Chapter 555: Chapter 315: Competing Dragonite

Dragonite Four: ”Roar!” (I want to catch it too!)

Dragonite Three drooled with greed: ”Roar...” (Today’s little fishes were really delicious! I want more...)

So, early the next morning before dawn, several Dragonites and Dragonairs plunged into the vast blue ocean under the puzzled eyes of their companions.

Every Dragonite is an expert swimmer, moving through the water like underwater torpedoes, swiftly traversing the ocean.

Soon, Dragonite Two emerged from the sea, clutching a large lobster with its claws.

The lobster, sensing danger, frantically flapped its tail, trying to escape.

Dragonite Two knocked it unconscious with a swipe and happily placed it in the Poffin Box, ready to take it to the ranch.

Then, there was a splash on the sea surface.

Dragonite Two turned around and saw Dragonite Four emerge from the water, holding a small, light-blue Pokemon dolphin with a white belly.

It tightly hugged the dolphin with its big pudgy claws and quickly turned to its companions, asking, ”Roar?” (Will Naoki like this?)

Before anyone could answer, the captured Finizen smacked Dragonite Four’s face with its tail, broke free, and angrily used Water Gun against it.

Dragonite Four got sprayed in the face, watching helplessly as the Finizen escaped.

”Roar...”

Forget it, this Pokemon’s personality is too bad, not obedient at all; Naoki definitely won’t like it.

Dragonite Four gave up on Finizen, dove back into the sea, and soon emerged holding an oversized tuna, knocked out by electricity.

It let out a joyful growl: ”Roar!”

Yesterday’s tiny fish and shrimp were too small; they didn’t satisfy their appetite. This big fish will surely fill their bellies!

Seeing Dragonite Four catch such a big fish, Dragonite Two immediately felt the lobster in its claws was less appealing.

It casually tossed the lobster away, dove back into the ocean, and soon re-emerged with a large salmon, looking content and satisfied.

By then, other Dragonites and Dragonairs had caught their own prey.

There were large lobsters, big squids, and a pile of large crabs.

Carrying these big fish and shrimp, the Dragonites drooled as they flew eagerly toward the ranch.

7:25 am, Naoki was milking three Gogoats.

He bottled the fresh goat milk and asked Koraidon and Cyclizar to store it in the milk cellar.

Meanwhile, Dragonite was next to the farm, using Rain Dance as always to help Naoki water the fields.

Just then, the sky reverberated with a series of ”Roar, roar” calls.

Hearing that sound, Naoki knew without looking that the working Dragonites were arriving for their shift.

As usual, he raised his head to greet them.

But when Naoki saw what was in front of him, he froze on the spot.

What is that?!

Each Dragonite and Dragonair carried something.

Two Dragonites held two huge fish with their big claws, while another Dragonite carried two large lobsters.

Even the surrounding Dragonairs had squids and crabs in their tails and mouths, along with two bunches of lush green seaweed.

”Roar~”

Seeing Naoki, the Dragonites showed joyful expressions.

They flew to Naoki and presented the gifts they caught.

Witnessing the Dragonites’ actions, Naoki was completely baffled: ”For me?”

”Roar!” The Dragonairs nodded repeatedly, looking extremely expectant.

The surprise came too suddenly; Naoki was dumbfounded for quite a while.

He lowered his head to look at the seafood carelessly strewn on the grass by the Dragonites. Information about these ingredients also surfaced in his mind.

The leftmost Dragonite brought a fish about one meter long, spindle-shaped, with a silvery-blue back and black spots above the lateral line.

It was [Salmon].

The second Dragonite brought a fish over two meters long, with a sleek, streamlined body and blue dorsal fins.

It was [Bluefin Tuna].

The third Dragonite brought two large lobsters, seemingly still alive, slowly waving their claws.

The remaining Dragonairs offered squid, sardines, blue crabs, seaweed, and small shrimp.

Other Pokemon in the ranch were also drawn to the commotion happening there.

Pawmot and Alcremie all gathered around, shock on their faces upon seeing the tuna, which was many times bigger than them.

”Pawmo?!”

With big eyes looking at him, Dragonites and Dragonairs surrounded Naoki, moving him greatly.

He stepped forward to touch each of their heads, smiling as he said, ”Thank you all, I really love these gifts.”

”Roar~” The working Dragonites felt very happy.

Dragonairs also purred as they encircled Naoki.

Nearby, a Dragonite, having just finished watering, widened its eyes in shock upon seeing this.

It felt a bit jealous and angry.

Because these unruly Dragonites had secretly given gifts to Naoki without inviting it!

Darn! They were surely trying to compete with it for Naoki!

Using gift-giving to catch Naoki’s attention, so that Naoki would like them...
