My Talent Skill Mutated

White flames blazed as his body seemed to be infused with some kind of power.

His eyes turned white. Behind him, four thick, powerful arms materialized.

His aura surged, instantly increasing by a great deal.

”Brother Yu, what do you think?” Ma Xiang looked up with a grin.

”What kind of Superpower is this?” Chen Yu asked, curious.

Ma Xiang retracted his Superpower, and the flames and arms around him vanished.

”This is a B-rank Superpower, Myriad Manifestation. It boosts my strength and allows me to manifest the Myriad Hands. It’s a special-type Superpower.”

Ma Xiang replied.

’A B-rank Superpower... Myriad Manifestation?’

Chen Yu was taken aback.

’This is the first I’ve ever heard of an ability like this.’

’But the Superpowers of the Awakened are bizarre and varied. It’s perfectly normal that there are some I don’t know about.’

’The world is a vast and wondrous place!’

Still, Chen Yu was happy for Ma Xiang for becoming an Awakened.

’He’s an Awakened now, one who has stepped into the Extraordinary Realm.’

’With a B-rank ability, his future prospects won’t be too shabby.’

”Congratulations,” Chen Yu said, smiling at Ma Xiang.

Ma Xiang chuckled sheepishly.

”By the way, how did you awaken your ability?” Chen Yu asked Ma Xiang, his curiosity piqued.

Ma Xiang said, ”It’s a bit of a long story. A few days ago, I ran into my cousin. I went home, had a dream, and when I woke up, I’d awakened my ability.”

Chen Yu: ”...”

’He awakened his ability just from a dream?!’

Chen Yu glanced at Zhuang Qi, then back at Ma Xiang.

’That sounds a little ridiculous!’

’But... it’s also plausible, I guess.’

The ways the Awakened gain their powers are often bizarre and unpredictable.

Some awaken in the face of a life-or-death crisis, while others awaken under different circumstances.

It’s possible to awaken while eating, sleeping, drinking water, or even having sex.

Ma Xiang’s awakening was a bit ridiculous, but it wasn’t outside the realm of possibility.

”Brother Yu, since you’re also at Jingzhou Superpower Academy, we’ll have plenty of chances to work together in the future,” Ma Xiang said to Chen Yu with a smile.

Chen Yu nodded. ”There’ll definitely be chances. By the way, how long have you been here?”

”Just one day. We still have almost a month of the orientation period. We can only team up to earn credits after it’s over.”

Chen Yu gave a slight nod.

’Having another friend here at the Superpower Academy is definitely a good thing.’

’If I get a chance to help him out, I certainly won’t mind.’

”Cousin, you should learn from Junior Brother Chen Yu from now on. Your Superpower has growth potential. If you can get it to A-rank, you’ll be able to join the elite class,” Zhuang Qi said while eating.

Ma Xiang nodded.

”Come on, Brother Yu, let’s toast to our reunion today!”

Ma Xiang raised his glass, and Chen Yu and Zhuang Qi followed suit.

CLINK!

The three of them clinked their glasses and downed their drinks in one go.

...

The meal lasted for two hours before it finally ended.

Back at the academy, Ma Xiang headed toward the regular student area, while Chen Yu and Zhuang Qi walked toward the Elite Student area.

The academy was vast, with beautiful scenery and fresh, clean air.

The two walked side-by-side along a tree-lined path.

”Junior Brother, you’re really something. I heard you completed a very impressive mission.”

Zhuang Qi said as they walked.

Chen Yu shook his head. ”You give me too much credit, Senior Sister. I barely escaped with my life. I was almost a goner.”

Zhuang Qi smiled. ”Junior Brother, you’re being too modest. I heard you single-handedly killed quite a few Level 5 mutant beasts, and even a Level 6 Mutant Beast.”

”It was just luck.”

Zhuang Qi beamed. ”Junior Brother, it’s a fact, so there’s no need to be modest. If you get the chance in the future, you must team up with me.”

”Of course,” Chen Yu agreed with a nod.

Just as the two were walking, a man and a woman approached from a short distance away.

”Hey, Chen Yu, it’s you!”

Hearing someone call his name, Chen Yu turned toward the voice.

’Cai Kun, Meng Li!’

Chen Yu was a bit surprised to see them.

This was the first time he had seen the two of them since enrolling in the Superpower Academy.

Zhuang Qi, who was beside him, watched the pair approach. A flicker of something unreadable passed through her bright eyes. She then turned to Chen Yu. ”Junior Brother, since you’ve run into friends, I’ll be going now. Let’s team up sometime.”

Chen Yu nodded. ”Alright.”

Zhuang Qi departed, and Cai Kun and Meng Li came to stand before Chen Yu.

”Chen Yu, long time no see,” Cai Kun said, stepping forward with a smile.

Chen Yu smiled. ”Long time no see, Senior Brother Cai.”

Meng Li looked at Chen Yu with a complicated expression.

She knew Chen Yu had potential, but she never imagined it would be this immense.

’S-rank Superpower talent!’

’He’s reached the Superpower Peak!’

’In the future, he’ll even step into the Extraordinary Peak!’

’Thinking back to our first meeting and looking at him now... it all feels like a surreal dream.’

”Chen Yu, long time no see.” Suppressing the chaotic thoughts in her mind, Meng Li forced a smile.

”Long time no see,” Chen Yu replied with a smile.

Although his first impression of Meng Li hadn’t been great, his opinion of her had improved after they worked together in the Crane Ridge Abyss.

’It was just some minor friction in the past. I’m not that petty.’

”By the way, I heard you were hospitalized. How are you doing? Are you feeling better?”

Cai Kun asked, looking at him.

Chen Yu replied, ”It was nothing serious. My vitality was just a bit drained, but I’ve already recovered.”

”That’s good to hear. But man, you’re a real beast! I heard from An Ran that you even managed to slay a Level 6 Mutant Beast. Incredible!” Cai Kun said with a thumbs-up, his face full of admiration.

”I barely made it out alive, and it came at a steep price,” Chen Yu sighed.

”You should rest up properly and take care of yourself,” Meng Li chimed in.

’Huh?’

Chen Yu looked at Meng Li.

”Don’t go dying on me. I’m going to catch up to you,” Meng Li added.

”...”

’Now that’s more like it... She’s still the same old Meng Biannu, hasn’t changed a bit!’
