Merging with Demon Spirits

Chapter 746: Chapter 557: Yin Soul (2)

Can a Nightmare restrain a Demon Spirit and have the same effect on a Yin Soul?

”Land of Fallen Gods, is this also your place of demise?”

Lin Feng thought to himself.

At the moment he entered the Land of Fallen Gods, the Nightmare within him became restless.

Since recovering its consciousness, the Nightmare had rarely shown any emotional fluctuation.

”How do we start?” Yun Kai asked from the side.

”Let’s catch one and try it out first.”

Lin Feng said.

In the Land of Fallen Gods, there was nothing else, but Yin Souls were everywhere. They stayed where they were, and soon three Yin Souls sensed their presence, floating towards them rapidly.

Apart from these three Yin Souls, five more were floating towards them from seven or eight hundred meters away, moving quickly and appearing in their sight within a dozen seconds.

”Hiss...”

The Flying Dragon Steed appeared very uneasy, stepping in place and letting out a neigh.

”Thirteen said these ghosts are very dangerous.”

The Little Elf Duck Egg translated.

She was staying inside Dong Yunan’s shirt at the time, only revealing her head, while the Ginseng Baby didn’t dare to lift its head, shaking in fear.

As for Thirteen, it was the number she gave to the Flying Dragon Steed, based on the Avengers Alliance numbers from one to sixteen, marking the time members joined the alliance.

”Ye Xing, go try using your Qi and Blood Power.”

Lin Feng said to Ye Xing.

”Alright.”

Ye Xing responded, stepping forward a few steps to appear in front of a Yin Soul, Qi and Blood Power swirling around his right hand as he reached out to grasp the Yin Soul.

It was a Yin Soul with an adult male’s face, its figure blurred and its appearance indistinguishable.

The Yin Soul didn’t counterattack or evade but allowed Ye Xing’s right hand to touch its body.

”Sizzle sizzle sizzle...”

Like water meeting flame, accompanied by smoke and a sizzling sound, the Yin Soul’s form dissipated a little, obviously taking damage.

Yet it seemed unable to feel pain, instead slowly merging into Ye Xing’s body along his arm.

Ye Xing trembled, quickly saying, ”The Yin Qi is so heavy, I feel like I’m going to freeze stiff.”

Ye Xing raised his hand, his arm covered in a layer of frost, spreading visibly across his body.

”Let me try releasing all of my Qi and Blood Power.”

Ye Xing said, and in the next moment, his enormous Qi and Blood Power burst forth, enveloping him like red mist. The Yin Soul that had almost fully merged into him was gradually forced out, appearing even more illusory.

”Half of my Qi and Blood was consumed.”

When the Yin Soul was forced out, Ye Xing punched, his fist passing through the Yin Soul, but its form remained unchanged.

”Physical attacks are indeed ineffective.”

Ye Xing said, then smiled bitterly, ”With my Qi and Blood, it’s very difficult to kill it, even if I succeed, my Qi and Blood would likely be completely drained.”

And this is just the difficulty of killing it.

Devouring it is far harder than killing.

”You all try using other Soul Skills on the Yin Souls.”

Lin Feng shifted his gaze to others as five or six Yin Souls floated in.

Everyone dismounted, forming groups of three to approach a Yin Soul each, using various Soul Skills to attack the Yin Souls.

Five minutes later, apart from Ye Qiu, everyone else had a look of helplessness on their faces.

Hell Dragon Flame was very effective against Yin Souls, but others’ Soul Skills hardly did any damage.

This meant that when encountering Yin Souls, they could only run away.

Of the seven Yin Souls in total, only one was killed.

It was burned to death by Hell Dragon Flame.

Ye Qiu’s right hand was wrapped in flames, the dark flames burning fiercely. Sensing the terror of Hell Dragon Flame, the surrounding Yin Souls began to fear coming closer but were still reluctant to leave.

”More Yin Souls are approaching.”

Bu Yuanlong reminded.

The noise of the previous experiments had attracted the attention of many Yin Souls, and thirty-four Yin Souls were already around them. Without the intimidation of Hell Dragon Flame, they might have swarmed them already.

A single Yin Soul isn’t scary; it can be resisted with Qi and Blood Power, or one could escape. But if dozens of Yin Souls swarm in, they could instantly consume a person’s life force, freezing the body.

”Damn, more and more are coming.”

Yun Tianqi cursed, feeling a bit nervous being surrounded by Yin Souls.

”Increase the flames.”

Yun Tianqi reminded.

Ye Qiu nodded, Soul Power surged, and black flames appeared in both his palms, rising a meter high.

The Yin Souls retreated further.

”I can only hold for a minute at most.”

Ye Qiu reminded.

Though the Divine Level Soul Skill was powerful, the consumption of Soul Power was equally immense.

”Let me try.”

Lin Feng opened his mouth, a bubble floated out, drifting towards one of the Yin Souls.

With the bubble’s explosion, the Yin Soul trembled, its form appearing more phantasmal.

”Thunder and explosions cause significant damage to Yin Souls, but the commotion is too great, and it can’t be used lightly.”

Lin Feng said. In the next moment, when a Resentful Spirit appeared behind a Yin Soul, the previously calm Yin Soul began to struggle violently.

The group watched this scene dumbfounded.

Is it a ghost fighting another ghost?

After thirty seconds, the Resentful Spirit disappeared, the Yin Soul gradually calming down, its form appearing more illusory.

”The Resentful Spirit has some effect, but it can’t kill the Yin Soul.”

Lin Feng stepped forward, extending his hand to touch the Yin Soul, allowing it to merge into his body.

Everyone held their breath, they knew that Lin Feng was about to begin devouring the Yin Soul.

As the Yin Soul entered his body, an intense cold spread throughout, but Lin Feng could endure it, as his body temperature was already seven to eight degrees lower than normal.

However, when the Yin Soul fully merged into his body, the cold penetrated to the bone, his body gradually numbing, as if it were about to crack.

Lin Feng could sense the restless emotions of the Nightmare in his Soul Sea and its craving emotions.

”With my Qi and Blood, devouring the Yin Soul is simply impossible.”

Lin Feng thought to himself, then closed his eyes.

Moments later, when he opened his eyes, within his originally dark pupils, two dark red vortexes continued to spin, looking extremely malevolent.

An eerie dark red ghostly shadow enveloped Lin Feng entirely, swaying as if it had consciousness, struggling to break free.

At the appearance of this Ghostly Gauze Clothing, a burst of malevolent aura erupted from Lin Feng’s body.

Evil, cold, violent, sending chills down one’s spine.

Feeling this terrifying aura, the Yin Souls originally surrounding the group scattered in all directions, fleeing quickly and disappearing from sight.

The Yin Soul inside Lin Feng was now completely stiff, under the Nightmare’s gaze, the Yin Soul dissolved directly, turning into energy that permeated every corner of Lin Feng’s body, a large portion of which was absorbed by the Nightmare.

Meanwhile, unfamiliar memories flashed rapidly in Lin Feng’s mind like a horse lamp illuminating numerous scenes.

These were fragments of memories from the Yin Soul’s life before.

The most valuable of these memories were insights into power and combat experience.

The Yin Soul turned into energy, thoroughly dissipating.

And after devouring the Yin Soul’s power, a trace of frigid aura still lingered within Lin Feng’s body.

This was the power of the Yin Soul, which could neither be devoured nor expelled from the body.
