His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1476: Chapter 415: An Impulsive Gift (Part 2)

Zhao Huai looked somewhat disappointed when he said this.

Qin Mu couldn’t help but ask curiously, ”Are there any handsome guys?”

”Of course, saying the PR department relies on good looks is not an exaggeration. Every one of them has a refined face, regardless of gender.”

Zhao Huai explained again, very sincerely.

After hearing this, Qin Mu was quite interested and really wanted to see those handsome faces.

”But Brother Yichen didn’t ask me to take you to that floor!”

Zhao Huai explained again.

After all, walking through one floor takes more than half an hour; Mu Yichen just wanted her to stroll around casually, and this meeting would end soon.

”Why do we need his permission? Let’s sneak over!”

Qin Mu grinned mischievously.

”You’re thinking too beautifully. If Brother Yichen finds out, I can’t show my face anymore. Besides, you’re so familiar with the big shots in showbiz; haven’t you seen all kinds of handsome faces? Like Li Yu, way better than anyone in our office building.”

”Is that so?”

”Of course! Plus, people in the PR department generally have a strong sense of ambition, not suitable for a novice like you.”

Qin Mu...

When Zhao Huai spoke to her, it always felt like he was talking to a child, which made Qin Mu look at him with dissatisfaction. Zhao Huai glanced back after feeling her stare but didn’t quite understand what her gaze meant.

”What’s wrong?”

”Just feel like you’re not as great as I imagined!”

”Why?”

Zhao Huai suddenly stopped walking, turned to her, and questioned very seriously.

”Why? Am I a novice?”

You should know that even Mu Yichen wouldn’t say this.

Of course, Mu Yichen wouldn’t scold her, but he did love to call her a silly woman, or a dumb woman, or a fool...

Qin Mu stopped her train of thought because there was no harm in not comparing.

”You’re not happy being called a novice? Tell me, besides working under Jian Yan, have you worked anywhere else?”

”Of course not! I’ve always been his apprentice, then became my own boss when I returned to Rongcheng!”

”Exactly! You’ve only focused on your design, with Jian Yan watching over you in Paris and Yichen and your father protecting you in Rongcheng. Who would dare mess with you? So, you might think you’ve experienced a lot, but to those in the PR department, it’s just ordinary stuff. They’re always strategizing with customers to secure the best interests for the company.”

Zhao Huai seriously explained as they made their way down to the next floor.

Listening to him, Qin Mu suddenly felt convinced and her temper eased!

The two were chatting as they walked, and they met a woman in professional attire in the corridor, who smiled and greeted Zhao Huai, ”Hello, Brother Zhao! Did you get a new girlfriend again?”

The girl was about to leave but then turned back, looked at Zhao Huai and Qin Mu, and suddenly said, ”This one seems much smarter.”

Zhao Huai...

Qin Mu...

”This is our boss’s lady!”

Zhao Huai was a bit upset that someone said Xiaomei wasn’t smart enough, so he usually could chat casually, but now his expression turned a bit serious.

The girl’s expression exaggerated a bit, then seriously looked at Qin Mu before awkwardly bowing her head, ”Sorry, I didn’t recognize you!”

Qin Mu just chuckled lightly, ”Zhao Huai, do you change girlfriends often?”

The part that stood out to Qin Mu was ’again’.

Zhao Huai...

”Huh? No!”

The girl was taken aback, instinctively looking at Zhao Huai, who turned slightly, back to Qin Mu, shaking his hand, and the girl immediately denied it with a smile.

Qin Mu glanced at Zhao Huai and then said to the girl, ”If you ever find out he’s fooling around with girlfriends, make sure to tell me, and I’ll reward you greatly!”

Qin Mu smiled slightly, and after finishing her words, she turned and walked away.

Zhao Huai held his breath and fiercely glared at the girl before catching up, ”You’re taking her joking seriously!”

”You don’t need to explain that to me. But if someday Xiaomei gets wronged by you, I’ll tell you, Zhao Huai, even though you’re a few years older than me, I’ll still give you trouble.”

”Got it! Got it! I also know Xiaomei has you to care for her, and I’m happy for her!”

Zhao Huai happily accompanied her along.

Qin Mu, however, thought, no matter what nice words you say now, I’m not buying it.

But their office building was too big, and Qin Mu got tired after a while, so she said to Zhao Huai, ”Don’t you have a tea restaurant? Take me there to sit for a bit.”

”Alright! Brother Yichen should finish his meeting soon. We’ll have lunch over there!”
