His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1460: Chapter 411: Mu Yichen, They All Dislike Me! (2)

The old man’s face suddenly fell: ”No more exercise, no more! Starting tomorrow, I’ll go out to work out!”

Mu Zihao...

Butler...

At breakfast, Mu Yichen and Qin Mu came downstairs one after the other. Mu Yichen walked ahead, and Qin Mu, having just shaped her eyebrows, was a minute slower coming down.

When the elders looked up and saw Mu Yichen alone, their hearts immediately jumped to their throats.

”Where’s your wife?”

Mu Zihao immediately asked.

”She’s right behind!”

Mu Yichen slightly turned his body aside, and Qin Mu cheerfully approached: ”I’m here! Good morning, Grandpa, good morning, Mom and Dad! Good morning, you two little rascals! What were you laughing about in the yard earlier? Laughing so loudly!”

The old man...

Mu Zihao...

Feng Fanghua couldn’t help but laugh: ”Just playing around, hurry up and sit down for breakfast!”

Seeing that the two of them were fine, the family was relieved, though the old man didn’t smile the whole meal and kept a stern face.

After Qin Mu finished eating and put down her spoon, she looked up at Grandpa: ”Grandpa, why haven’t you said anything this morning?”

”Nothing much to say. I’m going for a stroll in the park later, you’re going that way, right? Take me along.”

The old man kept his head down, eating, and after swallowing a bite of green onion pancake, he spoke to Qin Mu.

”Sure!”

Qin Mu was still a bit puzzled, but seeing Mu Zihao also silent, and Feng Fanghua giving her a look to say less, Qin Mu instinctively looked at Mu Yichen, who also seemed clueless, curiously watching the father and son ahead.

The sunshine outside was very bright, Qin Mu drove the old man past the beach, and it was smooth sailing all the way.

Qin Mu later found out the old man was a bit upset about having a bit of a belly.

So on the way, Qin Mu told him: ”Grandpa, that little belly of yours, I hadn’t even noticed before, okay? Besides, as long as you exercise a little, eat a bit less at dinner, and go for a walk, it’ll be gone in less than two months.”

”Really?”

The old man was taken aback, barely able to believe his granddaughter-in-law’s words.

”Of course, it’s true! Just trust my word, starting tonight I’ll supervise you! I guarantee that within two months, your little belly will disappear.”

Hearing Qin Mu’s words, the old man was happy, then said to her: ”That stinky boy, your father-in-law, dared to disdain my belly. Hmph! When I had a great figure back in the day, he wasn’t even born yet!”

Qin Mu...

The old man realized he might have said something wrong, thought about it, and added: ”He forgot that I had a great figure until last year.”

”Actually, to put it another way, having a bit of a belly also brings an aura of prosperity, as long as it doesn’t affect your health by being overweight. Anyway, I think you look great, and Dad’s figure is good, too. When Mu Yichen reaches your age, I hope he’s just like you.”

Qin Mu found it hard to imagine Mu Yichen aging.

His aura was so strong that it always seemed he would stay just the way he is.

”That kid, I’m not boasting, Mumu, your choice is impeccable. My grandson isn’t one in a million, he’s one of a kind among all the people of China, the best!”

The old man raised his thumb, showing pride in his grandson. Qin Mu watched via the rear-view mirror and couldn’t help but smile widely.

Mu Yichen really is great!

As Qin Mu drove past those places, it felt as if the scenery was renewed, as if every leaf was fresh, despite it being late autumn, and the pale colors seemed newly polished.

At the entrance to the park, two comfortably dressed old men were standing, waiting for their old man.

Qin Mu unbuckled her seatbelt, got out to open the car door, and helped him out from inside.

”You two arrived early!”

The old man looked up slightly and said.

Qin Mu accompanied him over and greeted the two old men.

”Didn’t expect to trouble the granddaughter-in-law to bring him over!”

”It’s good your granddaughter-in-law has a good temper!”

The two older men were used to teasing him.

”Hmph! Our kid doesn’t have those strange quirks, wherever I say to go, she follows. But Mumu, you should head to work, we’ll stroll inside for a bit, and their driver will take me back later.”

The old man spoke again, turning back to Qin Mu to let her know.

”Alright! I’ll head to work. If anything comes up, just call me, I’m not too busy today!”

Qin Mu spoke softly, worried that the old man might get into a spat while chatting.

”Hmm! You go ahead. Old man Jing will come by later. You might not want to see him and be unhappy.”
