Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

From MC’s Perspective:

The Zero Puppet investigates the surroundings. It felt dense mana in the area. At the same time, there are no traces of humans or building structures. This place is a complete forest.

It didn’t take long for the Zero Puppet to confirm the findings before returning.

“Master!”

I heard the Zero Puppet’s call and looked at the puppet with surprise.

“Master, this place is safe. There are no signs of monsters or wizards. But the environment has pure, dense mana,” Zero Puppet began to explain.

A few minutes later,

I gained a good understanding of the place thanks to the Zero Puppet. But something was troubling me. The Zero Puppet discovered that the forest was filled with Pinewood Trees.

They were found in large numbers. I couldn’t help but think about the Forbidden Pinewood Forest. I had learned that Gravity Magic Resources could be found in the Pinewood Forest.

But Head Howard had warned me about the danger level of this place. Head Howard had faced a life-threatening situation in that forest, which made him drop this matter from his mind.

I didn’t expect to recall this forbidden area today. The only way I could confirm whether the Pinewood Forest was the same abandoned area was by exploring the place. Enjoy exclusive adventures from My Virtual Library Empire

After making the decision, I deactivated the Zero Puppet and put it inside Gregor Mansion. Then I changed my attire and put on a new wandering wizard dress.

I wore a magic cloak over the clothing. Then I used the mask to cover my face.

Swoosh!

I appeared outside and started moving into the forest. I was flying a few meters above the ground. I didn’t want to step on anything dangerous.

According to the ruins lectures, dangerous areas were usually filled with all kinds of traps. Though I didn’t know whether the place was a forbidden area or not, I didn’t want to take any risks.

So I carefully strode forward.

Time passed,

As I continued to go deeper, I didn’t encounter any monsters whatsoever. Slowly, a bad premonition rose in my heart. I didn’t know why I felt that the deeper areas of the Pinewood Forest were not safe.

But I had no choice but to confirm it. If the place was really the Abandoned Pinewood Forest, then I could think of my next plan.

[Ding! Warning]

[A Dangerous Parasite Magical Creature has taken the Pinewood Tree as its host.]

The system warned me in my mind. The next second, I stopped moving and started looking around. My gaze fell on a series of Pinewood Trees ahead of me.

A black smog covered those trees. Not only that particular tree; I saw other Pinewood Trees covered with black smog as well.

My eyes flashed with doubt. Usually, the smog is not that thick. But here I see a thick black film covering the trees. My heart palpitated all of a sudden.

“It’s not usual smog,” I mumbled.

For a second, I hesitated. I didn’t know whether it was okay to continue going deeper. I took a few minutes to figure out my next plan.

I decided to go around, avoiding this route.

Time passed,

After crossing half a mile of distance, I got closer to the deeper area. But the place had become quieter. The sense of crisis had increased compared to before.

[Ding! Warning]

[Host, a Parasite Magical Creature has spotted you.]

The system issued a warning again. Hearing that, my back went cold. I looked around and saw a huge black smog coming toward me.

Swoosh!

The next second, I used my flight ability to flee. In the blink of an eye, I crossed a thousand meters. Yet the black smog was even faster.

It was catching up to me. I turned around and only saw a glimpse of the black smog, but it was enough to send goosebumps all over my body.

“What is that thing?” I asked myself in a dreadful tone.

I turned back and resumed fleeing. The Magical Creature had no eyes, ears, or mouth. It was a complete pitch-black layer, yet it gave me a huge sense of crisis.

Behind me, the parasitic black smog was getting closer to its prey. Wherever the vegetation came into contact with the black smog, its vitality was sucked away.

A few minutes later,

[Ding! Warning!]

[Host is advised to enter the Gregor Mansion. Otherwise, he will be dead.]

The system voice sounded again. My expression changed drastically.

Swoosh!

With a thought, I entered the Gregor Mansion.

At the same time, the black smog flew over the previous spot. The dense vegetation on the ground ended up drying out.

After crossing some distance, the parasitic black smog stopped moving. The magical creature realized that it had failed to capture its prey.

It then started to search the area.

Inside the Gregor Mansion, I lay on the floor out of tiredness. I had never seen such a magical creature before. To think I had come across two Magical Creatures in succession.

Compared to the weird red crow, this parasitic magical creature seemed more dangerous. The red crow acted as if it had intelligence, specifically targeting me.

But this parasitic magical creature was acting on instinct. If I had come across only one, I wouldn’t be so sure. Earlier, I saw a similar magical creature enveloping the tree.

“Abandoned Pinewood Forest,” I muttered to myself.

I was starting to realize that it was the same Pinewood Forest. If I had learned more about the Forbidden Pinewood Forest back in the Anderson Family, I could be at ease.

Suddenly, a realization dawned on me.

I recalled using the Zero Puppet for interrogation back then. I didn’t know whether its report had any information about the Forbidden Pinewood Forest.

Then I stood up and approached the Zero Puppet. I filled its slot with mana stones.

Buzz!

The next second, it came back to life.

“Master,” the Zero Puppet greeted.

Hearing that, I asked, “Zero, do you have any information about the Forbidden Pinewood Forest located close to the Anderson Family?”
