I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1658 22.44 Third Red Star - Deserted City

Middle of the night, in some small noble clan...

The police had gathered in the area and sealed the whole place. The small mansion was now deprived of any visitors, and men carrying guns entered the mansion littered with countless dead bodies with no injuries. Just a soulless husk was left behind of the victims. Worse of all, their deaths seem natural if not for the fact that they were covered with the smell of something rotting or dead.

The police had gathered and looked around. The deaths were clean except for the scent. So most officers in the area were wearing something to cover their noses as they investigated the venue.

”How many does this make this week?”

”The third one. Moreover, there is a different culprit in each case.”

”This is causing me headaches every day. Before one is solved, another case comes out.”

”This is endless!”

”True. Just what the hell are they doing when the sea monsters are watching our asses?”

”Plus, we all have to worry about mental riots nowadays. Who would have thought that the little mermaids would all disappear after the mermaid king declares it?”

”Not only that, the general and even his majesty had abdicated. The human race was forced to stand up on their own while the territory of the former general declared independence. The current king tried to put them back in place but suffered after the former general fought back.”

”If not for others offending the mermaid king, instead of ignoring us like this, they would have saved us instead.”

”Stop whining. What is done is done! For now, how about getting back to work?”

”Yes Sir!”

Somewhere near the last mansion with a homicide case, in the dark forest overlooking the house, a young man with dull eyes and an annoyed situation noticed in the house where he just finished eating. His eyes were ferocious, as if a beast within him was greatly irritated, making his mood unstable. If one can see through their body and soul right now, they will be able to realize that the soul and the body donʼt match at all.

Tsk!

”Who the hell knew about our existence? Because of that, itʼs getting harder to mix in the crowd!!!”

”I cannot even devour those useless mortals properly.”

”If only this weak body can kill all of you, this deity doesnʼt need to hide at all!!”

”I need to change my body. With someone with higher standing!”

After watching the police raid the mansion this unknown man used to live in, he left and blended with the darkness before someone else noticed that he was there and disappeared on the spot. A few hours after he left, the police had arrived and noticed his footprints.

”There are footprints!”

”Dammit! He was watching all along! Making a fool of us!”

Homicide cases had boomed in the main city ever since the leaders had been replaced. No one was there to give the people of the federation a sense of security, making most of them choose to just stay inside their houses. Except for those who had no money and had to work, the whole city looked like a deserted one.

{Flash News: The main city now looks deserted. No one dares to come out due to fear of those unknown individuals causing homicides anywhere.}

{Where is the justice? Who will be there to protect us? Can we even survive this?}

This was reported in the news, and those in the general mansion were currently watching it. There are two mermaids, one former king and one system in human form, playing Mahjong in the living while surrounded by snacks and drinks. On the other hand, their lovers were busying themselves in the kitchen and serving the ones in the living room. As for the former young lieutenant, he stood at the side with Zhi Yang serving some food from the kitchen.

Hei Anjing commented, ”Before asking others to protect you, you should know how to protect yourself. The moment you keep on depending on others, you will never be able to stand on your own.”

”But Jingjing, is there no way to kill these ancient souls?” asked His Majesty Nokto.

Warden Yun Ming said, ”Only holy elements or Lord Juedy can kill them. Souls which are full of resentment cannot be reasoned with.”

”Lord Hei, please give me a bamboo tile,” whispered Zhi Yue.

Former king Nokto noticed the little one who was trying to cheat, ”Xiao Yue, no cheating!”

Tsk!

Nokto pinched the silly little moonʼs cheeks, who dared to click his tongue on him.

”Did I just hear you click your tongue, Silly one?”

”Hurts~ Ouchie. You stupid rabbit! Let go!” said Zhi Yue.

The former rabbit beastman, Tutu, played with the little oneʼs cheeks and said, ”Who are you calling a rabbit? You are a rabbit, and your whole family is a rabbit!”

”Iʼm not lying!” shouted Zhi Yang.

”RON! I will win again! Hehehe~” said Hei Anjing, making the two childish men look in the direction of the mermaid king and look like they were cheated.

”IMPOSSIBLE! YOU CHEATED!” Nokto and Zhi Yang said collectively.

Hei Anjing reached out for his frappe and took a sip. ”I can only be considered cheating if you saw it. Did you see it?”

”N-No~” The two sore losers responded.

Hei Anjing said, ”I had enough of Mahjong. Letʼs play poker! Letʼs eat your snacks! If I lose, I will listen to one of your requests. How about it?”

”Letʼs go!” The two silly ones were once again scheming to play with the God of Destruction.

At this moment, the men cooking in the kitchen have come out to bring the dishes theyʼve made.

The former general, Ye Xiajie, said, ”Baby, no more playing. Itʼs time for lunch.”

”Did they eat too many snacks?” asked the Chief Warden.

Yun Ming said, ”No. I handled the amount well. They should still be able to eat lunch.”

”Reene, clean up the table,” said former royal knight Xion.

As for former knight Wolfred, he ignored the card and placed the roasted turkey in his hand on the table with a bang.

”Ah! My cards! AʼLang, you.” The little rabbit finally took a bite.

Hiss~

”Wait. Wait, I will help you clean the table. Stop biting! I am covered in sweat, Tutu!” said the former royal knight, Wolfred.

While everyone was so relaxed arranging the lunch on the table, Lieutenant Shaka couldnʼt help but worry as he watched the screen playing the news report. The homicide, the fear of the people of the federation, and the looming danger from the sea. He wanted to do something about it, but unfortunately, his strength wasnʼt enough.

But inside this room, there is a former general who is also the strongest man in the federation, his colonel, his lover who is also the king of the mermaids, a high-ranked mermaid who serves the mermaid king, the former human king, and his two royal knights, as well as two unknown young men who appeared out of nowhere. It can be said that this small table in the living room had gathered the strongest force in the federation.

Yun Ming noticed him in daze and said, ”Sirius, what are you doing? Itʼs time to eat.” As for Zhi Yang, who stood beside him, he already sat beside Zhi Yue and calmly passed the plates around.

The former young lieutenant finally moved his eyes on the screen and stuttered, ”Y-Yes!”

Only then did he join the group around the table as they started eating. As for his mother, Madam Sheena, after seeing the house designated for her son, she chose to remain with them and no longer remain in the mansion. She is more comfortable living with the other parents and family of the other soldier than in the mansion where their superiors lived.

While eating, Sirius von Shaka asked, ”Sirs, are we not going to make a move? Donʼt the people need us?”

Everyone turned silent at this question and all moved their gaze on the God of Destruction. Clearly, in this group the one with the highest authority is not the former general, Ye Xiajie, but his wife, the mermaid king, Lord Hei Anjing. Even the former king from the royal family, Nokto Augustus, seems to be seeking the answer from this person, and for some reason no one else has made a decision and is waiting for Hei Anjing to speak.

Hei Anjing said, ”Do you want to save them? Child, no one is stopping you from doing so. You can leave with your mother, join the military, and resume your duties. We wonʼt be stopping you. However, you cannot ask my husband or my friend and not even my subordinates to waste their lives for the people who donʼt deserve it.”

”If I am not with the general and just the plain mermaid king who kills all those who harm the little mermaids, would you believe me?”

No answer is also an answer.

This question of the mermaid king rendered the young lieutenant speechless. He knew in his heart that if he didnʼt meet the Mermaid King in the first place, he would only see him as a monster from the sea and, like everyone else, the enemy of the human race. The only reason he could trust him was because he knew that the one who saved the general was this person.

The mermaid king said, ”See. How the humans see us, little mermaids will remain the same. They will never treat us as equals and were even treated as tools. Once we show our strength and our ability to morph into a human, you will fear us and treat us like monsters.”

”For your information, the only reason I didnʼt become your enemy was because of this man,” said Hei Anjing, who grabbed his husbandʼs collar and pulled him over. The general looked proud and was even smiling as he said these words.

”If not for him, I would be like those sea monsters killing all the humans in this world and be freed,” said the king of mermaids.
