His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1479: Chapter 416: His Smile (Part 2)

Mu Yichen heard the sound of the door opening, turned his head to look over, and saw Qin Mu standing there in her pajamas, looking at him suspiciously.

”I know, congratulations!”

After Mu Yichen finished speaking, he hung up the phone, not paying attention to the endless chatter from the other side.

”Why did you suddenly come to the study?”

Qin Mu asked him, seeing his mysterious demeanor, and as soon as she walked in, she smelled the familiar scent of smoke and lowered her eyes to see the cigarette held between his elegant fingers.

Mu Yichen chuckled lightly: ”The smell in our bedroom is too pleasant, I couldn’t bring myself to smoke in there, so I came out. Missed me this quickly?”

Qin Mu didn’t say anything, just gave a light smile; she actually believed him.

”The call just now was from Zhiyuan. That kid said he’s going to be a dad.”

Even with Mu Yichen’s calm tone, he couldn’t hide his happiness for his friend.

Qin Mu unconsciously widened her eyes: ”Really? An Nan is pregnant!”

That means that the two of them will have to get married soon!

Qin Mu couldn’t help but smile excitedly.

Mu Yichen sighed softly, looking at her with indulgent eyes: ”Mrs. Mu, getting so excited over someone else’s news?”

”You’re not excited? Really not excited?”

Qin Mu turned her head persistently to look at him, thinking that he must be as excited as she is.

It’s just that Mr. Mu is great at pretending, that’s why she couldn’t tell.

Mu Yichen finally also smiled a bit.

Jiang Zhiyuan, that kid, always being so dramatic, has finally settled down.

”Let’s go back to the room!”

Mu Yichen saw her hair was still wet and hugged her to take her away.

”What about your cigarette?”

Qin Mu asked.

”Not going to smoke it!”

Mu Yichen replied, putting out the cigarette in the ashtray on the desk before leaving.

Actually, before showering, Qin Mu had sprayed some perfume in the bedroom and said it felt so romantic! Unexpectedly, Mr. Mu then didn’t smoke in the bedroom.

Qin Mu returned to the room with him, and Mu Yichen grabbed a hairdryer, plugged it in by the bed, and carefully dried her hair.

Qin Mu lowered her head like a ghost, with her hair hanging down. Feng Fanghua knocked on the door with no response, so she pushed the door open herself, glanced in, and was almost scared half to death.

”Oh my God! What are you two doing?”

Feng Fanghua asked them, her face turning pale.

Qin Mu then lifted her head and, seeing Feng Fanghua had come, immediately stopped her prank and pushed her hair back behind her ears.

Mu Yichen turned off the hairdryer: ”What brings you here?”

”Can’t I come looking for your wife to talk about something?”

Feng Fanghua felt a bit hurt seeing her son not too welcoming, but she didn’t show it.

Mu Yichen didn’t say anything, just bent down to unplug the hairdryer and took it to put back in the bathroom.

Qin Mu looked up: ”Mom, what’s the matter?”

”Tomorrow you accompany me to a charity event, at noon!”

Feng Fanghua told her.

”Okay!”

Qin Mu’s big round eyes turned a few times, daring not to refuse. The first word out of her mouth was ’okay’.

”Then I’ll head back to my room, what were you doing just now? Playing ghost?”

Feng Fanghua asked her with a frown.

”Hehe!”

Qin Mu awkwardly laughed; she was just bored and had done that without expecting her mother-in-law to suddenly show up.

”By the way! Tell your husband that I did knock on the door when I came, just no one answered, lest he thinks I barged in and gets upset. I’m leaving!”

Feng Fanghua instructed once more, then left.

Qin Mu followed to send her off, closing the door behind her.

Mu Yichen leaned against the bathroom door, watching as the woman closed the door, and softly reminded her: ”Lock it.”

Qin Mu suddenly realized, then quickly locked the door.

But after locking it, things felt a bit odd, as if they were about to do something secretive.

”Mom wants me to attend a charity event tomorrow at noon!”

Qin Mu, wearing beautiful pajamas, walked towards him, mentioning it in passing.

”Hmm! There is an auction event happening soon, and Helian Hao should also be going with her elders, so don’t worry about not having company!”

Mu Yichen told her after listening.

”Oh! Then I’ll get in touch with Xiaohao later, but I feel like I’ve unconsciously joined the ranks of married women, starting to appear among many married women now.”

”Mrs. Mu, you’ve been married for many years!”

Mu Yichen couldn’t help reminding her.

Qin Mu felt even more heart-stricken.

”Do you still think you’re back to the days when you could act recklessly as you wished? Or like when we first got married, and I couldn’t quite understand you, saying we should have a secret marriage and I followed your lead in secrecy?”
