His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1473: Chapter 414: Gift (Part 4)

After the person finished speaking, they ran off, leaving Qin Mu standing there, slightly relieved. She then looked around at her colleagues, smiling gratefully at them.

”Sorry!”

She truly felt sorry for letting her colleagues witness such a thing and worry for her.

However, everyone didn’t mind, they were just worried about her getting hurt.

Xiaomei drove Qin Mu to buy a ring, followed by two black cars, all of which were Qin Mu’s bodyguards.

Xiaomei bragged while driving, ”You know, our little car isn’t worth as much as those two behind us. If I had known, we would’ve just taken their car—safer and more convenient, don’t you think?”

Qin Mu, flipping through her phone in the passenger seat, said softly, ”Yeah, right? Then next time, you should take their car! But there are four people in each of their cars, where do you think you’ll sit once you get in?”

”Huh?”

Xiaomei was taken aback.

”They wouldn’t dare mess with you; they all call Zhao Huai Zhao Bro.”

”Uh! You scared the life out of me!”

Xiaomei finally relaxed after hearing Qin Mu’s explanation.

Qin Mu smiled slightly, lifted her eyes, and saw they were about to reach the mall.

”Do you think we’ll get a discount shopping here?”

Xiaomei asked her.

”Love doesn’t do discounts, so when you’re buying something as precious as a ring, try not to ask for a discount!”

”Uh!”

Xiaomei was stunned again, as the car slowly parked in the parking lot. Under the blazing sun, they walked in, while the two cars parked opposite, with two men stepping out and casually following them inside.

Qin Mu had been here twice before when Fu Huan visited her but she had never bought anything here.

”Sis, will they tell Zhao Huai I came to buy a ring? I wanted to surprise him!”

Inside, Xiaomei whispered in Qin Mu’s ear, noticing the men still following them.

Qin Mu turned to look at them, then told her, ”Go say something.”

As Qin Mu said this, she stood beside Xiaomei. They didn’t mean to approach, but seeing them expecting a conversation, they walked over.

”Ma’am!”

The men nodded, cautious.

”Yeah! Don’t inform Zhao Huai about Xiaomei buying a ring!”

Qin Mu agreed, smiling as she told them.

”Yes!”

The men nodded. They had indeed planned on telling Zhao Huai, even teasing a bit about it.

Who’d have thought the girl Zhao Bro found would be so adorable?

Actually, they didn’t know Xiaomei was buying a ring for Zhao Huai, merely guessing it was for herself, thus not understanding the need for secrecy.

Qin Mu and Xiaomei went inside to shop; the two men each held a cup of hot orange juice bought by Xiaomei, saying they worked too hard, so she treated them.

Yet, the sight of two grown men holding hot orange juice in the mall...

They just wanted to finish quickly to avoid more odd stares.

At the counter, Xiaomei and Qin Mu were approached by a staff member, ”Ladies, how can I assist you?”

Qin Mu didn’t speak, just looked at Xiaomei.

”I want to buy a men’s ring!”

As Xiaomei said this, she couldn’t resist glancing back at the handsome bodyguards a few meters away.

The staff member was curious why Xiaomei spoke so softly and secretively, but still promptly said, ”Alright! I’ll recommend some styles that are quite popular right now!”

”Which one should I choose for a proposal though?”

Xiaomei glanced at the rings, unsure of the difference, which made her inadvertently furrow her brows.

The two handsome bodyguards seemed to understand why they couldn’t inform Zhao Huai about Xiaomei buying a ring; it was a proposal ring. The girl certainly had courage, as they couldn’t help but look at Xiaomei with admiration.

”What price range are you looking at?”

The staff member asked again.

”Hmm...”

Xiaomei thought, not too expensive but not too cheap either. Those tens or hundreds of thousands ones were unaffordable, but too cheap would seem insincere, so she settled for five figures. The staff member then took her elsewhere to see more, and seeing Xiaomei was engrossed, Qin Mu went to a nearby watch counter.

Suddenly she wanted to buy Mu Yichen a gift!

After all, everyone loves to buy gifts for their partners, but she seems to have bought fewer gifts.

She felt she knew Mu Yichen’s taste quite well.

So she chose a pair of couple watches.

They’d look great worn out together, hmm, she also wanted to post a moment to let all her friends know they had a pair of couple watches, sharing their love.

After buying the ring, Xiaomei clutched her chest, ”My heart, it’s really in agony now!”

Qin Mu turned her head, ”Why’s it in agony?”

”Over thirty thousand!”

”Were you planning to let their offspring use your savings?”

Qin Mu chuckled, questioning her.

She knew better than anyone how much Xiaomei had earned over the years.

The important thing was, while in Rongcheng, their studio mates spent on food and drinks, with little need for clothes expenditures, and collectively covered housing costs, not needing much money.

So, Xiaomei definitely had savings, Qin Mu was sure of this.

”Hehe! I do plan to save for their offspring!”

Xiaomei laughed, saying money was precious and she had to save it for emergencies.

Still, buying the ring for Zhao Huai was quite sincere.

”I’m heading to Mu’s office, what about you?”

They paused at the car, thinking whether she should go find Zhao Huai, as she wasn’t planning to propose today.

Xiaomei pondered, she wanted to see Zhao Huai, but not with the ring, still unsure about how to propose.

”Then you go back first, I’ll take a cab.”

Qin Mu told Xiaomei.

”Alright, but you could just use their car.”

Xiaomei pointed to the two cars opposite.

Just then, the bodyguards who had been following them came over, ”Ma’am, if you’re going to see the boss, please follow us!”

Indeed, it was safest for Qin Mu to use their car now, and this way, they wouldn’t worry as much.

Qin Mu was charmed by their muscular build, turned to Xiaomei, ”See you later! Remember to calm down and don’t forget you’re still working!”

”Aww, okay, okay, such a nag. If I say you’re nagging, will you guys hit me?”

Xiaomei suddenly covered her mouth, nervously looking at them.

They chuckled, ”If you weren’t joking...”

”I’m joking, I’m joking!”

Xiaomei said quickly and ran off, Qin Mu sighed helplessly, ”Let’s go then!”

Upon reaching Mu Yichen’s office building, they didn’t follow inside. The inside staff warmly greeted her, and Qin Mu nodded back, exchanging greetings.

At the elevator door, she directly took the executive elevator and, when turning around inside, happened to bump into Qiao Yi returning from outside, so they went up together.

Qiao Yi noticed the exquisite bag Qin Mu held, couldn’t help but ask, ”What’s the brand of your bag?”

”Hmm?”

Qin Mu gave him a puzzled look.

”I want to buy one for Xi Meng, her birthday is in a few days!”

Qiao Yi explained.

Qin Mu quickly told him, thinking he had seen the two watches inside her bag.
