I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 2073: 24.334 Sixth Violet Star - Winning the First Clash

As the planned ambush of Pei Jin failed with the black lion beast’s death, Long Juedi successfully defended the border walls in this clash. Pei Jin, despite his disbelief, couldn’t accept that he had failed to overwhelm his most hated rival, Long Juedi in this clash. However, the facts are before him. His five specially chosen beasts injected with Gigantification potion had all been beheaded and not even one was able to touch the walls at the borders.

In his disbelief, ”Impossible! ...This is impossible! How can it be... No! This is not true! How can you easily kill my beasts!” Pei Jin exclaimed as he was about to confront Long Juedi who was standing at a distance looking at him coldly.

Just as he was about to approach Long Juedi, Lord Ouroboros in his human form grabbed Pei Jin by his waist and prevented him from approaching Long Juedis. His dragon wings opened proudly on his back with his hands and feet covered in black dragon scales even though his eyes were inhuman and had vertical irises.

Pei Jin struggles but under Lord Ouroboros’s arms he can’t free himself.

”Big brother, let me go! I want to kill him! Kill him with my own hands. Like how he killed you and I in our previous life! I will never forgive him! Long Juedi must die!” Pei Jin said.

The Evil Beast God, Ouroboros carried him by his shoulders ignoring Pei Jin’s tantrums and glancing coldly at Long Juedi and his team.

”You’ve won this round,” said Lord Ouroboros as he growled. With his dragon roar echoing in the whole Barren Land, the gathered beasts all stopped their forwards marching the retreat.

It seems that the Evil Beast God had commanded them to retreat this time. Their defeat this time was quite heavy. The wave of ordinary beasts were stopped by the Beast God Mo Minkong and his mate, Lord Huzi, the Beastmen leader. The five giant beasts were among the most important experimental subjects of Pei Jin. Now that they’ve died all the resources that were poured on these beasts were now all wasted. They needed to prepare more for the next wave of beasts they would lead.

On the other hand, the people of the borders, seeing that the Evil Beast God Lord Ouroboros and his summoner, Pei Jin were retreating was enough for them to be happy. After all, the attack this time is different from the other waves of beasts. When they saw those gigantic beasts with the size of the building approaching the walls, they thought that everything was over, especially since the two commanders, Lord Mo Minkong and Lord Huzi, had retreated.

Who would have thought that everything was a plan and the one the two commanders had chosen to lead this time is a young man named Long Juedi and his newly made team. There is no way they wouldn’t recognize those young soldiers within this group. Most of these young soldiers were positioned to the rear as logistic soldiers yet under the command of Long Juedi, they were all able defeat those giant beasts without someone among their group dying.

Long Juedi was silent the whole time as if thinking of something. Even when Haerin had approached him, he had not reacted much.

”Gege, are you alright? Are you wounded?” Haerin asked worriedly while looking all over his body for injuries. Only when she saw nothing unusual did she sigh in relief.

”What is wrong with you? Why are you dazed, Gege?” Haerin asked.

Long Juedi finally noticed Haerin and heard her question, he responded, ”Is there something wrong with those two? In our previous life, this Lord Ouroboros wasn’t born at all. We had destroyed him as an egg. However, in this life he is born and not only that. I heard Pei Jin mentioned previous life.”

A shocked expression appeared on Haerin’s face and said, ”Don’t tell me! Is Pei Jin reborn like us?”

”Not only reborn. He had most likely been reborn much earlier than us. If not for that he wouldn’t have been able to hatch the Evil Beast God in this timeline. With a variable like the Evil Beast God, our mission is harder than before,” said Long Juedi.

Haerin thought for a moment and said, ”Actually, maybe those two weren’t the only variables. In our previous life, I did not have brothers, parents and there were no grandparents like Grandpa Hunluan and Grandpa An. This timeline must be completely different from what we had experienced. It’s just that these people were on our side.”

”So are you saying that if the Evil Beast God’s existence is Pei Jin’s cheat, ours is your family members?” Long Juedi asked as if he couldn’t believe this kind of realization.

However, the more he thought of the details the more likely Haerin’s words were. After all, he already had an inkling that Haerin’s cousin brothers, Prince Hei and Prince Ye were not ordinary existences.

”You must be right. Actually, we can ask your uncles about this. They were their children, how come they never seemed to be worried that their sons had suddenly disappeared together with the two seniors, Senior Hunluan and Senior An,” Long Juedi said.

Haerin nodded her head as she agreed to the words of Long Juedi.

”Alright. Let’s go back and make another plan. The next wave of beasts would be harder to kill than these giants,” Haerin said as she supported Long Juedi back behind the walls.

Most of their friends had long retreated to have their wounds treated inside. As for the older soldiers, they all saluted to Long Juedi and their group. They had all seen the strength these children had possessed. Moreover, they knew that they were all former students of the Beast Taming Academy. But in this battle not all of them had even summoned their beasts and elemental spirits. This means what they had just witnessed weren’t the full strength of these youngsters.

Behind the walls, though there are some young soldiers who were injured none of them were truly badly wounded. At the very least, none of these wounds were fatal enough to put their lives in danger. This victory is different from the past victories. Even though the two commanders were the most powerful on the borders, that didn’t mean that all of the soldiers under them were elites. Moreover, the war zone had always been unpredictable. There is no way the commanders can keep an eye to every single one of them. That’s why there are death counts within their group.

There is also a feeling that they are being a burden to their two commanders. It was this pressure that allowed them to make mistakes and get injured on the battlefield. Though the two commanders always said that they weren’t a burden, they’ve seen how many times the two had gotten hurt just for saving a few of them and this led to a thorn in their hearts.

But the situation in the group of Long Juedi is different. Though they are young, which of them isn’t a genius of their race. Their leader Long Juedi is a Beast Tamer who is said to have signed a contract to rare elemental beast kings with emperor bloodline. There is also the fact that he is a direct descendant of the most famous marshal of all times. The Long Clan is said to be the Bloodline of Marshals. If not for Long Juedi being young he would most likely be chosen as the marshal instead of the evil one seated in that position right now.

Maybe they should have let Long Juedi take that position, if they did, the human race wouldn’t have allowed two traitors to sit on that throne and cause the human race to become the enemy of all other races. The human soldiers at the borders were thankful to the two commanders, if not for them and their old comrades in the border, the discrimination against human soldiers would have spread in the borders as well.

After the fact that the alliance city was now ruined and the one who caused it was the current human marshal, Gu Ying, the human soldiers in the borders had fallen in despair. If not for the acceptance and understanding of their comrades in the borders, they would most likely kill themselves as atonement. So the victory they had right now can be said a notch ahead of the beast race. That’s why everyone at the borders were celebrating this victory which didn’t cause anyone’s lives.

While everyone else was busy celebrating the current victory, the two commanders were in their office watching the situation at the open field with relaxed expressions. However, despite this victory, news from the ancient forest reported by the two systems, Zhi Yang and Zhi Yue, had been reported to them.

Zhi Yang and Zhi Yue appeared before the couple. The two of them knew that these two were direct subordinates of their children and they rarely came out though they knew that they were always by their sides like the hidden guards.

”There is something that you must know. It’s about the ancient forest,” Zhi Yang said.

The moment he said this, the relaxed expression on Mo Minkong and Huzi had faded and turned into a stern one almost immediately.

Beast God Mo Minkong asked, ”Something happened in the forest?”

”The barrier had been broken,” said Zhi Yue.
