I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 2089: 24.350 Sixth Violet Star - Pei Jin and Ouroboros

The second beast wave under the command of the Evil Beast God, Lord Ouroboros and his summoner, Young master Pei Xiu was once again defeated by Long Juedi and the others. However, this time it was Long Juedi and the two commanders who realized that this time’s beast wave is a lot easier than the last time when the Gigantic beasts had come out. Though in this beast wave, the beasts who gained troll-like regeneration still exist, due to the beast race’s hazardous battle formation they were discoordinated making it easier for others to capture them and move them away.

There is also a fact that their commanders never once issue any commands during the battle making the losses of the beast race larger than the last beast wave. Moreover, they seem to no longer care about the situation and just flew away after watching their side lose. What left Long Juedi and others bewildered is that the summoner, Pei Jin, didn’t even lose his temper.

After the wave of the beast, Pei Jin who had returned to the barren land’s sanctuaries with the Evil Beast God, Ouroboros had sent the other beast kings to handle the aftermath of the battle. Ever since they had taken over, the deaths of the beast on their side had increased a lot. This was because there were no field commanders as the black lion had died in the last beast wave.

Evil Beast God Ouroboros said to the Beast Kings, ”In the final wave those who wanted to come out to fight can all come. The next wave will be the final resistance of the Beast race against the world.”

Howling and screams were heard all over the barren land. There is no need to keep holding back as the two intentionally lose big in the last beast wave just to make the beast kings and some hidden beast emperor make their own decision. A decision that affected the whole beast race. This means the last beast wave would be the largest. Compared to the dwelling number of the other races living at the borders, the beast race is the most populated compared to the past human population.

Lord Ouroboros said, ”Alright. You are all dismissed. You can have a month to make the final preparations. A month later, we will fight for the final battle.”

It was only after that announcement that the beast kings and beast emperors decided to head back to their own place. A human mansion can be found within this sanctuary which they had taken over after the original Beast Kings had disappeared. These former beast kings had signed a contract with their world’s heroine. Now that even the young heroine had grown up, these beast kings had most likely gotten stronger as well.

Inside the mansion, Lord Ouroboros and Pei Jin sat together in the living room. This is the first time after living in the barren land that the two had stayed together in one place. Normally, Pei Jin would lock himself in his own laboratory.

”Xiao Jin, is there something wrong?” The Evil Beast God Ouroboros asked.

Pei Jin didn’t know how to explain things to the Evil Beast God. After all, when he tries to say it directly, he is unable to form words as if something was preventing him from saying it.

”What if I told you that I know our ending? Would you believe me, Ou?” Pei Jin asked.

He looks directly at the eyes of the Evil Beast God. The human form of the Evil Beast God isn’t completely human like Beast God Mo Minkong. In the first place, before he was a beast, this world considered him as an evil being which makes his appearance close to that of a devil being. In this world, black dragons, especially those who had eight heads, are considered evil things. That’s why despite entering reincarnation multiple times he didn’t gain any clues about the future unlike the core characters of this world like the protagonist, heroine and the villain.

However, unlike the aborigines of this world, Ouroboros’s soul is originally an outsider. The kind of outsider that is from beyond the cosmos itself. That’s why some special abilities and situations like future sight, reincarnation, and etc. It wasn’t that surprising to him.

The Evil Beast God said, ”Xiao Jin, I believe. I will believe whatever you say.”

”If... If I told you... that in the future. When this world is ending... you will meet your lord only to get killed by him in the end, would you believe me?” Young master Pei Jin asked.

He kept on staring at Lord Ouroboros’ eyes while holding the man’s hand trembling, making him anxious. Pei Jin didn’t want that nightmare to become reality. That’s why he can only indirectly say things like this. However, what Pei Jin didn’t know was that these words were enough for the Evil Beast God to realize what he wanted to say.

Lord Ouroboros mumbles, ”I will die? Will Lord Zhuge kill me in the future?”

”I... I don’t know. I saw it in the dream. When the world cracked and was breaking you approached one man and this person had harmed you. This is an event that would happen before the final wave of beasts ended,” said Pei Jin as he grabs the Evil Beast God’s hands while trembling. It shows how much that nightmare affected him.

Lord Ouroboros said, ”Don’t be afraid. If it would happen after the final war then there is still some time.” On the other hand, his thoughts are: ’What is the world trying to do? Why did it tell Xiao Jin about my future? Did it want to change its destined ending?’

’Yes, it might want to change. After all, once the world is gone, so is its ego.’

The Evil Beast God asked, ”Should we run away, Xiao Jin?”

”But the voice said that I must be defeated only then would we be given a chance of survival. You only need to avoid that lord of yours,” said Pei Jin. ”Though I don’t know who the owner of that voice is, for some reason I think I heard that voice before. But... I couldn’t remember where.”

Sigh~

”As you wish, I will just avoid my lord. However, to completely avoid him we must leave this world before he comes out. Right now only a part of his soul is awake and he is the one causing all the chaos at the alliance city right now. Those conflicting divinities might have been caused by gods fighting,” said the Evil Beast God Ouroboros.

Pei Jin asked, ”What should we do then? It seems I have to die to complete the mission.”

”Don’t worry. I will not allow you to die,” said Lord Ouroboros. ”Since it’s mandatory to complete the plot of this world, I just have to take you away afterwards. Don’t be afraid. I will not allow you to die. Not this time that I can stand by your side.”

As if he heard something unexpected, Pei Jin looked at the Evil Beast God. It seems that he wasn’t the only one who had been reborn in this world. His summoned beast had as well. But in his previous life, except for living together with Ouroboros as an egg, there is no other connection. He realized that even though Ouroboros was only an egg that time, he had heard everything he told him before when he spent his time talking with the egg.

”You remember our past lives?!” Pei Jin exclaimed in shock.

The Evil Beast God Ouroboros pulled him into a hug and said, ”In our past lives, I even failed to come out of the egg. In this life, you have focused on me even when you are young and I was finally born. This time you will never be alone anymore. Even if the whole world becomes your enemy I will be by your side.”

Pei Jin who had been reborn multiple times had only wanted things. He wanted someone to be his friend, his family and his lover. No matter which among these three, he was willing to accept him. But as the destined villain in this world, he was someone meant to be alone. Meant to be looked down upon, meant to be defeated by the protagonist. The protagonist who had everything in this world which he never had.

But in this life it is different, he is no longer alone. Even though he cannot run away from his destiny, at the very least, he will no longer stand against the world without someone by his side. He has Ouroboros in this life and if he can prevent the death of Ouroboros, he is willing to exchange his life for it.

Meanwhile back to the ancient forest...

Despite attacking the human marshal in a group , the fact that they couldn’t truly kill Marshal Gu Ying, made the three gods frustrated. Actually, it wasn’t only them who could no longer hold back but even Marshal Gu Ying had enough of the current situation. Who would be happy if you are being beaten by people but unable to kill all of them? As a being who used to stand above his own men, the soul inside Marshal Gu Ying would have never expected that one day in his life, some beings he looked down as ants would get away to what he wanted.

Just thinking of this made him insane in anger. ”I had enough, since this body is already dying, dragging you down with me shouldn’t be a problem!”

Marshal Gu Ying was prepared to kill this body of his just to punish these three gods who dared to go against him. The Spirit God, the Tiger God and the Ninetailed Fox Goddess were already so spent with clashing with this monster who couldn’t die. Now that this monster is no longer holding back, it’s hard for the three of them to contend against this evil existence with their current strength. They can only watch as the human marshal who now looks no different from an undead monster with half of his face only has a skeleton left yet still alive.

”Prepare to die!” The human marshal shouted.
