ”Kill.”

Still, Leysha might have done a lot, but there was something that didnʼt change. The battle that truly mattered was the one between Noel and the two demon kings.

If Noel fell in battle, the two demon kings could overpower anyone, including Anna.
