I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1660 22.46 Third Red Star - Unknown Connection

The World Eater took a while to reminisce about his past life and finally recall the young couple looking at him. He stared at the God of Void and the God of Destruction. Looking at them made him remember his past life with Hunluan. The only difference is that the God of Void, for some reason, doesnʼt go mad even if he devours something. He has complete control over himself and his power. This power includes the skill of gluttony.

Hei Anjing asked, ”Whatʼs wrong?”

”Child, how is that husband of yours no longer getting crazy even after using gluttony as his power? Gluttony is a fierce ability that makes its wielder mad. Like what happened to me in my previous life. Right now, I can sense a powerful gluttony in him, even though he looks so sane, which is unbelievable,” said the World Eater, An Shizhe.

Ye Xiajie and his wife look at one another and finally reveal an imprint of marriage the two of them share. Under the eyes of the World Eater, he noticed a black snowflake under the eyes of the young couple and immediately understood everything. These two tied their lives together. The divine laws accepted that and granted the couple absolute resistance to negativity. This includes insanity, poison, and death. The two will remain immortal unless both are killed.

The World Eater observed the insignia between the God of Void and the God of Destruction. He noticed that the rules used in it werenʼt only the origin of laws but also primordial laws from which the dao had been created. The one who can create this law is not only a genius but also an absolute being whose strength might be equal to that of Hunluan, who was said to be the strongest among the Ancient Gods.

”This is amazing that someone was able to integrate the Origin, Chaos and Ancient laws. The marriage imprint is it? Should I also get one?” mumbles An Shizhe.

Hei Anjing said, ”Old man, in the trial of marriage there are no loopholes. You can get married multiple times, but the Origin, Chaos, and Ancient Laws must accept your marriage. A blessing would appear if your marriage was approved as a real one. Only when your marriage is blessed will it be considered a real marriage.”

”You can get married as many times as you wish. But to get the blessing of the laws, it had to be with your true love. Also, failing the Trial of Marriage meant death, with your soul perishing. Thatʼs why it cannot be faked or removed,” said the God of Void, Ye Xiajie.

Hei Anjing said, ”If you are going to do it, do it when you meet Hunluan. You who can only love one person in your life will definitely not be denied by the Laws even if you consider yourself the worst existence in the cosmos. Moreover, your partner loves you the same way, or else how can you come back to life?”

”As expected, Hunluan asked someone to save his and my origin soul, didnʼt he?” asked the World Eater, An Shizhe, while looking at Hei Anjing.

Hei Anjing said, ”What are you looking at me for, old man? You came to take my husband, right? Take him. Leave now, so he can return faster.”

In the end, he teleported the World Eater and the God of Void. The two appeared outside the barrier around the territory of the general, and the two men could only look at each other. Ye Xiajie looked at An Shizhe, who was looking a bit unfriendly as he was also kicked out of the house because of this man.

Pfft~

”Donʼt look at me like that, brat! Itʼs your wife that kicked you out. I had nothing to do with it,” said An Shizhe as he looked at Ye Xiajie with a playful expression.

Tsk!

The World Eater said, ”Isnʼt he afraid of me devouring you?”

”Hmp! If you eat me, my wife will go crazy. Are you willing to fight him?” asked the God of Void.

”Nevermind. Your wife looks so vengeful regardless of him looking that he doesnʼt care about anything. Especially those who can smile when their eyes arenʼt, is bad news. My other half is also the same kind,” An Shizhe said.

Ye Xiajie asked, ”Does that mean you are a henpecked husband too?”

”Well, yeah… Hm? Brat, you…!” The World Eater, An Shizhe, finally noticed that the brat was playing with him, and he honestly answered for some reason. Before he could complain, Ye Xiajie took his leave, pretending he didnʼt hear anything.

The God of Void said, ”Letʼs go. I need to be home before dinner.”

”You better be thankful to me. Iʼm sharing the resources to get stronger with you. Also teach you how to kill ancient gods. Those good for nothing Old gods are almost immortal. But as long as you target the origin of their souls, they are no different from any other gods. Their souls are just a bit harder to chew. Like eating a beef jerky,” said An Shizhe.

Ye Xiajie said, ”I donʼt think souls can be compared to beef jerky.”

”What are you complaining about? There is almost nothing in existence we canʼt devour!” retorted the World Eater as the two men flew away somewhere.

Unknown to them, something had recognized the World Eater and followed him to this territory. Seeing him leave with the supposed general in this world, well, at least in a vessel only, made this being sneaking around take this as an opportunity to find a way to sneak inside and absorb all life within this territory.

It was a homeless-looking man, wearing ragged clothing as if to blend with the world. Whoever is the ancient soul inside this body seems to have a bit of a brain. Unlike the others who took over vessels within the noble clans, he chose to mix with the ordinary people to hide its existence. Moreover, the homeless can practically appear anywhere.

Even if An Shizhe noticed him, he would think that he is just a beggar looking for death somewhere to end his life. Itʼs because of this reason that An Shizhe and even Ye Xiajie didnʼt mind his presence wandering in the forest near the territory of the General and just took their leave.

As the night gets deeper and when most people are asleep, a homeless man approaches the gates of the generalʼs mansion. The Chief Warden, who was sleeping beside his lover, Yun Ming, had suddenly opened his eyes and was about to get up. Yun Ming was about to do so as well. But the voice of the Mermaid King resounds in their heads, saying,

ʼDo not come out.ʼ

The couple looked at one another and both disappeared from the room. While in front of the generalʼs mansionʼs gates, the homeless man was touching the barrier made of water and licking his lips.

”This is the power of the Sea Clan. Similar to the soul fragment of Lord Chaosʼ avatar in this world. Is there a god hiding inside of this? Will I finally be able to absorb enough and regain my real body? Hehe~” murmured the homeless man.

A cold yet playful voice was heard from behind him. The homeless man with an ancient soul instantly turns around only to meet a gorgeous pair of silver eyes staring at him from the darkness. Those pairs of eyes gave him chills as he noticed that the whole areaʼs temperature had dropped drastically.

The homeless manʼs thoughts at this moment are, ʼSilver eyes with crimson linings. Where have I seen these kinds of eyes before? Why do I feel like I am forgetting something important? ʼ

”Have you forgotten the last mercy Iʼve given you? Iʼve split all of you and locked your soul up. Gave you time to repent. However, that itself was useless. Isnʼt it?~”

The same mischievous tone, a playful yet cold demeanor, and a pair of silver eyes that looked like a bright, glowing moon yet were filled with madness and distortion itself. He only knows one being that was born with these redeeming features. However, this is a being that shouldnʼt be born, as they killed him before he grew up. A being born from chaos but was nurtured by darkness and all negativity in the world. Born after devouring one universe with the blood of the strongest Ancient God and the blood of the greatest menace in existence.

Within the darkness, the ethereal figure of the God of Void with long, light brown hair and a pair of silver eyes appeared. Hei Anjing used his God form and appeared before the homeless.

The ancient soul in the homeless manʼs body screams, ”Impossible!!? You are dead. Your soul had been split and your body had been burned. How can you still be alive!? There is no way you would be alive. Even Lord Chaos is incapable of bringing you back to life. Why?! Why are you appearing before us again!?”

”Hm~ I think you found the wrong person. I am the God of Destruction, Hei Anjing.”

The God of Destruction looked confused as he heard the accusation of the ancient soul. As for whether he didnʼt know or was just pretending, only Hei Anjing knows the answer.

Hei Anjing said, ”You came here looking for me, right? Because my soul and aura are similar to the Ancient God of Chaos.”

”N-No… No, of course your soul and aura are similar. After all, you and the Lord Chaos as well as that menace are…!! Pufft!”

The homeless man looked at the gorgeous man with a smile, yet cold eyes stared at him. His hand stabbed through the manʼs body and seemed to have grabbed something from within. Blood splashes a bit on Hei Anjingʼs face. However, instead of looking tainted, he looked even more attractive.

”That is something you cannot say. A forgotten truth no one should know about. Didnʼt you bury the truth that day?~” said Hei Anjing.

The Ancient soul reached out a trembling hand, trying to touch the God of Destructionʼs face and said, ”We didnʼt… mean to… kill you… Iʼm…sorry~”

Hei Anjing summoned Juedi and cut apart not only the soul but also the body into countless pieces until it disappeared into extremely tiny cuts and no longer existed. Slightly leaning on the Juedi, Hei Anjing looked at the distant moon and mumbled,

”There is no need to apologize. After all, except for the Origin and the End, whom I cannot kill because of that person, all other Ancient Gods must no longer exist.”

Madness flashes from within the silver eyes of the God of Destruction. A calm and controlled madness that wouldnʼt even lose to the madness that made the former World Eater insane. For some reason, this madness was under the control of Hei Anjing and the source of his hidden strength.
