Not Being a Trainer This Time

Chapter 580: Chapter 324: New Memories, Sudden Change (Part 2)

”What?” Naoki was slightly taken aback.

Yukito explained, ”The mask, Ogerpon’s mask!”

”My ancestors once made four masks for the ghost, but now it seems like only one remains by its side... Huh? This mask seems to be broken?” Yukito observed carefully.

Hearing this, Ogerpon also removed the mask and looked sadly at the Teal Mask in its hand.

Naoki had initially wanted to ask about the whereabouts of the other three masks, but upon hearing this, he changed his question, ”Can that mask be repaired?”

This thing is so important to Ogerpon, carrying its past memories. If it can be repaired, it should be.

”Although my skills aren’t as good as my ancestors’, don’t worry, fixing this mask won’t be a problem!” Yukito said after examining the mask carefully.

”That’s good.” Naoki breathed a sigh of relief.

Yukito: ”I have all the other materials needed for the mask’s repair here, but there’s one crucial material that requires your help.”

”What is it?”

”A crystal shard submerged at the bottom of the Crystal Light Pool,” Yukito said. ”However, the Crystal Light Pool is located at the peak of Ghost Mountain, and on the way, many dangerous Pokemon reside. Reaching there is not easy.”

Ogerpon, upon hearing this, couldn’t help but feel very worried.

Naoki ignored the latter part because to Koraidon and Pawmo, no matter how strong the wild Pokemon were, it wouldn’t be an issue: ”The peak of Ghost Mountain? Got it, I’m heading there now.”

Naoki took out the Poke Ball, recalled Ogerpon, and then turned around without hesitation, mounting Koraidon and heading straight for the peak of Ghost Mountain.

However, halfway there, Ogerpon suddenly came out of the Poke Ball on its own, looking worried: ”Boni...”

Naoki immediately realized Ogerpon’s feelings. He reached out to stroke its head, comforting it, ”It’s okay, don’t worry.”

But Ogerpon still couldn’t be at ease, and after brief hesitation, it decided to stay outside.

Although it wasn’t very good at battling, it could still help if Naoki needed it.

Thus, Naoki and Ogerpon rode Koraidon, flying towards the summit of Ghost Mountain.

Meanwhile, at Yukito’s house.

Yukito looked at the Teal Mask in his hand and said to the curious Carmine and Kieran, ”There are four masks in total, besides the Teal Mask, there are three others.”

”What are they?” Carmine hurriedly asked.

”They are the Blue Wellspring Mask, the Red Hearthflame Mask, and the Gray Cornerstone Mask,” Yukito sighed. ”But these three masks are now kept in the shrine at the Kitakami Center, and the villagers regard them as relics of the Loyal Three Pokemon...”

”Damn it! How could this happen!!!” Carmine gritted her teeth in anger.

Kieran didn’t speak but clenched his fists.

”Sigh, forget it. What’s most important now is helping Ogerpon fix this Teal Mask first.” Yukito let out a sigh, leaving his meal untouched as he focused on repairing the Teal Mask.

After finishing lunch, Carmine and Kieran became increasingly agitated.

They went into town, with Carmine trembling with anger, ”This is too much! Those things belong to Ogerpon!”

Kieran looked towards the direction of the Kitakami Center, tugged on his sister’s sleeve, and summoned the courage to say, ”Sister, let’s go get the masks back for the ghost!”

Upon hearing this, Carmine seemed suddenly inspired and excitedly said, ”That’s right! I didn’t think you’d be so smart, Kieran!”

Carmine looked around, ”At this time, everyone’s having lunch, so the Kitakami Center should be empty. Let’s go! We’ll snatch the masks back for Ogerpon!”

The siblings quickly put together a plan and quietly sneaked into the Kitakami Center halfway up the mountain.

Ghost Mountain Peak.

With Koraidon’s guidance, Naoki avoided the trouble of climbing and arrived directly at the top.

But when he saw the situation at the summit clearly, he was stunned.

A beautiful lake lay quietly at the mountain top, and beneath the calm surface were blocks of crystals emitting dazzling light!

These were clearly crystals only found at the bottom of the Paldea Giant Pit!

Professor Sada mentioned that these crystals contained immense Tera Energy.

At this moment, Naoki suddenly realized how the Slugma earlier had become Terastalized.

But... why would there be Tera from the Paldea Region all the way here in Kitakami on the other side of the planet?

Ogerpon didn’t understand these things. It looked at the shining stones below the lake’s surface, and its mood suddenly became cheerful: ”Boni!”

It could feel that its mask once held this kind of power!

Seeing Ogerpon happy, Naoki thought it was because it enjoyed the beauty of the Crystal Light Pool.

Koraidon landed slowly, and as Naoki dismounted from it, he asked, ”Ogerpon, have you been here before?”

”Boni~”

Ogerpon shook its head and then cheerfully ran to the lakeside, gazing brightly at the beautiful stones at the bottom of the lake.

There were no other humans here, and Ogerpon was very relaxed.

Naoki and Koraidon followed with smiles.

He observed the situation at the lake bottom, pondering how to obtain the crystal shards below.

Looking around, the whole surface surrounding the Crystal Light Pool showed a peculiar white, with some scattered bits of rocks on it.
