Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

From MC’s Perspective:

“What do they want?” I thought.

The system never failed me. So one among them had shown a desire to kill me. But they can’t do it inside the campus.

So where do they get courage from? A question appeared in my mind. Then I thought of yesterday’s attack. My expression grew serious.

Lately, my enemies have been getting restless. Don’t tell me that they had found someone to attack me. I quickly connected the dots.

Then I ignored them and started eating the food.

On the other hand, the Beast Taming Department’s students looked at each other.

“Did he find out anything?” one of them asked.

“Impossible!”

“We were just looking at him,” his friend replied.

“Wait for him to finish dinner. Once he enters the corridor while leaving, we will use the magic scroll on him,” the person who had the magic scroll said.

Hearing that, everyone quieted down. They had decided to wait for now.

Time passed.

I felt those guys continuously looking at me. Not one among them was distracted.

“Strange,” my eyes flickered.

Their behavior gave me the feeling that they were waiting for something to happen. Then I thought of something important.

Last time, people from the Attack Department were unimpressed with me. They had talked about their Attack Department Representative.

“Would he come?” I asked myself.

Those guys are different. But these people are strangers.

With doubt, I continued eating. While doing that, I was trying to come up with a solution. I was more eager to see what they were up to.

Suddenly, I thought of the Zero Puppet. It’s been some time since I had used the Zero Puppet. I don’t know if the puppet eavesdropped on the conversation of these people.

A quick gleam flashed in my eyes.

I turned around and sized up the capacity of the canteen. There were dorm students coming and going.

While looking around, I found a janitor’s room not far away from me. It was just a couple of steps away.

About 10 minutes later,

After having the food, I took the food plate to the cleaner.

On the other hand, the Beast Taming Wizards became serious.

“Let’s go,” one of them said.

The next second, the group stood up and got ready to leave at any moment. But they were waiting for Vincent Carey to leave first.

At the same time, I left the place and started heading towards the janitor’s room.

“Where is he going?” The Beast Taming Wizards were shocked.

“Maybe he is going to the washroom?” his friend replied.

Hearing that, they became quiet.

After entering the janitor’s room, I closed the door.

Swoosh!

I appeared inside the Gregor Mansion. The Zero Puppet was standing in the middle of the hall. I walked up to it. Then I took a mid-grade mana stone from the storage ring and placed it inside the puppet’s core.

Buzz!

The puppet came to life.

“Master,” Zero’s blue eyes flickered.

I smiled and said, “Someone is targeting me. Stay inside the room and eavesdrop on the conversation happening inside the canteen.”

“If you find anything about me, raise your hand. Then I’ll bring you back here,” I added further.

“As per your command,” the Zero Puppet replied.

I grabbed its shoulder and appeared outside.

The door was still locked.

“Stay here. If anyone comes closer, then raise both your hands,” I said to the puppet.

“As per your command,” the Zero Puppet replied.

Swoosh!

The next second, I appeared inside the Gregor Mansion and entered the control room to watch from the control mirror.

Outside,

The Zero Puppet’s blue eyes flickered. Its hearing function started operating. It could hear all the conversations happening inside the canteen right now.

It started to listen to everything. At the same time, the puppet looked for keywords and hostile intentions towards the master.

On the other hand, the Beast Taming Wizards were patiently waiting.

Some of the wizards from other departments had noticed Vincent going to the janitor’s room. They thought Vincent was using the washroom as well.

Time passed.

Those who had dinner left the canteen right away. On the other hand, the other hungry students started coming in.

The Beast Taming Wizards looked at each other’s faces.

“What’s going on?”

“I think Vincent Carey’s stomach is upset.”

“We might have to wait longer.”

“We have to be careful.”

“We don’t want anyone to see us using the magic scroll.”

“If we get caught, it will be over for us.”

“It’s just a simple binding spell.”

“He will recover after one day. So don’t worry about it.”

They were discussing among themselves. But they didn’t know the Zero Puppet was recording their conversation when they mentioned Vincent Carey’s name.

The Zero Puppet immediately raised its right hand above.

In the control room, my eyes flickered. But I decided to wait and see whether they were going to come to the room or not.

The Zero Puppet continued to stand while eavesdropping on everyone’s conversation.

Time passed.

People left one after another. The canteen closing time was also nearing. The unusual behavior of the Beast Taming Wizards attracted the attention of the staff.

They had all been seeing these people waiting for someone. Yet they continued to wait.

“F*ck!”

“Let’s go and check the janitor’s room.”

The person who had the magic scroll spoke.

“Yeah, let’s go!”

“I think we should use the binding spell inside the janitor’s room.”

“No, the staff might report us.”

“He… He… He… We have the council elder behind us. He was the one who told us to do it. So he will definitely save us.”

They were discussing while walking when they got closer to the janitor’s room.

The Zero Puppet raised both of its hands.

Swoosh!

I appeared outside. Then I grabbed the shoulder of the Zero Puppet before appearing inside the Gregor Mansion again.

“Master, I have recorded every conversation,” the Zero Puppet replied.

“Let’s go and look at the control mirror first,” I said.

Then we entered the control room and walked up to the control mirror.

Shortly afterward,

The Beast Taming Wizards entered the room. Looking at them in the control mirror, my eyes turned cold.
