Merging with Demon Spirits

Chapter 739: Chapter 552: Walking Right Into the Trap

Under a steep cliff.

Lin Feng and his group were resting, and during their rest, they also summoned the Flying Dragon Steeds.

The Flying Dragon Steeds rely on their innate soul skill, transforming into star mist that attaches to a person’s skin like a tattoo.

Using this soul skill consumes soul power. Although it’s not much, every two or three days, the Flying Dragon Steed still needs to be summoned to replenish soul power and feed.

The pressure emitted by 16 Flying Dragon Steeds kept the surrounding Demon Beasts away.

Lin Feng took out a Spirit Fruit and handed it to the Flying Dragon Steed beside him.

”Hiss...”

The Flying Dragon Steed swallowed it in one gulp, its big round eyes squinting slightly in delight, letting out a joyful whinny.

The Spirit Fruit not only enhances the prowess of Demon Beasts but also benefits their evolution.

The Flying Dragon Steed is a Ninth Tier Demon Beast, also with the potential to evolve into a King Level Demon Beast. Such precious Spirit Fruits were not often consumed.

The Flying Dragon Steed is proud.

Even if captured alive, it would rather die than submit in most situations.

To tame these Flying Dragon Steeds, Lin Feng exhausted all methods. When enticement failed, he could only resort to force.

Most of the soul skills Lin Feng absorbed are of the support type. While they don’t pack much punch in attack, they’re perfect for tormenting.

Using various soul skills in turn, even the most resilient Flying Dragon Steed couldn’t hold out. If death were an option, it would be an end to it, but with two Advanced Therapists present, even dying wasn’t easy.

As long as there’s a breath left, they could bring you back to life.

It’s no exaggeration to say that in Lin Feng’s hands, the Flying Dragon Steeds found no relief in life or death.

No matter how proud a Flying Dragon Steed is, facing such an inescapable situation and with a Little Elf constantly persuading by example, eventually had to give up resisting.

Though the contract was signed, the Flying Dragon Steed still harbored resentment and grievance over its abuse, but after eating seven or eight Spirit Fruits over these past days, the grievances and barriers had already dissipated.

”Whoosh whoosh.”

The fierce wind howled as Lin Feng looked up to see a giant cyan eagle flapping its wings in the sky, rapidly descending towards them.

This giant eagle was the Cyan Thunder Eagle that attacked the Ginseng Baby before.

Lin Feng handed a cyan-red Spirit Fruit to Duck Egg.

Duck Egg, clutching the Spirit Fruit, flapped its wings and appeared before the giant eagle. After a brief communication, it tossed the fruit into the air.

The giant eagle flapped its wings, swallowed the fruit, and then soared into the sky.

Duck Egg flew to Lin Feng’s shoulder and loudly said, ”The giant eagle says there are already over thirty Aliens gathered together, located about three kilometers northeast of us.”

”Hmm.”

Lin Feng responded.

As early as three days ago, they had discovered traces of the Alien Race.

But at that time, there were only twelve people. In just three days, their numbers had tripled, evidently planning to trap them all in one go.

Attempting to besiege them indicates these Aliens have great confidence in their strength.

They must be Ninth Grade experts.

If it were before, Lin Feng would have prudently retreated since there were a few weaker individuals in the alliance, which could lead to casualties in a chaotic battle.

But now that they have Flying Dragon Steed mounts, they can retreat safely despite being outmatched.

Though the Flying Dragon Steeds lack magic series damage and have no long-range attacks, in short-distance rapid assaults, no Ninth Grade should be able to withstand them.

”Everyone, re-call the Flying Dragon Steeds and wait for them to walk into our trap!”

Lin Feng said.

The other party has already discovered them, and they have discovered the other party as well, so neither side could have the element of surprise.

Instead of initiating an attack, it would be better to wait for the other side to come, then catch them off guard with a surprise.

The others nodded, and as the Flying Dragon Steeds shattered into star mist and vanished, the group, led by Lin Feng, flew swiftly northwest.

....

On the other side, in the dense forest, thirty-seven figures gathered together, chatting in groups of threes and twos.

”There are so many of us now, why aren’t we starting?”

One Alien man looked at Haiyu, expressing dissatisfaction.

They had already gathered 37 people but were still not taking action, which to him seemed like a waste of time.

”If we don’t start soon, all the Flying Dragon Steeds will be captured.”

Someone echoed, their tone tinged with a hint of envy.

The Flying Dragon Steed is also a mount he desired, but capturing one alive was not easy.

They don’t have a Ginseng Baby!

Even if they caught one, it would be hard to tame.

In the Divine Martial Continent, fewer than thirty people possess the mount, which shows the difficulty of taming a Flying Dragon Steed.

”Just these few days, we’ve witnessed the Avengers Alliance capture five Flying Dragon Steeds alive; if we don’t act soon, each of them will have one.”

A burly middle-aged man remarked.

With a Flying Dragon Steed mount, even doubling their numbers, it would be hard to besiege the Avengers Alliance.

”In just a few days, Flying Dragon Steeds aren’t that easy to tame!”

Haiyu said calmly, standing up to look in the direction of Lin Feng and his group: ”Let’s wait a bit longer for Tal and the others to arrive, then take action.”

”If Tal doesn’t come, are we not going to act?”

Someone questioned sarcastically.

They came here to hunt down the Avengers Alliance, for the Ginseng Baby, not as Haiyu’s subordinates.

They don’t have to obey Haiyu’s orders.

Haiyu frowned, about to speak when his gaze suddenly shifted to an open space.

As the air rippled slightly, a slender young man appeared out of nowhere in front of everyone and said, ”Lin Feng and his group have begun to retreat.”

Hearing this, everyone’s faces changed, becoming somewhat anxious.
