His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1494: Chapter 420: Hiding Things Will Be Punished (Part 2)

Mu Zihao gave him instructions again.

”Mm!”

Mu Yichen agreed as he glanced at his watch, guessing that Mrs. Mu should be awake, and stood up, ”I’ll head upstairs first.”

Feng Fanghua had been sitting quietly without saying anything, barely moving, until her son mentioned going upstairs. She lifted her gaze to look at his face, unable to hold back a low hum, thinking he was surely going up to see his wife.

”Let’s not dwell on this matter!”

Mu Zihao looked at his father and said.

”Humph! You sure have a broad mind! If they tell you not to worry, you really won’t worry, huh? You should be more concerned about your son!”

Upon hearing his son’s words, the old man wasn’t pleased and reminded him.

”Exactly! Now Qin Mu isn’t even going to the studio, it’s obvious this little problem is giving them headaches. How can we not intervene?”

Feng Fanghua joined in after hearing that.

Mu Zihao raised his hand to rub his brow, ”Fine, then let’s intervene!”

Even though he didn’t know what exactly to intervene about, at this moment, with both the old man and his wife against him, he really didn’t dare to say anything too lightly.

But Mu Yichen, after opening the room door, leaned against it and looked inside.

Qin Mu wasn’t in the room, the bed was neatly made, she must have gone to freshen up.

For some reason, he couldn’t help but smile, then walked towards the bathroom.

Sure enough, she was brushing her teeth, using that toothpaste he disliked.

”Where did you go?”

With toothpaste in her mouth, Qin Mu looked at the figure that appeared in the mirror, then turned her gaze to the door to ask.

”Dad knows what happened at the doorstep yesterday afternoon. He called me down for a chat, and also informed me that your dad is aware too, asking me to give him a call.”

”Mm! Then go ahead and call him!”

Qin Mu finished rinsing her mouth, responding to Mu Yichen.

”Why don’t you call?”

He leaned against the door, arms crossed, looking playfully at his wife who hadn’t put on makeup yet and asked.

”I’m too lazy to explain to him.”

In fact, she didn’t know how to start, even though they’re father and daughter, and she would fulfill her daughter’s duties, she’s not good at communicating.

Their past made it impossible for them to have heart-to-heart conversations like typical father and daughter, but how could Qin Mu easily speak the truth? A simple ’too lazy to explain’ suffices to dismiss Mr. Mu.

Of course, Mu Yichen knew everything and didn’t make it difficult for her, instead, he grabbed his phone to call Qin Haiming.

Qin Mu turned her head to watch him call her father, suddenly smiling playfully like a little girl.

Many times, she needed someone to do things for her, and when she was relaxed, she’d have such a childish expression.

Qin Mu gently wiped her face in the bathroom, listening to the man’s deep voice outside, feeling as if her entire heart was filled with sweetness.

Despite his usual cold remarks, and his sharp tongue at times, now, he was truly helping her.

It wasn’t until Mu Yichen finished the call that Qin Mu came out, quietly sneaking behind him to hug him.

With her slim and small arms, resembling those of an underage girl.

Mu Yichen lowered his head, looking at her hands on his chest, he couldn’t help but chuckle lightly, ”Touched already?”

”Mm!”

Qin Mu responded childishly, then looked up, resting her chin against his back, her beautiful big eyes could only see half of his profile, but it was enough for her to imagine his entire handsome face.

Just as Mu Yichen was about to speak to her, his phone rang again, he glanced at it, his expression changed slightly, then answered, ”Yes?”

”Mm! I got it! Keep an eye on him! Don’t worry about the media!”

Mu Yichen suddenly became serious, Qin Mu turned to look at him, feeling a bit worried, ”What’s wrong?”

Mu Yichen put down the phone, turned to gaze at her anxious expression, and gently brushed the stray fringe from her face behind her ear, ”Hangzi placed a listening device in Wang Xuewu’s car. Wang Xuewu contacted the media, and now he’s heading to your father’s place.”

Upon hearing that, Qin Mu couldn’t help but feel tense immediately, ”He actually dares to find my dad!”

Qin Mu was so angry she clenched her fists, her words squeezed out through gritted teeth, very weak, yet filled with fierce determination.

Clearly, Qin Haiming was her Achilles heel! Someone no one could threaten!

”Don’t worry, Hangzi and the others are following him, your dad won’t be in danger!”

”If anything happens to my dad, I’ll personally stab him!”

”Then I’ll go to jail for you!”

Seeing her suddenly so irrational, Mu Yichen helplessly chuckled and said to her.
