Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 585: Chapter 326: The Holy War Begins! Calyrex Descends upon Kitakami!

Thinking of this, Naoki immediately began preaching to Carmine and Kieran:

”I wonder if you’ve heard the legend of the King of Bountiful Harvests.”

The siblings were momentarily stunned by the sudden topic change.

Carmine: ”The King of Bountiful Harvests?”

Naoki nodded, immediately becoming the Great Preacher nearby:

”His name is Calyrex, a Pokemon beloved and trusted by the people of Paldea. Next, I will tell you a story about Calyrex.”

From wandering the land riding his loyal steed, to being revered as a king by humans, then to being forgotten by the world, endlessly roaming the icy tundra in loneliness.

Until a millennium later, when the power of Calyrex was awakened, he re-emerged to save a mountain. In gratitude, modern humans built a shrine for him on that mountain, where incense continues to burn.

”Wow, what an incredible Pokemon!” After hearing the story, Carmine was amazed: ”Even more powerful than those three Loyal Three! No, those troublemakers don’t compare to Calyrex!”

Beside her, Kieran was also captivated by a great Pokemon that had once been a king, ruling a kingdom.

But the question is, what does such a Pokemon have to do with Mossui Town?

After a brief shock, Carmine quickly regained her composure, slightly puzzled:

”Uncle Naoki, aren’t you digressing? Isn’t the most important thing right now finding a way to save everyone in the town?”

Naoki continued: ”Fortunately, I am friends with Calyrex, and I can ask him to come over to Porto Marinada Town to help.”

What?!

Growing up in the countryside and having little exposure to the world, the siblings were immediately astounded.

Kieran: ”Naoki-san actually knows such a Pokemon!!!”

Carmine was shocked, covering her mouth: ”Uncle, you’re amazing!”

Naoki: ”...”

Forget it, let the little girl call me whatever she wants!

Getting Calyrex to come over is a very easy thing to do.

Naoki glanced down the mountain, asking: ”Is there a Pokemon Center in town?”

”Yes, it’s on the street behind the Taoye Store!” Carmine quickly replied.

Naoki nodded, then sent the two kids onto Dragonite, while he rode Koraidon, bypassing the people wandering the streets, passing through the purple mist lingering in the air, and landed at the Pokemon Center.

The lights were off inside the Pokemon Center, seemingly hearing the sounds from outside, a faint sound of footsteps came from within the Pokemon Center.

Soon, a crack was opened in the curtain.

Miss Joy peeked through it, saw a Trainer and two children outside, quickly opened the door, and quietly called:

”Come in quickly!”

The group hurriedly took refuge in the Pokemon Center.

Miss Joy observed the situation outside through the window, looking worried:

”Everyone in the town suddenly became very strange...”

While speaking, she closed the curtains and looked at the two children in front of her, softly comforting them:

”Don’t worry, I have just reported this to the Sinnoh League next door by phone, someone will come to help us soon.”

Carmine and Kieran were not afraid at all, they looked at Naoki with anticipation, eager to meet the great King of Bountiful Harvests.

Miss Joy was taken aback by this situation: ”Eh?”

Naoki was observing the environment inside the Pokemon Center and quickly noticed a row of video phones in a corner of the lobby.

Naoki turned to Miss Joy, asking: ”Miss Joy, can I use the video phone here?”

Miss Joy hadn’t figured out what was happening, but she nodded: ”Sure, of course!”

Naoki immediately went to dial the ranch’s number.

Soon, the call was connected, and his sister Indeedee’s face appeared on the screen.

Hearing Naoki’s voice, Alcremie and Glaceon also quickly gathered around.

A group of Pokemon squeezed their heads together, happily watching the screen.

Naoki smiled and greeted everyone, then looked at his sister Indeedee, saying:

”Sister, something happened on my end, and I need to ask Calyrex to come over.”

Hearing this, his sister Indeedee quickly turned to look toward the living room behind her: ”Awwee.” Calyrex was still watching TV there!

Hearing that Naoki needed his help, Calyrex floated over, asking: ”Crown moo gee gee?”

Naoki: ”...” Almost forgot telepathy can’t be used over the internet.

After a brief thought, he succinctly explained what was happening to Calyrex.

”Something happened, there’s a strange Pokemon in this town, using unknown abilities to control all the townspeople, and I can’t track it...”

Calyrex understood, nodding slightly, indicating that he would come over immediately.

Seeing this, Naoki said to his sister Indeedee: ”Sister, take Calyrex to the Pokemon Center in town, and use the Pokeball Transmission Machine there to send Calyrex over.”

”Awwee!” Hearing the urgency in Naoki’s voice, his sister Indeedee’s expression turned serious.

The call ended, and everyone in the ranch sprang into action.

Calyrex’s figure flashed, disappearing from its original spot, then appeared in front of the stable.

Calyrex was quite surprised by Naoki’s sudden request for support.

Because Naoki rarely asks for his help, and he can also sense that the strength of that Koraidon is extremely formidable.
