I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 2071: 24.332 Sixth Violet Star - Begging for Forgiveness

Suddenly seeing the human soldiers who were trying to kill some of them before now falling on their knees to apologize made the residents of the ancient forest dumbfounded and vigilant. In the eyes of the other races, the humans only look weak but they were never weak. Or else, why would that evil marshal choose to control them and use them against all races? Seeing how the former kingdoms of both the dwarven and elven race had fallen, it was hard for them to trust the human race all over again. After all, what would they do if this was all just an act? They would be the one to suffer the most if they forgive this race.

Thinking of this, no one speaks up for the human soldiers who are now kneeling on the ground. Even the Lord Guardian Vega and the Lord Prophet didn’t have much reaction seeing the human race act like this. Though it was indeed true that the humans were controlled, it can never erase the fact that they were the ones who had almost exterminated two races and destroyed the alliance city which seems to be the hope of the fertile lands.

The Lord Prophet spoke, ”To forgive you is not something we can decide. But seeing you sober, is the control of Marshal Gu Ying no longer on you?”

”Yes. Maybe because he had disappeared and his control over us had suddenly disappeared. But it’s unknown if this control would be restored once he had returned,” General Lei Shen said.

The Lord Guardian said, ”No. It won’t get restored. After all, he might need someone to take control over you. A touch, giving food anything can be a medium. The more contact is made the stronger his control is. He intentionally stayed at the military compound with you as the restrain would be his the longer he stays near you. Now that he has been sent somewhere faraway, all of his previous connections must be cut off.”

Upon hearing this General Lei Shen and the soldiers who were with him looked delighted by this. However, thinking of their current race’s state and their numbers, there is nothing to be happy about. After all, they had not only become the common enemy of the other races.

”We would like to seek revenge. Only the soldiers are wrong and the ones who went to the battlefield to fight and caused two races to fall. But the ordinary humans in the military compound are different from ours. Maybe because they are weak, that the marshal didn’t waste time controlling them.”

”We are hopeless about the children as well. He had used the children only to target the beastmen race who are weak to the young regardless of their races. He knows this weakness and exploits it.”

”Also, he had killed all the parents of the children. So those children you have saved are now all orphans.”

”Please give us a chance. We wanted to fight to avenge our families. Most of our families are already gone.”

This time even the human soldiers were unable to hold back their tears. Only when the control over them is gone do they recall how we were put under his control. Their families were kidnapped by the Marshal asking them to come over and take control over them, as for their families they were killed almost immediately after they had fallen.

”There is no reason for us to return. We can fight to death for you if it’s needed. Please use us!”

”We are willing to fight for death!”

”Let us fight for you. Even if you send us to our death with your plans we are all willing.”

”But please... Please give those who were innocent a chance to live.”

Under the lead of General Lei Shen, he and all the human soldiers behind him had once again kowtowed. Though the Lord Guardian and the Lord Prophet didn’t speak right away. They can understand the feelings these soldiers are feeling right now. This is not because they do not see their lives as important. They decided to do this because they no longer have any hesitation and only the hatred in their hearts towards the human marshal remains that keep them from killing themselves through guilt. If not for the fact that if they died that the ordinary humans who were still alive would suffer, they would have punished themselves for the actions they were forced to take.

The other races like the dwarfs and elves who were listening to the happenings outside their house felt that they could accept these humans at this moment. Though forgiveness cannot be given at this moment, at the very least the same hatred they have for the Marshal was the same. They had all lost a lot and they were both seeking a chance for revenge and survival by begging the Beastmen race.

Seeing the other people who only looked at these human soldiers with hate before, to suddenly come out and walk towards them with calm expression, the Lord Guardian and the Lord Prophet seem to only be able to watch.

The Lord Guardian said, ”Seeing that you have gotten the approval of the other races, you may enter the tribe’s land and stay inside the barrier. You and your group have another mission for you.”

”Please speak of it,” General Lei Shen said.

Lord Prophet said, ”There are also humans who lived in this forest even before the war had descended to this land. Among them is someone who is rightful to be the leader of your still lives. The remnant of the Long Clan.”

General Lei Shen and the other soldiers didn’t expect that the bloodline of their old leader would still exist all this time. The last time they heard about the Long Clan was when they heard that Long Juedi, the only son and grandson of the two former leaders of their race, had entered the Beast Taming Academy. That was the last time they’ve heard about the Long clan. Now they truly didn’t expect that Long Juedi is still alive. It is true that the human race needs a new leader, but none of the current humans from the military compound can be accepted by the other two races, the dwarfs and elves. As their hate for the human race is deeper than anyone thought.

On the other hand, Long Juedi, Long Kian and Long Teng, who had been living with the beastmen before the fall of the city had happened, had been living with the beastmen even before the other two races sought protection under the beastmen. For them, the Long Clan and those friends who chose to live with them in this ancient forest are a completely different kind of person from the humans under Marshal Gu Ying. If the remnant human can be led by someone from the Long Clan, the other races would be able to accept them.

”Young master Juedi is still alive?! How about Lord Kian? His son, Young master Teng?” General Lei Shen asked with urgency. It seems they were truly delighted that the bloodline of the rightful leader still exists. ”Can I ask where they are right now? Is it possible to meet them!?”

”Long Juedi and Long Teng had headed to the borders to support the Leaders of the beastmen race to defend the borders. As for Long Kian, he is at the tribe helping with logistics of our tribe. If you wish to see him then it is not impossible,” the Lord Guardian said.

General Lei Shen was truly delighted by this news. Only to hear the content of their mission.

”Thank you. Thank you so much,” General Lei Shen said.

The Lord Prophet had spoken, ”I have seen the future. To avoid the danger here we send most of the children to the borders. Your mission is to help them with what they need and protect them. As well as escort them on their return to this forest.”

”T-Then... Can we win?” A human soldier said. At least that’s how they thought of it when they heard the words of the Prophet.

The reputation of the Lord Prophet is well known even for the other races and he had protected their lands multiple times. So if the Lord Prophet said that they need to escort back their young master Long from the borders to the ancient forest meant that they were destined to win in the war against the beast race who had fallen under the lead the Evil Beast God Ouroboros and his contractor, Pei Jin, this devil child.

”Yes. We are destined to win but the future is unpredictable. No one will know when it would favor our side or the other. However, to avoid the destruction of this world we must do something. Your duty is to protect Long Juedi. As long as he is alive, the beast race will never be able to win, much less step foot on our lands!” Prophet Heri said.

Upon hearing this declaration from the Lord Prophet everyone who had heard it seemed delighted. It became a source of hope for everyone who used to be despairing because of the wars and events that caused the destruction of their homes and made their future bleak.
