I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1077: 17.4 Fourth Violet Star - Ordinary studentsʼ Classes

The Rosegard Clan was having a happy dinner banquet, especially since the family had finally gathered as one. Silvan von Rosegard was particularly attached to his elder brother.

Every time he accompanies his family and brother like this, the guilt and regrets he accumulated in his previous life fade away in his heart. Just seeing them happy and free satisfied and relaxed him. He wished that this happiness could last forever.

Stephen von Rosegard asked, ”Silvie, I heard you will be awakening soon. How is it? What type do you think you would awaken?”

”A Mediator, I think? I was told that mental qi is stronger and before I awakened I had at least reached the minimum threshold for it.” Silvan von Rosegard said.

His elder brother and family were overjoyed to learn of his impending awakening. Even though they knew their youngest would one day awaken as a warrior, they had watched him make all the necessary preparations for his dreams. He wished for their beloved child to achieve his goal and be happy in the future.

Stephen von Rosegard said, ”Thatʼs good. It is better to have a goal. If your mental abilities truly awakened and you will most likely end up becoming a Mediator. Arenʼt you happy? Once you awaken as one the second prince will definitely be delighted. Donʼt you know how much he was pushing His Majesty for you to officially become his betrothed? The second prince truly loves you.”

Silvan von Rosegard was taken aback when he heard the Royal Palaceʼs exclusive news. After living his first life, he learned what itʼs like to be betrayed by your own cousin, abandoned by your own fiance, watch your family suffer as a result of you, and witness the gruesome death of your own brother as a result of your folly. His entire body shook as he remembered all of those unwanted things.

Silvan chose not to tell anyone about his rebirth because he didnʼt want to be mistaken for a lunatic. Instead, he chooses to avoid his fiance. As long as they are separated, he will be forgotten, just as his fiance never visited him after the annulment of their engagement was completed. Since they were children, he had been madly in love with Christopher Klein von Imperlian.

He was his sweetheart and the only man he cared about. But such abandonment in their previous life broke his heart, and he couldnʼt put his trust in a man who could so carelessly throw away his heart. So, in this second life, he abandoned his love in favor of protecting his family. Thatʼs why he stopped writing his fiancee letters. His usual routine of making his life revolves solely around that manʼs life has already come to an end. He wanted to protect his family this time.

Killing Megan Shelleyʼs secret was the first step. He wanted to hear the news of that green tea bitchʼs death. That was supposed to be the only good news he is waiting for today after being embarrassed at the Grand Dukeʼs Palace. Who would have thought that the result would be otherwise what he had expected?

Daddy Rosegard asked, ”By the way, Silvie, did you not go to school? Megan was looking for you all morning. He went to class alone this morning. Would he be alright going home at such a late time?”

”Donʼt worry, Dad. I will call his communicator after dinner!” Silvan von Rosegard said. He acted like the cousins were close as ever but in reality, he already killed that green tea bitch who continuously put his family in danger.

He expected a call from the school regarding the death of that man, but he didnʼt expect Mommy Rosegard to say, ”Donʼt worry about Megan. He called this afternoon saying that he chooses to stay in the dorms. Maybe he made new friends, which is good.”

Silvan von Rosegard couldnʼt believe what he had just heard and was speechless as to how his mother had received a call from a man who was supposed to be dead.

”Mom! Is it really Megan who called you!? Not someone else!?” Silvan von Rosegard asked urgently.

Mommy Rosegard replied, ”Y-Yes... Itʼs a call directly from his communicator.”

”Is there something wrong, Silvie?” Stephen von Rosegard asked worriedly at his younger Brotherʼs sudden outburst.

After calming down, Silvan von Rosegard responded, ”Big Brother, Iʼm alright. I was just surprised that Megan chose to go in the dorms but didnʼt even tell me about it.”

”Do you want to enter the dorms too, Silvie?” asked his elder brother.

Silvan von Rosegard shook his head and said, ”No, I wanted to accompany Mom and Dad and also wait for my big brother at home.”

”Okay. Letʼs go as you wish, Silvie.” Stephen von Rosegard said with a doting smile on his face.

When his parents and older brother are not looking, his gentle exterior is completely shattered. His determination to murder Megan Shelley for the second time is stronger than it was the first time. He truly wanted Megan Shelley to be gone for good, but he had no idea that the soul in his cousinʼs body was no longer the Megan Shelley he knew, but a stranger who had nothing to do with him.

Morning Classes

Ordinary Studentʼs Building

At First Military Imperial School

All students are required to return to their classes as soon as the first bell in the school rings. In this building full of ordinary students, each of them carried a pot of plants or flowers in their arms. Plants of various kinds grow on the studentsʼ arms. There are some herbs, but they are only sprouts. Some flower plants, such as those in the pots of Jace Green and Yara von Chrysalis. Some were unlucky, and their plants died unexpectedly. The final types of students were all depressed because they didnʼt expect their plants to die overnight.

Jace Green saw some of their classmates trying to plant new ones on the spot which was not allowed and most of these guys were from the group of guys whose plants died overnight.

”Yara, look at them. Their plants only have a branch left. Did they just plant that branch directly?” Jace Green said, covering his mouth, eyes blue-green irises filled with mirth and some traces of tears at the corner of his eyes. He looks like he would laugh in a boisterous manner in just a minute.

Yara von Chrysalis maintained her expressionless expression but continued to look in the direction his friend had just pointed a finger. He also saw a fully-bloomed plant that resembled a tree branch rather than a young plant sprout.

”Thatʼs just a tree branch planted directly after cutting from the tree. It wouldnʼt grow and would dry up on its own.”

Pfft!

”You thought so too? Haha~ I know whatʼs wrong with him using that. Did he think our professor is blind?”

”Heʼll get a zero score.” Yara von Chrysalis said straight to the point. He also glanced at his friendʼs plant and commented, ”Your plant almost died too. There is no need to laugh.”

”Youʼre so cruel, Yara~. There is no need to tell the truth!” Jace Green said as he hugged his dull rose plant.

Light touched the closed rosebud of Yara von Chrysalisʼ friendʼs plant. As if energized, the rose bud slowly opened and fully bloomed in front of his friendʼs eyes. With his mouth open, Jace Green, who had witnessed such a miraculous scene, looked at his rose plant and Yara von Chrysalisʼ magical hand.

Jace Green was shocked, ”What the...!? Yara, are you an elemental user?! Plant Ability User?”

”Iʼm not.” Yara von Chrysalis denied his assumptions right away and added, ”I am just good at taking care of plants.”

As the professor approached their side to check on the progress of their plant, he turned around and stopped paying attention to his friendʼs annoying blabbermouth. As expected, Yara von Chrysalis received the highest score, followed by Jace Green, whose plant was saved at the last minute by Yara. Meanwhile, those who faked their plants or whose plants died unexpectedly received harsh reprimands. They were here to train to be farmers in the future. If they canʼt even care for a small plant, thereʼs no reason for them to continue studying agriculture.

Farming is considered the hardest and highest-paid job in this futuristic world, after warriors. This is due to the fact that food is required even by warriors. Even if there is a nutrient solution, no one would call drinking such disgusting stuff eating. Even though it has flavors, it still tastes muddy. Thatʼs why, even if they werenʼt good at fighting, most ordinary students wanted to be farmers. Because not everyone dared to join the warriors on the front lines.

Jace Green and Yara von Chrysalis returned their plants to their original locations before proceeding to their next class, Potion Making. Making potions is also an important job.

A single potion is worth a few million dollars. Unfortunately, it is difficult to successfully create a potion of high purity. Yara von Chrysalis and Jace Green were also seated at the same table. Because the latter was too chatty and the former was too quiet, the teacher allowed them to sit together.

The Apothecary (Potion Making) class was held in a school laboratory. Each student is given a set of basic Potion Making tools. The professor was currently describing each tool and its applications. Yara von Chrysalis looked behind her and noticed that Jace Green, in particular, took this class seriously.

Yara von Chrysalis didnʼt have to say anything for his questions to be heard. Jace Green, who had noticed his gaze, looked at him with a questioning expression. He knew that his friend is interested in why he is taking this class seriously.

Jace Green said, ”There is no need to look at me that weirdly. I came to this school to specifically learn about potions. As you know I am a commoner, I came to this place as a scholarship student. My mother is sick and needs a lot of options to continue her treatment. Even though the school provided her basic medication while I am in school, Iʼm still worried it wouldnʼt be enough. So... I need to learn potion-making seriously to cure my mother.”

”I see... You can do it. Just donʼt pressure yourself.” Yara von Chrysalis said.

He was not good with words and didnʼt know whether these words he had spoken were enough comfort. Of course, Jace Green noticed and laughed at his friendʼs innocence.

Jace Green was smiling, ”Thank you, Yara. I shall do my best!”

Unbeknownst to them, a few people were watching them from a hidden room in the laboratory. The first is Dean Frey von Gregory, who was tasked by the Grand Master with searching for his wifeʼs soul fragment, and the second is a person from the Crown Princeʼs side who was tasked with keeping an eye on Jace Green on his orders.

Dean Frey von Gregory glances at the man observing Jace Green in the hidden room and realizes he has no good plans for the students. It was his responsibility as Dean of First Military Imperial School to protect the students. At least on the surface, as he has yet to locate Lord Heiʼs incarnation.

Dean Frey von Gregory spoke, ”You are the Crown Prince person. Why are you targeting Student Jace Green? If you fail to give me a reasonable answer, I shall destroy your mind!”

Sneered!

”Mediators think too big of themselves. You canʼt even protect yourself without your Adjudicator!” The man tried to harm Dean Frey von Gregory as he immediately summoned a quantum beast which is a gorilla.

Frey von Gregory shook his head. It was against the law to use Quantum Beast against ordinary people and Mediators in the Imperium. But this Crown Princeʼs henchman openly breaks the rule in front of him. He truly despises him. Frey von Gregory summoned his white snake just as the Gorilla jumped on him, greatly enhancing his Mental Abilities. Qi clashes between Frey von Gregory and the intruder during their fight.
