Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

From MC’s Perspective:

My heart is racing fast. The black figure is staring at me. If someone doesn’t help me soon, then I might be forced to use the Gregor Mansion, which I don’t want.

As the seconds pass, I start to feel the pressure. The eyes of the black figure are not ordinary. There is magic power in this world that you can use without a magic spell.

Before my physique transformation, I used to have a gravity control ability. As this thought comes to mind, I turn around to avoid his gaze.

Suddenly, I feel my mind relax, as if it were released from some pressure.

On the other hand, the Forbidden Wizard feels that time is running out. He doesn’t think that the kid was affected by his gaze.

He decides to catch him.

Swoosh!

He disappears from the spot. Just before he reaches Vincent Carey, someone blocks his path.

“Remi, do you want a war?” a purple-clothed woman says to him. The person is none other than Forbidden Wizard Charlotte.

Seeing her, the Forbidden Wizard’s expression changes drastically. He is unwilling. But he can’t do anything to that kid right now.

She will save him. So he gives a deep look at the kid before leaving the place.

Charlotte’s eyes flicker. Fortunately, she finds Vincent Carey in time. Otherwise, the Forbidden Wizard Remi would have caused mental damage to Vincent Carey.

At their level, there is no need for spells. They can kill lower-level wizards with a simple glance. She then turns toward Vincent Carey and sees he is drenched in cold sweat.

Her eyes flash with approval. It took her a minute to find him. Until then, Vincent Carey has been withstanding the pressure of the Forbidden Wizard.

She says, “Vincent Carey, you can relax now. You did well. I’ll tell you about him once we return to the Silver Tower.”

After saying that, she doesn’t wait for his response. She takes him and disappears from the spot. From the beginning, no other outsider saw this scene.

Otherwise, the news would have caused a different impact.

A few minutes later,

Charlotte brings him back to the Silver Tower. When they enter the lobby, she releases him.

Gasp!

The next second, I gasp for breath. Then I see Lord Charlotte standing in front of me. She rescued me and brought me here. It all took mere seconds.

“Thank you, Lord, for saving my life,” I say to her.

Charlotte smiles and replies, “You are alive because of you. I made a mistake by trusting the Black Tower. I never thought their Forbidden Wizard could target a Wizard Seed.”

“You did well by withstanding his pressure. Otherwise, it would have had an impact on your mind,” she adds.

Hearing that, my heart skips a beat. But I know she is right. The system warned me in time. Because of it, I was able to compose myself.

“Lord, but who is he? Why did he target me?” I ask her.

“His name is Remi. He is one of the Black Tower’s Forbidden Wizards. That kid Tom Doyle belongs to his faction. Now that you have defeated him, it is going to damage the reputation of the Black Tower. Then it will affect their internal factions as well. He couldn’t digest the loss. So he targeted you.”

“Fortunately, I was able to save you,” Charlotte says in a cold tone.

A hint of fear flashes in my eyes. What if this Forbidden Wizard targets me outside? Then who could save me?

Charlotte sees through my thoughts. She can’t watch over me all day and night. The threat from the Black Tower is real.

She also knows about the Forbidden Wizard Remi. That guy has done too many killings in his life. The Mage Union didn’t say anything because of the Black Tower’s position.

But now he has set his eyes on their Wizard Seed. How can she let this happen? It’s hard for a magic tower to find the next generation.

Now their Silver Tower has Vincent Carey, who has the potential to reach Forbidden Level. She decides to protect him at all costs.

“Vincent Carey, listen to me!”

“Don’t go outside. I think Forbidden Wizard Remi won’t let this slide. I will report to the Mage Union.”

“Only the Mage Union can stop him. Until then, you can focus on your appraisal job,” Charlotte says.

Hearing that, a look of understanding dawns on me.

“I will be careful,” I reply.

“Take this fruit. It will strengthen your mental power,” Charlotte says after taking out a purple fruit.

Seeing that, my heart races with excitement. I accept her fruit.

“You can go back to your room now. Lara is going to collect the betting money. She will come later,” Charlotte says.

I nod to her before leaving the place.

Charlotte sighs inwardly. Things went beyond her expectations. She takes her device and contacts the Superior in the Mage Union.

Meanwhile,

I returned to my room a few minutes later. The first thing I do is take a deep breath. I immediately go to the bed and lie down.

A sense of comfort and relief washes over me.

With a thought, I call the status panel to my mind. The status panel appears in front of me the next second.

My gaze falls on my mental power. It has almost gone to the bottom.

Gasp!

My heart skips a beat. I didn’t expect that a mere gaze from the Forbidden Wizard would hurt me this badly. No wonder I was feeling a headache.

If he had really used some magic spell, I would have been gone.

After calming down my turbulent heart, I dismissed the status panel. I decided to rest. Only sleep can remove my fatigue. I close my eyes and fall asleep.

An hour later,

I woke up after feeling a headache. I recall the purple fruit given by Lord Charlotte. I take the fruit out and consume it in one go.

Then I close my eyes and start to run the mental method. Slowly, I feel that the pain is going away. It doesn’t take long for the headache to disappear.

Then I think about the status panel.

The status panel appears before my eyes. My gaze falls on my mental power. I see that it has not only recovered but also risen by one stat. I sigh inwardly.

I don’t know the name of the purple fruit. But it cured my mental injury. If I had wanted to recover without magic fruits, it might have taken a couple of days.

Fortunately, she gave me the fruit. My heart fills with coldness thinking about the Forbidden Wizard Remi.

Meanwhile,

The result of the magic arena duel begins to spread. The whole Magic City is in a state of shock. They didn’t expect Tom Doyle to lose the duel.

But when the news channels start to report, they realize the news is true. Wizard Seed Vincent Carey ended the duel in one move.

The news causes many people to learn about Vincent Carey. Some of the channels start to telecast the old news as well, where Tom Doyle was defeated not long ago.

With Tom Doyle’s defeat, the reputation of the Black Tower is hit as well. The families that are connected to the Black Tower begin to show worry.

If the wizard seeds are weak, it will affect the next generation. Right now, the Black Tower holds a powerful position among the Magic Towers.

If the wizard seeds are weak, it indicates that they won’t have much potential. Now, the Black Tower has to pacify the forces connected to them.

On the other hand, the families connected to the Silver Tower celebrate Vincent Carey’s win. Because of the newcomer’s win, the Silver Tower comes to the limelight again.
